Overall Experience1.0 out of 5
Our son went into Meyrick Cottage 17th September 2025 for respite.
Lack of care given. Everytime we phoned he was on his own in room. He suffers from constipation but they could never say if bowels had been opened
No common sense used re medication when it was clear he was in pain. They refused to
give him paracetamol even though I asked them to
He complained of toothache in the morning at breakfast and it wasn't until 2pm on a Fri that anyone tried to make a dentist appt so it was the following week he was seen by a dentist who confirmed he was in considerable pain.
No Care Plan was done for him by Meyrick staff
It was suggested to myself and my husband that we phone our son Tues and Thurs at 7pm! We found this to be unbelievable. Who are they to tell us when we can ring our son?
He was given sugar and white bread and when we complained we were told he can make his own choices
Staff rude and disrespectful to parents and carers
