A big thank you to all of you for all the caring you give Barbara. She's been there 3 years in August. The last year is a more friendly and happier place since the management change. I go and feed Barbara at least 4 days a week, some days I get a smile other's a blank look. Such a shame from a lovely
caring person. Thank you, again.

Mum has been in the Willow Brook Care Home for 11 months. She is happ, very well looked after and eating well. She enjoys a wide range of activities - especially carpet bowls. The staff are lovely and caring and nothing is too much trouble. These are measures in place to keep her safe is no longer having
falls. I am very happy with her care - and so is she!

Mum first went to Willow Brook in March 2025 for a few weeks respite following a few falls. She quickly settled in, really started to enjoy the care, the company of other residents and the activities. She decided to remain in the care home permanently, rather than return to her flat.

Mum was very

happy in Willow Brook. She felt safe and well cared for The staff and management were very good. When mum became ill in summer 2025 the home kept me informed about mum's care and continued to look after her really well.

Thank to everyone at Willow Brook for looking after mum.

My mum has been a resident at Amber Lodge for 7 years. Before her dementia progressed, she loved interacting with staff and taking part in activities. I feel that my mum is very well taken care of, some staff go above and beyond. The new manager is a breath of fresh air. If I ever have any concerns,
the manager deals with them quickly. Overall, I am very happy with the care my mum receives.

My wife has been a resident at Amber Lodge for the last 16 months, being cared for on a one to one basis. Due to her lack of cognition and poor vision, the staff and carers ensure she receives all the needs she requires. She was very active and walked a lot with assistance, but more recently spends
a lot of time in her room, which is far more suitable than the temporary one she moved into for a few weeks. The staff and carers are friendly and competent, and ensure my wife has her meals, of which there is always a decent choice of food.

A palliative nurse advised me to put my wife into a nursing home, as it would be the best thing to do for the health of both of us. My wife has dementia and also very ill. After fourteen months in the in the Alexandra Nursing Home, her health is very much improved. I have found the staff and management
to be very compassionate and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend Alexandra Nursing Home to anyone.

Willowbrok has recently become dual registered as a Nursing and Care Home facility.
My mother has been resident since October 23 and I would say that on the first year her care was good and staff were very caring. Over the last 6-8 months there has been a massive change of staff and a new manager has
taken over. I have had to complain on several occasions about the personal care that has been given to my mother. My mothers nails were not cut/cleaned regularly and her dentures not cleaned and adhesive put in place to secure them. There used to be a nice feeling amongst staff at the beginning but that is not the case now, there is a massive staff turnover and the atmosphere is frosty.
My mother has now had to transfer to the nursing part of the home and within 24 hours a dementia patient has entered her room and slapped her in the face. I have not been contacted by the manager. I have raised a Safeguarding with the Local Authority and contacted CQC.

I would like to compliment all of the staff involved at Willow Brook. Over the last 8 months I have always been made to feel welcome when I have visited. The activities and entertainment shows are exemplary and the chance to visit other care homes for competitions is also very good. I would like to
nominate one person at the home, she very often operates the tea trolley, she is of Turkish origin. She very often goes out of her way to make sure refreshments are good.

My husband went for respite care on Friday the 12th of July and left on the 26th of July, the accounts on his stay did not match with his account of events. When he entered your home his mobility was poor but he could walk a few steps, on leaving he could not walk at all and I was not told about this.
He spent apart from some meal times in his room sitting in a chair. I feel very cross at his stay with you and do not think your value for money.

Dad was at Alexandra for around 3 weeks until his death in early June. Before he even arrived the care home staff were working with staff at the Hospital and the continuing care team to get him there. They were always friendly and accommodating and clearly demonstrated their love, care and compassion
for Dad throughout the time he was at the home. I cannot fault them.
