We were offered Sunrise Nursing Home after my mother was unable to stay in her bungalow.
Kay the manager, invited me to have a look around and we had the choice of two rooms that were available, we decided on the larger one of the two as we needed to accommodate mums mobility needs.
When I moved
mum in, I asked about pictures and decorating, Kay said that this was your mum's home now and that I could do what was needed to make it homely for her. So I provided the wallpaper, curtains and shelves and they were put up on my behalf. If I did have any queries, I would raise them with Kay and she would have it resolved straight away. The carers, nurses, activity coordinators and the handyman were all very caring and approachable, and within a week mum had settled in and was enjoying playing bingo, therapy dog visits and exercise classes. Mum enjoyed the food offered and they were able to accommodate her purée needs. I would highly recommend Sunrise Nursing Home.

Following a brief hospital stay our dad moved to Sunrise Nursing Home for end of life care. During his brief stay. The manager was approachable and very supportive. All the staff were friendly, kind and very respectful towards dad, and to all family members who spent many hours there. Thank you to all,
and for helping us through a very upsetting and difficult time.

My Mother moved to Sunrise from a less than adequate care home in Ipswich. Before the move we were invited as a family to visit the premises, to look around and ask any questions we wanted.
The decision was made to move Mum there and from that day she became a member of the Sunrise family.
Nothing
was too much trouble for the staff and Management and we came to look on them as trusted friends rather than staff.
Mum soon made friends and it was a pleasure to visit and find her happily chatting to friends she had made since moving in.
There were obviously times when Mum wasn't feeling at her best and would take to her room. During these times she was afforded as much privacy as was possible within the confines of what was required to ensure her care and treatment.
I never regret the decision to move her there and our family are still close to the Staff even after Mums death In June of this year. I can't recommend Sunrise highly enough.

My father is very happy living at Elton Park Care home. The team are always cheerful, friendly and have a positive attitude. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I know that dad's care and social needs are always met. The team encourage dad to participate in a variety of activities so I don't have to worry
that he is lonely or bored. The home is clean, spacious and safe.

We as a family could not have wished for better care for our father. The staff were friendly. Always had time to speak to our father. The respect they showed our father was above and beyond although our father did not have a long stay before he passed away. The staff kept us informed at all times, and
treated us with respect and gave us the time we needed and support right up to the end.

My Mum moved to Chilton Croft, from another care home. The care she is receiving is excellent. I cannot fault Chiltern Croft. The staff are great with her. I also feel much more relaxed now she is at Chiltern Croft, it's a great care home.

Currently, my mother is in respite at this home.
The staff are friendly and caring and she reports the food is really good.
But the state of her room is terrible just before her arrival we were told it was a store room.
There's stuff in the corridor outside it. She doesn't have her own bathroom and
the bathroom she can use has spare equipment in it and wheelchairs wedged in either side of the toilet.
She does have a sink in a cupboard in her room but cannot use it as there is a leak and has towels under it to soak up the leak.
She has no bedside lamp even though it's been requested several times.
She has blankets but no quilt even though this has been requested.
And her dressing gown was hooked up from a cupboard handle high up making it difficult and unsafe for her to retrieve. When this was pointed out we were told well if she had a fall trying to get it they would know as have sensors in the floor to alert them to fall. Unbelievable.

My dad had been a resident of this care home since 2019. It has been a brilliant care home with friendly staff and manager. She always went out of her way to help us with Dad. I can't praise Sunrise enough, I would definitely recommend this nursing home. They definitely made Dad's last years of his

I arranged for my husband to stay at Elton Park for one week so that I could take a short holiday. I chose this care home after meeting the management and staff as I was impressed by their interest and attention to the details of him and his requirements. Unfortunately, I had an accident whilst I was
away I had to ask the staff to extend his stay. Initially, this was to be for one more week but ended up being for a further three weeks. They were understanding and helpful and I was relieved that they could accommodate him at a time when I was unable to care for him myself. He enjoyed his stay and became very fond of the staff who took amazing care of him. They went above and beyond the brief to ensure that he was happy and relaxed.

Very pleased with the care my sister in law is receiving. Slight issues that have arose and been dealt with, putting in place a plan to resolve them. Being a new resident we are still in the settling in stage. Required moving from upstairs to down stairs which has improved her socialising.

My wife had unfortunately been quite poorly and after a long time spent in hospital and a decision I didn't take very lightly we as a family decided that we could no longer cater for my wife's needs at home. Elton Park was a home we asked for as my wife had spent some respite there the previous year.
She was given the same room she had previously which I thought was lovely and we came over to bring all of her home comforts before she arrived. Since she has been in I visit almost on a daily basis and the staff are all so welcoming and I can tell my wife is in the best place for her.

My mum had been in hospital for around 8 weeks prior to finally being admitted to Elton Park Care Home and I can honestly say it was the biggest welcome relief to not only get my mum into a home I had requested as she had previously had a week's respite here in 2023. The care and support that all the
staff at Elton Park have given my mum after her hospital stay was so much more attentive to my mum's personal needs they have built her confidence back up as she was treated so poorly in hospital. We visit almost on a daily basis and my family and I feel so welcomed by all the staff here, and we can see the happiness on my mum's face when the carers check in on her.

My mum had been in Sunrise nursing home for the last 8 years. She had to leave her home as she had to have her right leg amputated and couldn’t return home. She was welcomed in by the original staff and said she felt comfortable in the room she was in. The room proved not big enough and straight away
she was given a larger room which she stayed in for her remaining years. Since the new owners and the appointed new manager have taken over I cannot fault the home at all. Any problems Mum had were dealt with straight away and we the family were informed. The staff were always friendly and made you feel welcome. Mum passed away on the 19th of April 2024 and the staff were brilliant right till she passed away.

Mum-in-law has been a resident here for over 8 years (until her recent passing) Sunrise has a lovely homely feel and the staff are always happy, friendly and very caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her and it has always felt reassuring that she was very well looked after. We as a family were

I have been a carer all my working life and I can't fault Chilton Croft at all. The staff is fantastic and the management is as well. The food is vetter than in a very good restaurant. The whole place is very clean. The activities are good as my Dad enjoys them. The staff are all happy and in my mind
that makes a happy home for the residents.

My Father has only been here for around a month now. He has settled in very well. When we looked around the nursing home we were greeted by management and their staff, they were all very lovely and had a good tour around. Spoke about everything they will offer and care for my Father. I do know my Father
hasn't been to any of the activities yet but they are very good from what I have seen when visited.

My father was a resident for 5 years and seemed to be treated well, the care staff I met seemed nice. Unfortunately, my father passed away on January 31st and that was where the problems began. I found it very distasteful that within a couple of hours, I was asked by management to leave a review, no
consideration for what we were going through it seemed. If they wanted a review then maybe send out an email after a few days instead! Some of my dad's belongings were put in the loft which we found out after we asked where they were, sadly I feel that we were let down by management so I hope management can take on board that empathy goes a long way.

Dad has spent nearly two weeks of respite here and honestly, it’s the staff that make Elton spark - a very special place. They are there for the families as much as they are for the residents. They show so much care, compassion and kindness to everyone who walks through the door. They are gentle and
patient with even the most challenging situations. I have great respect for them. They could do with another pair of hands in the kitchen or an area where family and visitors could make or purchase drinks and snacks as you have to call on a member of the care team if you need anything and as willing as they are they are very busy.

On my visit, it was very welcoming, with great managers and staff on hand to assist with anything. The home has a friendly atmosphere, well organised and efficient. Easy to find and park. Security was excellent with a locked door with use of a keypad and I was asked to sign in and out of the visitor
book.
