Can't fault Broxburn Care home, all the staff are amazing and the residents are all looked after to a high standard. It is a home from home and families are welcome to visit at any time.
My Dad is currently residing here and he loves his surroundings and all the staff.
Regular trips and social activities

The care home staff helped both my mum and us settle with this new living situation. The staff have always shown to be kind and helpful with any questions. They seem to be eager for suggestions and looking for ways to improve the experience for the residents, As I'm sure is the same everywhere, a smaller
staff:resident ratio would be benefitial. However, every staff member works extremely hard. I know my mum is safe, well cared for and encouraged to join in activities.

My mum has been in Broxburn nursing home for two years she is well looked after.
Treated with respect and dignatiy. The staff are all profesonal and friendly nothing is to much bother. My mum has made a lot of friends in the home. They have a lot of varied activities and social events that everyone
is encouraged to join in. The home is well maintained. The main thing is as a family we know my mum is safe and well looked after.

I can't fault the care and attention my mum got at Eastleigh. All members of staff gets to know the individuals personally and makes them feel welcome. My mum was there for 3 years and she felt safe and happy. It was clean and they left us make her room homely, we could put pictures up and she could
have her personal things around her. They interact with the residents and put on as must entertainment that they can. Hairdresser on site. The staff were always welcoming.

My dad has been a resident in Astley House for four years. I am very happy with the care and attention he receives from all the friendly and attentive staff. The staff all have demanding jobs, caring and supporting the residents, many who have dementia, not a condition that is easy to deal with. My
dad is settled and safe in his surroundings. That gives me peace of mind that he is well looked after, especially when I am abroad on holiday or when I am recovering after an operation. I appreciate the social media posts and contact from staff that keep me up to date in between visits.

Astley House is great. My dad moved in after a spell in hospital and the staff have been wonderful and caring. It's the people that make Astley House and they really do care. The staff are fantastic with my father. He is well looked after, always clean. There is one member of staff who always goes above and beyond her duties to do what she can to make Dad's life better, and always has his best interest at heart. She looks out for the family too. She's always smiling and
laughing.

My partner has been in the home for over four years now, and there have been continual improvements to the home during that time, particularly under the new manager. The care is always good, and my partner is settled. I can see that she is cared for, and the staff all like her. If there are any issues,
then they are resolved once they are brought to their attention. It is a relief for me to know that I can trust in the care my partner is given. That is so important.

My father has been at Astley House for nearly a year. I live in America so it is vital for me that his care is good. The staff feel like family -- we keep in close video contact and I am beyond thankful their kindness and understanding. The attention they give to my father's physical and emotional needs
is fine-tuned, carefully considered at every turn. I could not recommend it more highly.

I cannot recommend Astley Care Home highly enough. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are met with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of care. The level of care provided is truly outstanding. The team is not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate, treating residents
with the dignity and kindness they deserve. Whether it's assistance with daily activities, medical care, or simply offering companionship, they excel in every aspect.
What truly sets Astley apart is the personal touch-staff take the time to get to know each resident, ensuring their individual preferences and needs are met. Families are kept well-informed, and there is always an open line of communication, which provides great peace of mind.
If you are looking for a care home that prioritises both excellence and compassion, Astley is an exceptional choice. It is clear that residents here are not just looked after-they are genuinely cared for .

I am extremely happy with the care my husband is receiving in Astley House. The staff are all very friendly and cheerful despite having a very demanding job caring for residents, many with dementia like my husband. They always treat him with respect and speak directly to him in a calm and supportive
manner, helping when require but also encouraging him to be as independent as possible. They are always well informed about how he has slept, eaten or his level of activity (walking). Both staff and management have been very supportive to me and family members when visiting. The home is always very clean, no unpleasant smells, residents are encouraged to be as active as suitable, going out into the garden in good weather. A variety of good food is provided with choices. I have complete confidence that my husband is receiving the best care in Astley House.
