I would not hesitate to recommend White Gables Care Home, a homely home, why wouldn't I when it's been my mums home for over 3 years. They have had a very difficult time during lockdown due to Covid 19 but they have kept all the residents safe and well during that time, thankfully they have had no infections. As relatives, we have been kept up to date with all that's been going on and have kept us in touch with our loved ones via facetime etc when we weren't allowed to visit. It's all down to a kind caring and friendly staff. Thank you!
Fantastic - after a recent hospital day visit with my dad, it was nice to hear him say "they made me a nice cup of tea when I got home!" - says it all - thank you to a great team.
White Gables has provided a very friendly and caring home for my cousin over the last two years. Her health has improved and any medical needs have been addressed promptly. All the staff have been very professional, kind and supportive. She has benefited enormously from the wide range of activities that White Gables has organised for the residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending White Gables to other families considering residential care for their relatives.
Thank you very much for your kind words and lovely review - it is really appreciated.
White Gables has provided a friendly, safe and stimulating place for my mother to live for the past four years. The resident-centred approach to caring is obvious from every member of the staff team. Mum's confidence has grown since living at White Gables and she absolutely loves the variety of the activity programme, as long as there is some singing! She says that she "couldn't live anywhere better". During the Covid crisis, the staff continued to work to very high standards despite their additional responsibilities. Arrangements to visit residents were made as soon as Government guidelines permitted and always with caution and the wellbeing of staff and residents paramount. Moving into residential care was a daunting prospect for Mum and me but we are both so happy with the choice we made and would highly recommend White Gables.
Thank you so much for leaving us such a positive review, with lovely comments from your mum. It really is appreciated.
This care home has navigated through the pandemic with great success - looking after residents and family with care and compassion. Excellent management.
Thank you very much for leaving a review for us at White Gables, it is greatly appreciated.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending White Gables to any prospective resident. On entering the home, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are, without exception, all friendly, approachable and polite and clearly committed to their work in caring for their residents and nothing is too much trouble - very much a reflection on very professional and capable management. My aunt has been very well cared for by the team, has a beautiful room and I know I do not have to worry about her well-being. I have received some great photographs of the residents enjoying their entertainment which is very comforting. The home has provided updates during the Covid crisis to keep me up-to-date during a very difficult period and it is to their great credit that there has been no outbreak of the virus within the home. Well done indeed to all concerned - thank you.
Many thanks for the lovely review you have left - it is much appreciated.
White Gables is a lovely home and I would have no hesitation recommending it. All the staff are kind, loving and caring. They have looked after my dad so well for the last 2 years and nothing is too much trouble for any of them and any issues are always dealt with quickly and efficiently.
A very clean home and helpful, caring friendly staff. Always a bright and cheerful welcome at any time of the day when visiting.
My mother had only been at White Gables for 3 months prior to the Covid lockdown, but we had noticed an immediate improvement to her mental and physical wellbeing within the first month and although it is now 4 months since we saw her, our phone conversations appear to show this improvement has been maintained and she seems very happy with everything at White Gables.
Thank you to all at White Gables.
Mum is very happy at White Gables. She enjoys the food, social life and safety and security. It has become her home. The exceptional service provided to my mother has been demonstrated time and time again but perhaps most noticeably in the way the home has progressed through the Covid-19 pandemic. The home was locked down early, and numerous procedures and precautions were introduced to protect the staff and residents. It is a credit to the home and staff, that the home has remained Covid free throughout. The staff have facilitated video calls to enable us to have regular face to face calls and have supported mum throughout. The home recently managed the return of my mother from a short stay in hospital in a sympathetic and caring way. Isolating her from other residents for 14-days while still providing the care and company she needed.
A wonderful environment for loving care and safety for my mother. A real home from home that enabled her and the family to be relaxed and worry-free.
Once she moved from the top to ground floor room (after a month) she settled well and happily. It is a great relief and comfort to me knowing she is safe and so well cared for. The activities offered are brilliant and relatives are always welcomed. I am so grateful to the staff for providing all my mother's needs so she can enjoy life to the fullest possible.
All the staff, management, carers, cooks, cleaners and handyman show the same level of care and compassion. From our first steps through the front door when looking for a place for mum our immediate feelings were “home from home”. This has not changed. We feel like one of the family and we know we can visit at any time of day or night.
The meals are home cooked and excellent and the staff lay on extra celebrations i.e. birthdays, Mother’s Day, Christmas to which family members are warmly invited.
The activities for the residents are many and varied, some of which are 'in- house' and others are invited in. We help with the resident's choir which we find rewarding to see the evident enjoyment and participation of the residents.
We have no hesitation in recommending White Gables to anyone.
White Gables in Felixstowe is an excellent Residential Care Home, run by a very caring manager and staff, who are always very attentive and kind to patients, making sure they are as comfortable as possible as well as being stimulated and happy. I’ve been visiting a resident regularly for the past 3 1/2 years and find it to be a happy environment.
Fabulous care home with outstanding staff who have delivered an exemplary service for my parents since 2013.
My parents in law came to live at White Gables 5 years ago. They both chose the home and there has never been a day when they or us have regretted it. From day one they were welcomed and allowed to have two separate rooms rather than a shared one, and were able to have their own telephone line fitted to maintain some independence. They have felt safe at all times and the staff are friendly and keep us in touch with any changes. My father in law was able to stay when he was at end of life and he had amazing individualised care. I can not fault anything here. Thank you.
My mother in law has settled in well and is very happy at White Gables Care Home. Staff are friendly and approachable. They spend time with residents, talking, laughing, painting nails quizzes, dancing etc. A lovely atmosphere. There is a wide range of food which is beautifully cooked and smells delicious as you walk in the door. White Gables Care Home has given our family peace of mind knowing mum is in safe and caring hands. As frequent visitors, we always feel welcome.
I cannot praise the staff at this care home enough. They are helpful, friendly and very caring. My mother wakes at different times and the staff will always get her a breakfast whatever the time of day or night. This care home gives me peace of mind. As my mother requires 24 hour care.
The food was of a very high standard and my fathers dietary needs were met with great flexibility, nothing was too much trouble.
Over the eight months that he was there, he celebrated his birthday which the staff made into a very memorable day for us all. His end of life care was extremely compassionate, with finishing touches to make his passing very special to us.
