Overall Experience

The manager and staff are very approachable any concerns I know I can chat with them, the manager goes above and beyond, the care is outstanding, with dignity, compassion and empathy, when I go to see my mum she always looks clean and dressed smartly, all the other residents do to, the home is very clean the food looks amazing, lots of activities, entertainment for everyone, couldn't ask for a better care home where I know my mum is safe and well cared for.

Overall Experience
Mum has been in the Rosehaven for eight months now after we could not meet her needs anymore at home. We could not be happier with the care she receives. Staff go above and beyond in caring for mums ever changing needs.
From singing to Dolly at breakfast time to settling her sundowning in the evening, staff give my mum excellent care and support
If mum shows any signs of illness, they are quickly onto the GP or out of hours service to ensure her medical needs are met ASAP. They update us at visiting with any issues/ change of meds etc.
Staff speak in a kind tone to mum and other residents and nothing is to much trouble.
Being blind, the home itself is small enough for mum to cope as she can become agitated with the unknown. Staff are patient and understanding with her needs.
She is always well presented and clean.

I really don't think mum would settle anywhere better.

Overall Experience

Mum is so well looked after. The staff are lovely with her, listening to music with her and calming her down when she gets confused because of her dementia. The manager is doing a great job training her staff and the care they provide is really good. All the staff make me feel welcome during my several unannounced visits each week making me a brew on arrival and talking me through how mum has been since my last visit. They arrange for a hairdresser and chiropodist to visit the home regularly. They have activities such as chair exercise and singing. Mum has lots of medical issues and the staff call the doctor promptly if mum is not well, then letting me know so that i can be there to support mum when they arrive. Mum can't use a mobile phone so if she wants to talk to me the staff call me. Mum settled in well and is very happy with her care, the meals and snacks she gets and her ensuite room. Her room is always clean and tidy as are the communal areas. Mum is treated with dignity.

Overall Experience
My dad came to The Owls late January 2023. The difference in him is remarkable! He’s happy and relaxed, he put on weight and really enjoys living there.

The staff are amazing, caring and compassionate. There’s lots for the residents to do, quizzes, singers etc! There’s a hairdresser that goes in. I would highly recommend The Owls!

Review of Rosehaven Residential Care Home from Janice G (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 March 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum loved it here, the staff are caring and really looked after her, unfortunately my mum had to go into a nursing home because of her needs. I would recommend this care home. It's clean, good food, great communications between staff and patients. You can visit anytime without an appointment which says a lot. Plenty of activities and my dogs were allowed to visit my mum whom she loves very much.

What can I say this care home is the best, my dad loved it. He was very happy, all the staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. We think of them as our extended family now. My dad sadly has passed away peacefully now. All the staff was amazing, they did lots of activities which all the residents love. We are eternally grateful for all the love and care they gave him.

Review of Rosehaven Residential Care Home from Nicola F (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 30 June 2020 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Grandad has been in Rosehaven Care Home since December 2019. I had my reservations about his well-being when he could no longer stay in his own home, but I've seen such a transformation in him since he arrived at Rosehaven.
He is now much happier and loves the care team, who provide such a warm and caring environment. During lockdown especially, I could not fault the level of care my Grandad received. I was able to speak to him regularly on the phone or face to face on an i-pad and it never seemed too much trouble. Since June 1st, the staff have organised socially-distanced meetings outside, which have been wonderful. Grandad always tells me not to worry about him, as he's well fed and well looked after and he'd definitely tell me if he wasn't!

I'd thoroughly recommend Rosehaven Care Home to care for your loved ones.

The care and support our family member has received in the last 6 months has been second to none, even through Covid 19 the staff and management have been kind, courteous and supportive of his needs and ours. My father-in-law is extremely happy with the place he now calls home and we know he is clean, happy, fed and looked after.

The staff work tirelessly supporting these vulnerable adults and we are extremely happy to have found such a lovely happy caring home for his final years.

Review of Rosehaven Residential Care Home from K R (Friend of Resident) published on 24 May 2017 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Love all the staff at Rosehaven. Such a dedicated team devoted to providing the most compassionate and family orientated care to all of its residents. No resident will ever want for anything and the atmosphere is that of one big family, not like the standard atmosphere you'd find in most care homes. You can pay for clinical and boring care but this care home is real and rustic, there's always something going on and never a dull moment. Actually kinda wish I could move in myself. Hats off to you all! K X x x

My mum was a resident of this care home for almost four years until she passed away in July 2016. During her time there she received the very best care. The staff were warm and developed a real relationship with and affection for her. I and all the members of my family who visited were always made very welcome. I honestly could not have found a better place for my mum to end her days. I will always be grateful to the manager and staff for the standard of care.

This is the best kindest caring loving staff you will find in Lancashire area, they have hearts of gold in all they do on a daily basis. It's not just a job to the staff or the management here they give 100% and more. The home is welcoming to residents and families. They take it into their lives to be involved with the families of residents and by looking after both my parents there they became our family too. They deserve to be praised for the work they do and the love and time they give from their own lives. Even on days when they have troubles of their own they still find the time to smile and carry on caring and loving all the residents in their care. They deserve rewards for all they do for the kindness given from their heart. Rosehaven is warm welcoming clean happy caring home, please use it.
