My father was a resident of Astley House for 2 years and 4 months. He died in March, 2026 at the age of 95. He was very well cared for during his time there, and this was very evident when his health was failing. The staff were all kind, caring and went to great lengths to make sure my Dad was comfortable and as pain free as possible. The family were always made welcome. We received practical and emotional support from Kirsty , Soniya and their team. Dad made strong connections with a number of staff and we will always have fond memories of Astley House.

Astley House have been excellent, admitting my 57 year old brother, who has a very aggressive form of dementia, at short notice between Xmas and New Year 2025. Four months on, I could not be happier with the level of service. They have prioritised resources to provide my brother with a supervised daily walk in the local area, which has been excellent for his physical and mental wellbeing. Because of his condition, he struggles with communication, and isn't very involved with the other residents, but the staff have really taken to him and have made him feel very welcome. This has helped greatly to stabilise his condition, which gives me peace of mind after a very difficult period prior to his admission.

I have been consistently impressed by the care my mum receives in Astley House. The staff are patient, compassionate, and highly perceptive of her dementia-related changes, as well as attentive to her physical needs, including personal hygiene.

They respond quickly to any call for help, and every phone interaction has been polite and reassuring. It is clear that professional nursing standards are upheld throughout the home. She has a delightful room with a large ensuite.

My assessment comes from decades of professional nursing experience in ICU, Renal Units, and from many nursing homes, through agency work. I've seen the full spectrum of care environments, and this home stands out for all the right reasons.

To any prospective relative, I can confidently assure you that the care given here is exceptional - the kind of consistent, dignified, person-centred care that, unfortunately, is not found in every nursing home. I know that my mum is in safe & professional hands.

The care home keep you in touch with any news relating to your relative le vaccinations, change to medicine etc.

This is a very welcoming home - staff have just been wonderful at helping to support my mum with her daily needs - they know her well. The management ant the home are wonderful and have created such a warm and caring ethos. They have also been a great support to me and I have peace of mind knowing my mum is well looked after there, when I have to be at work. It is like being part of a big family. Thank you for all your hard work.

My Mum has been in Astley House for 5 years and is well known to the staff who are always helpful and caring. I am always informed if there are any health issues or if she has had a fall. She is now eating well and enjoying the food. Her room is always clean and tidy as is the ensuite shower room. She has a lovely view of the garden and her room is bright and sunny. There are plenty of activities going on with musical entertainers visiting the home on a regular basis. I enjoy the newsletter from the home which keeps me up to date with all that is going on. My Mum enjoys her cups of tea and the cakes especially. Birthday cakes are made by the chef whenever it's someone's birthday which is a nice thought.

My dad has been a resident in Astley House for four years. I am very happy with the care and attention he receives from all the friendly and attentive staff. The staff all have demanding jobs, caring and supporting the residents, many who have dementia, not a condition that is easy to deal with. My dad is settled and safe in his surroundings. That gives me peace of mind that he is well looked after, especially when I am abroad on holiday or when I am recovering after an operation. I appreciate the social media posts and contact from staff that keep me up to date in between visits.

Astley House is great. My dad moved in after a spell in hospital and the staff have been wonderful and caring. It's the people that make Astley House and they really do care. My dad loves the food and the lovely views of the golf course and beach. He is treated with dignity and respect and the management are always on top of any issues.

The management & staff work as a very efficient team to provide a high standard of care for residents and are friendly, helpful & approachable they are also very supportive of family/friends. It is reassuring to know that the care given to my husband is of the highest quality and that he is treated with compassion and dignity.

My father has been at Astley House for nearly a year. I live in America so it is vital for me that his care is good. The staff feel like family -- we keep in close video contact and I am beyond thankful their kindness and understanding. I am extremely happy with the care my husband is receiving in Astley House. The staff are all very friendly and cheerful despite having a very demanding job caring for residents, many with dementia like my husband. They always treat him with respect and speak directly to him in a calm and supportive manner, helping when require but also encouraging him to be as independent as possible. They are always well informed about how he has slept, eaten or his level of activity (walking). Both staff and management have been very supportive to me and family members when visiting. The home is always very clean, no unpleasant smells, residents are encouraged to be as active as suitable, going out into the garden in good weather. A variety of good food is provided with choices. I have complete confidence that my husband is receiving the best care in Astley House.

Amazingly managed. The managers & staff have my parents-in-law's best interests as their focus at all times. Home baking, snacks, coffee, tea and juice on the go all the time. Friendly, chatty staff. Great activities, also constantly on the go. The wider family all enjoy the social media posts and being able to keep up to date.

Mum has been a resident for the past 12 months I find the managers and staff really approachable and friendly Mum's care has been very good there is a lovely atmosphere in the home it is always clean and tidy we feel we made the right decision for mum placing her at Astley House she has come on a lot with the care of the staff and she is settled and safe, managers are always happy to help and advise if needed and the lady is so helpful with the financial side

Very happy with care at Astley House. Staff are warm, caring and very in-tune with Residents needs. The environment is very home-like. Communication is very good and we are informed of any staff concerns and observations. Mum is happy and loves the care-givers.

Beware this company includes interest monthly after your loved one passes away. If you have a solicitor it can take up to 6-9 months or longer to complete their estate. My experience was terrible from the start, bullying from day one and the level of care was not satisfactory.
