The toilet on ground floor in reception/hall was is quite dirty walls, floor, decor all quite filthy and in bad repair. Toilet bowl is disgusting. Black with limescale. Poor dated decoration. Unhygienic. Unbelievable for cost of staying there. Staff are friendly.

Mum has now been at Norwood House 18 months, she has settled in well and in her words she says she has no complaints. What so ever. All the staff/care workers are kind and very friendly. Anything we have asked for or about has been addressed at once. It's lovely to see that a lot of improvements are going on with the new owners. It's lovely to know that mum is safe and as happy as she can be at this great age.

Staff friendly and kind. Food plenty good selection nice having snacks nearby. Home nice and warm sometime a bit chilly. Clothing nice and clean. Keep me clean as well. Home is always clean and tidy. Can't comment on management as don't see them much. Had a lovely Christmas here with my family. Some carers are more careful with the hoist than others when moving me.

I am very happy at White Gables and joining with all the activities.

Now I cant do things for myself in my own home I like having things done for me. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had such a good welcome when I came here in December 2024 when I could no longer cope at home on my own.

Our family are extremely happy with Norwood House and how my mum is treated. She's been in there a number of years and is so happy. Visiting is always a pleasure and I no longer have to worry about her or her care in any way. Im eternally grateful.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased that she lives at White Gables.

Staff genuinely care about the residents and are polite and friendly. My father is always met with compassion and a caring soothing tones. This relates to bothering the care workers up to senior staff who are happy to rile up their sleeves and support my father when needed. They are always thinking of ways to encourage and support him to engage and join in with activities.

My cousin has been living at White Gables for seven years and she has always been incredibly happy with all the care and support she has received. Recently, her care and health needs have increased and I am very grateful for the excellent professional support that she has been given by all the staff. I have been kept fully informed if the staff feel there are any concerns. I cannot praise White Gables enough for their care of my cousin.

My mother has been at White Gables for over six years. She has always been well cared for and treated with respect and compassion, regardless of which carer attends to her. White Gables have a professional approach to care yet feel like part of the family and treat my mum like the superstar that she is. I've never visited without a friendly chat with staff and hearing stories of her adventures. The home ensures plenty of entertainment and outings if she chooses to join in, but are sensitive to those days that she'd rather be in her room. All in all, the staff are amazing and understand her needs and wishes. We're kept informed of any events that happen along the way, either by phone or email and never feel excluded from any aspect of her care. A huge thank you to White Gables and I'm eternally grateful that I chose the right place for my special Mum.

My mother has been living at White Gables for a year now and my brother and I have nothing but praise for the way in which she has been cared for. She was welcomed by the staff from day one - as were we - and she has been cared for with consideration and kindness ever since. Any queries of mine have been answered promptly and helpfully and have been of great help to assist Mum with her needs. The staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend White Gables highly enough.

Everyone is very helpful and the home is very clean, nothing is too much trouble. The residents are well looked after, the entertainment is excellent and the food is amazing. You couldn't ask for a better place for your loved ones.

As a visitor to Norwood home,I find it very welcoming,the staff are always there to help,a lovely comfortable feel to the place,tea and coffee and snacks though out the day for the residents and visitors, the food is excellent, my relative is happy as he likes to smoke, and there is an area for that,he is treated very well,as I know he can be challenging, they have a hairdresser,a salon where the ladies can get there nails done and entertainment at the weekend, ,the TV room, a lot of different areas to go in,for them,to me it's like a 5 star hotel, nothing is to much trouble for the staff, excellent, I would highly recommend Norwood house,in Saxmundham,for a loved one to live in.

My uncle came here last year from another care home which was closed down for being so bad. Where my uncle in their care received a broken hip, needed replacement, broken fingers, black eye. Since he came here he has had good food and cared for. Staff treating him well and myself & 2 little dogs when we visit him.

He has settled in very well & we were very happy how he looked & reacted to us. This is a lovely home & we are pleased to have him here.

I highly recommend this beautiful home.

We are very lucky that we found Norwood House, it is an ideal setting for Mum, they always have so much going on and the staff are fab. We have never had any concerns and they always keep us updated about whats going on. The level of care and compassion is excellent and all the residents seem happy in their environment.

Overall we are happy with Norwood House and the care our auntie is getting. When we have had concerns these have been dealt with satisfactorily. Our auntie has very advanced dementia so cannot communicate or join in with activities but when we have visited the other residents seem to be enjoying the entertainment

The manager and the team at Norwood House make a comfortable and jolly environment that makes a compfortable place for my friend to live. He is given a good level of independance and ability to participate in the many activities on their weekly and seasonal calander.
