This is a very welcoming home - staff have just been wonderful at helping to support my mum with her daily needs - they know her well. The management ant the home are wonderful and have created such a warm and caring ethos. They have also been a great support to me and I have peace of mind knowing my
mum is well looked after there, when I have to be at work. It is like being part of a big family. Thank you for all your hard work.

My Mum has been in Astley House for 5 years and is well known to the staff who are always helpful and caring. I am always informed if there are any health issues or if she has had a fall. She is now eating well and enjoying the food. Her room is always clean and tidy as is the ensuite shower room. She
has a lovely view of the garden and her room is bright and sunny. There are plenty of activities going on with musical entertainers visiting the home on a regular basis. I enjoy the newsletter from the home which keeps me up to date with all that is going on. My Mum enjoys her cups of tea and the cakes especially. Birthday cakes are made by the chef whenever it's someone's birthday which is a nice thought.

I have found the care my father-in-law receives is of a high standard. The nursing home provides a great variety of activities for the residents, the care givers are always polite and take interest in those they look after. The staff also include "wee" gestures of kindness in raising funds so the residents
are well catered for i.e. movie afternoons, local singers etc which my father-in-law, really enjoys. All I can say is in the 2 years he has been there, he remains happy + content all due to the quality of care from the staff.

The care home staff helped both my mum and us settle with this new living situation. The staff have always shown to be kind and helpful with any questions. They seem to be eager for suggestions and looking for ways to improve the experience for the residents, As I'm sure is the same everywhere, a smaller
staff:resident ratio would be benefitial. However, every staff member works extremely hard. I know my mum is safe, well cared for and encouraged to join in activities.

I can't fault the care and attention my mum got at Eastleigh. All members of staff gets to know the individuals personally and makes them feel welcome. My mum was there for 3 years and she felt safe and happy. It was clean and they left us make her room homely, we could put pictures up and she could
have her personal things around her. They interact with the residents and put on as must entertainment that they can. Hairdresser on site. The staff were always welcoming.

My dad has been a resident in Astley House for four years. I am very happy with the care and attention he receives from all the friendly and attentive staff. The staff all have demanding jobs, caring and supporting the residents, many who have dementia, not a condition that is easy to deal with. My
dad is settled and safe in his surroundings. That gives me peace of mind that he is well looked after, especially when I am abroad on holiday or when I am recovering after an operation. I appreciate the social media posts and contact from staff that keep me up to date in between visits.

The staff are fantastic with my father. He is well looked after, always clean. There is one member of staff who always goes above and beyond her duties to do what she can to make Dad's life better, and always has his best interest at heart. She looks out for the family too. She's always smiling and
laughing.
