My mother has been at White Gables for over six years. She has always been well cared for and treated with respect and compassion, regardless of which carer attends to her. White Gables have a professional approach to care yet feel like part of the family and treat my mum like the superstar that she is. I've never visited without a friendly chat with staff and hearing stories of her adventures. The home ensures plenty of entertainment and outings if she chooses to join in, but are sensitive to those days that she'd rather be in her room. All in all, the staff are amazing and understand her needs and wishes. We're kept informed of any events that happen along the way, either by phone or email and never feel excluded from any aspect of her care. A huge thank you to White Gables and I'm eternally grateful that I chose the right place for my special Mum.

My mother has been living at White Gables for a year now and my brother and I have nothing but praise for the way in which she has been cared for. She was welcomed by the staff from day one - as were we - and she has been cared for with consideration and kindness ever since. Any queries of mine have been answered promptly and helpfully and have been of great help to assist Mum with her needs. The staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I never have to worry about my mum being safe and cared for at White Gables, she is in excellent hands. If she ever needs medical help staff contact the doctor immediately. The staff are so supportive to us as a family and see to Mum's specific personal needs throughout the day. The carers have gone out of their way to get to know my mum and what her interests are. White Gables is above all a happy place, full of smiles, laughter, kindness and understanding.

2025 marked Mum's 5th year at White Gables, and she remains very happy living there. She is we think the oldest resident now and is much more frail, but we feel she is well cared for by staff who are fond of her. We are regularly told how well we did to find her such a lovely place.

Becky empowers the team by communicating clearly and encouraging innovative practice. She has always taken a particular interest in palliative care and infection control. Becky works collaboratively with external agencies, and she leads the team with her experience, enthusiasm and vigour, has an open-door policy, thus ensuring holistic care for all our residents in a homely atmosphere.

Dawn has worked at White Gables in the catering department for over 4 years. She holds NVQ level 3 in professional catering and level 2 in food hygiene and safety. She is organised and methodical in her approach to her food preparation and reviews the menu regularly with residents. She has introduced a seasonal menu with their input and delights in trying ‘anything new’, gaining feedback afterwards. Dawn meets all new residents to discuss their meal preferences and discuss how best they may be accommodated. She particularly enjoys cake-making and providing buffets on special occasions.
Dawn often travels to London’s West End shows and shares her experiences with residents and staff alike. She is also often heard singing in the kitchen!
