My Dad spent the last one and half years of his life in Holmwood House Nursing home in Swaffham up to when he passed away in August this year at 95 years old. He was well looked after with care and kindness the whole time. We were able to visit whenever we liked and were always met with smiles. His
dementia meant that he would have struggled to continue his life at home but I know that at Holmwood House he was welcomed and included in their community with quizzes, singing and puzzles each week and was safe and happy - and loved the food!

Such a lovely residence, with a super homely feel. The home smells fresh and clean and the freshly cooked meals look delicious. All the staff we have met whilst visiting our friend have been first class, helpful, friendly and so welcoming to all. Lovely admin ladies who are so kind and the nurses are
delightful too.
This is a calm, relaxing, beautiful place, well done to all who work so hard to make it such a lovely home.

We appreciate Mum's advanced dementia is difficult to manage and we remain amazed at the patience and resilience of the staff in managing her and all the Daisy Ward residents. Mum has a lovely room, and we note the persistence of the staff in managing nutritional intake, which is challenging for Mum.
Our visits rarely coincide with activities so we cannot comment on those, but note that auxiliary bills etc. are now arriving regularly now records have been updated.

The home sits in well kept grounds which create an air of tranquillity. The home itself is bright and well maintained, with a good sized lounge which overlooks the garden. My wife's bedroom has a garden view and comes with an en-suite toilet facility. There is a choice of meals throughout the week,
which are of good quality. The staff are very kind and attentive and do a very good job in what at times, are quite difficult circumstances. The staff also do their very best to organise activities to stimulate the residents. The most important thing is that my wife is very happy there and I feel she is in good hands. The overall package is in my opinion good value for money in today's climate.

Quinton House has been my husband's home for 18 months. He has generally been well cared for and his needs met. He has always complained about the food and eats very little of what is offered. He was not in a good physical condition when he arrived there but this has improved due to the care offered.

My mother seems to be very settled in the home, she mentions sometimes that there's nothing going on, but l know that sometimes she needs encouragement to join in with some of the activities. Most days she's happy with her meals although l think the menu is repetitive, so hopefully this might now change.
The staff are very nice and helpful and keep us informed and update us about what's going on. They soon get in touch with the family is having any health problems.

I visited about 2/3 per week, residents are usually asleep or sitting in wet clothes unless they say, nothing is done.
The staff, I wonder, are any of them trained in dementia care? I doubt it. Today, as an example, I told a member of staff the resident's neuralgia was causing him serious pain, bearing
today is Friday, they said they would get him seen next Wednesday when Dr visits when he was at home, they increased his meds and gave morphine orally also.

From the first time of coming into Quinton House Nursing Home I got a feeling of relief, the management and staff were very kind and caring but also very professional and my husband relaxed straight away. They are all very well-trained and treated him with care and dignity. My husband is very happy
there and could not be living in a better place. They have plenty of activities and are kept busy and stimulated and also have a lovely garden to go in. An excellent nursing home. I am so pleased.
