My auntie is so happy and well cared for in White Gables. Staff are lovely, meals like a hotel and cater for all residents separately if needed, have even seen a glass of white wine going to a resident with their meal. I am notified if anything has happened or she has been seen by the doctor. Entertainment and activities very good also. An excellent home, as a family we are very happy.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and your lovely review! It is greatly appreciated!
They are very caring and compassionate keeping me informed of any changes. The home has a lovely family atmosphere very welcoming and clean. The staff are always friendly and aim to please. They listen to feedback from residents and implement change where possible. The menu is very varied nutritious and delicious!
Thank you so much for leaving us a lovely review! It is much appreciated
Having had a difficult experience with another care home, the resident could hardly be happier than he is at White Gables and this is a great reassurance to me and his other attorneys. White Gables does not have the 'bells and whistles' - nor the price tag! - of a more modern purpose-built care home, but it does have a very caring ethos and the most wonderful staff that one could wish for. On one evening visit (and one can visit at any time of day), the tender care with which the staff led the residents to their rooms almost brought me to tears. The entertainment programme is engaging and varied. The home has a great relationship with the nearby GP surgery and a paramedic visits twice a week. Communications are excellent. I cannot recommend White Gables highly enough and, if they were still alive, it would be my top choice care home in Felixstowe for my own parents.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! It is greatly appreciated.
I was recommended White Gables by a friend. Her mother had been a resident there for eight years. She was very pleased with the care home. The staff are caring and sensitive towards mum's needs. She is settled and well looked after.
The communication has been excellent with regular email updates and monthly newsletters. We are able to visit anytime in the week and the carers are always friendly. There are daily activities for residents to take part in and relatives are invited along.
I would like to thank all the staff for their support and definitely recommend White Gables to those looking for a safe and homely place for their loved ones.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review - much appreciated
Our mother is suffering from the effects of Alzheimer's and had got to the stage where she was unable to look after herself. We were concerned about putting her in a home but realised that she needed specialist care. We needn't have worried. White Gables has been wonderful in every sense, with the staff being particularly caring. Our mother settled in quickly and is very happy there. We cannot recommend White Gables enough.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It is greatly appreciated.
As ever the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive to the needs of my mother and the other residents, many of whom were enjoying a quiz which was great to see. Thank you to the White Gables team.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, it is greatly appreciated.
The staff were all so lovely and caring, not only to Mum but to us, her family, as well. The fact that Mum called the staff her "Angels" shows how fond she was of them and how good they were to her.
I really appreciate the staff at White Gables and everything they did for Mum, they are a fabulous team of people who have caring in their hearts.
I can't recommend White Gables highly enough to anyone who is looking for a care home in Felixstowe for a loved one.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, it is greatly appreciated.
Such a lovely home and welcoming staff who care for my aunt so well. We visited today for my aunt's 102nd birthday! We had tea and a beautiful cake, she had a lovely time. Thank you to all the staff!
Many thanks for taking the time to review us, it is greatly appreciated.
My father has recently moved into White Gables after many years of independent living. He was very concerned about whether he would fit in and I have nothing but praise for how the manager and her team have made him feel welcome. Dad has settled in really well and has really come out of his shell in the time he has been there. I was so worried that he wouldn’t be happy away from his home but he surprises me every time I see him with his optimism and cheerfulness. He is a changed man. I can’t thank the staff enough for the care shown. It is, I think, much harder for men than women to make the move as so many care homes have very few male residents but White Gables really is a home from home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review - much appreciated.
We will never be able to thank the manager and all the staff enough for taking our mum in as a resident in an emergency situation. Since August 2021, Mum has been looked after so very well and has settled in nicely. The entire team are so caring and work so hard to look after their residents. I know that my mum thinks the world of the team who look after her as do we, her family. We certainly chose the right residential care home for Mum and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend White Gables to anyone.
Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely review, much appreciated.
The manager and her team run an extremely professional and friendly operation, nothing is too much trouble, the level of care is excellent and we as a family are regularly kept up to date via bulletins and newsletters.
I have always felt extremely welcome when visiting, the home is well-appointed and the staff are always helpful. The residents are all happy and there's always a full programme of events to keep everyone busy and entertained.
It is a credit to the team that they have kept Covid away from the residents and took the necessary measures needed to ensure the safety of all.
I would not hesitate to recommend White Gables to anyone faced with this tough decision and would like to thank the manager and her team for their professionalism and all they do.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - greatly appreciated.
Aunt seems happy there.
Facilities are good with activities for residents to enjoy if they wish to join in. Covid was managed well, we are kept informed in a timely manner by email and telephone.
Many thanks for taking the time to review us, it is greatly appreciated.
I have to say the care team are so good, they really care and nothing is too much trouble either for us or for Mum.
We got very lucky with this care home at a time that could have been very difficult, but the team made it very easy.
They are attentive to Mum's needs and have already noticed small things very quickly that have saved Mum from being poorly.
I really cannot praise them enough, thank you for giving us the peace of mind that we were desperate to find and the right care for Mum.
Thank you very much for such a lovely review, it is really appreciated.
He suffered from dementia and we could not have asked for him to be in a better place. He was happy for his final year and was very well look after.
The food was all home cooked, rooms very clean and he was always dressed smart and care taken.
He was a proud person and he was treated with respect and great care.
I would highly recommend this home for any families that may be facing a tough decision for the care of their parents.
Thank you very much for your kind review, it is greatly appreciated.
He very quickly settled in his new home in White Gables. He regularly goes downstairs and even stays a little in the lounge. The change in his life is great; he listens to music again, even plays scrabble. He interacts with us and laughs. All of this is a happy first in a very long time.
I cannot thank enough the management and the team of cheerful, understanding carers for the difference they have made to my husband and his family. We only wish we had done this much earlier!
Thank you very much for your review, it is greatly appreciated.
We moved my father with advanced dementia to White Gables after a bad experience in a different home. He was becoming increasingly withdrawn, having multiple falls with worsening mobility, not eating well and complaining of non-specific pains. Within 3 days, and this has been sustained now for a few weeks, he was eating everything in front of him, socialising, leaving his room and no longer complaining of pain. He and my family have been treated with the utmost compassion and kindness. The carers take the time to understand his needs and get to know him properly, listening to us if we have advice. This is so important, especially when dealing with dementia. He is behaving as though White Gables is his home, a big difference from before.
Thank you very much for the kind review you have left us, it is much appreciated.
My mum came to White Gables Care Home for respite as her dementia was causing concern for her safety at home. She has been treated with kindness and compassion by all staff. Communication is excellent from the manager and care staff. Due to Covid restrictions, there is an appointments system in place with lateral flow testing. It all works extremely well. I cannot fault the place.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review - it is very much appreciated.
Our Mum has been very complimentary of all the care and support she has been given and can't rate them highly enough for their kindness at this time. When our father passed all the staff were very supportive and kind, always available and approachable in our time of need.
I am so thankful to the staff and management of White Gables Care Home for the care and love shown to my mum over the past two years. During the last six weeks of her life, she was so wonderfully nursed. This establishment is a family 'home from home' and I would have no hesitation in recommending White Gables Care Home for your loved ones.
My Mum continues to be happy, content and settled at White Gables. In her own words, she says she is being very well looked after and I don’t need to worry about her. This is a huge relief to me and has been particularly over the last 18 months, as I live many miles away. This is thanks to the continued hard work and efforts of everyone in the team. They communicate well with the family and the range of activities has improved over the last few months. I have no hesitation in recommending White Gables.
Thank you very much for your lovely review, it is very much appreciated.
