9.4 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Papillon
Papillon offers specialist care to clients via a collective of care homes based in the North East of England. Their care services are designed to provide medium to long-term support for those who have learning difficulties, physical disabilities, autism, mental health needs, challenging behaviour, personality disorders and acquired brain injuries.

Environment and quality of care is of paramount importance to the group, who consistently invest in both properties and staff, to enrich the lives of residents.

Staff are trained in a holistic, therapeutic behaviour management programme that focuses on Non Abusive Physical and Psychological Interventions (NAPPI).

This approach to challenging behaviour is accredited by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD), providing a framework for providers to assess, manage and prevent challenging behaviour.

It is the mission of Papillon Care to provide the highest standard of care possible with the promotion of dignity and respect for residents at all times. Communication is also vital, and individual residents and their families are kept informed about key care decisions.

My daughter has recently moved into Sovereign Court. The building is modern and is always clean and tidy ; it is decorated and furnished nicely throughout and has a positive feel about it. The communal rooms have lots of windows and so feel light and airy. The home is small with only 12 residents
and so it feels more personal and homely. The staff and Manager are all very friendly and make you feel welcome when you visit and they seem to genuinely care about the residents. I am allowed to bring my daughter's dogs in to visit her which we all really appreciate. The staff have gone out of their way to welcome my daughter into the home and to make the difficult transition there as smooth as possible. My daughter seems very happy in Sovereign Court and says she feels safe and supported there. Thank you.

My dad has been in this care home for roughly 4 or 5 years now and he is treated so well. Everyone one loves my dad and makes sure he is cared for, included. I could not ask for a better care home or better staff to care for my dad and making his final months special.

Great home. Very individualised person centred care. They have supported me fully with both my physical and mental health and help me integrate into the community by taking me out to appointments and the shops etc. All the staff really care and put a lot of effort in with each resident. Staff joke on
in a caring way and it's a lovely positive atmosphere in the home.

The staff and manager are so friendly and welcoming. My husband is so much happier there, he can be encouraged and guided into doing tasks and doing day-to-day activities. The care of the girls (carers) is amazing.

Lovely, little 12-bed home. Staff are very friendly, not only to residents but to family aswell. Nothing is a bother to them. Any problems are sorted out quite quickly. The atmosphere is always good. They are all very good with the residents
and that's what we need to know, that they're being looked
after. Would highly recommend this home.
