My mum has been in Five Gables for just over 2 years now and it's the best decision she made. Everyone goes above and beyond to help and care for her. All the staff are very welcoming to our family members and look after my mum extremely well.

I am a volunteer, but I am also a friend to the family of one of the residents.
Even though the resident was not very responsive but he had very good care, and he also had other possible treatments, the same as others would.
This care home feels like the own home. So, if in my life I will have
to go into care, I would like to go into this care home or home like this.

Beech Court Care Home

Due to constant pain and increasing disability my brother declined food and drinks on a constant basis, and simply no longer wanted to live. The staff were constantly and lovingly conjoling and encouraging him to eat little and often. They kept me up to date on a daily basis with his withdrawal from
living. He refused medical help until the day his health deteriorated towards his imminent death, but was treated kindly and with love until the ambulance came to take him to hospital. I was called by them as soon as they rang for the ambulance, and above all treated myself with the ultimate kindness throughout. He was 72 and was on his own 'suicide mission' refusing help of any kind for a long while. At all times the staff were understanding, caring and attentive to him through this difficult time. It was the most loving place to be at this painful time.

My wife's grandma moved in @ end of August 2024, and the care she has received has been exemplary. Her general well-being seems to have improved over the past year. Can't praise the staff enough.

My Auntie is a resident and it's extremely happy, she feels it's home. It's very important to her that she feels relaxed and safe and has helped us as a family move forward into this phase of her life and the care required. We have been warmly welcomed at the home and feel part of the daily activities
which are very well communicated to us. Thank you team!

My Mum moved into five Gables in June, she has dementia & we could not manage anymore, looking after her at home. I told her she was going to stay in a hotel, and they would look after her for me. Which it sure is a 5 Star hotel. All the staff are so kind, helpful & professional in their approach
Ttowards my Mum & the other residents.
Five Gables has a really family feel, with excellent freshly cooked meals, everyday. I am so pleased they had a room for my Mum.

My mum was looked after by the excellent staff in Five Gables for almost 2 years. She was given her dignity throughout and allowed the level of care she needed. When the time came that she was end of life she was on full care and could not have been kept more comfortable. Staff were professional but
friends to mum and the family, they loved her as much as we did.

Mum visited Five Gables Kirkby in Ashfield about 2 years ago on respite and liked it so much that she decided to make it her permanent home just a few weeks later. The staff at Five Gables have been exceptional in providing mums care and mum came to love each and every one of the staff. Nothing is too
much effort and I would not hesitate to recommend Five Gables to anyone in the future. Mum passed away this week in happy surroundings and my family and I are sincerely grateful to everyone for everything they did.
Thank you xxx

The Five Gables is a wonderful place. The staff are warm and friendly and provide excellent care. Nothing is too much trouble and they will go the extra mile to ensure needs are met. There is a range of activities provided and Mum loves to go out on visits to the local area. It makes such a difference
to our family, knowing that Mum is so well looked after.

Visitors are always welcomed with a smile at Beech Court which sets the tone for the whole care home. The care and attention given to the residents is excellent, the staff take the time to get to know the residents and encourage them to talk about their lives and interests. Every effort is made to ensure
the residents and visitors are included in activities and there is always a friendly happy atmosphere in the home. The rooms are clean, warm and well cared for and the food always looks good quality and plentiful with tea and biscuits in constant supply. I would have no hesitation in recommending Beech Court to anyone looking for a small friendly care home for their loved ones.

This is a very caring, peaceful place with a kind staff who all work hard to provide a homely atmosphere where its apparent that for them it is more than 'just a job!' much thought and effort goes into each individuals specific needs at all levels with very professional and hands on management. At the
top is an amazing family who all involve themselves with the care for everyone and earn, well deserved, respect.
