Willow Brook Care Home

Mum had to go into a care home in an emergency situation when unsafely discharged from hospital. Choosing a residential care home for your mum especially when she has dementia, is one of the hardest, most emotional decisions a family can make. We could not be happier with the care and attention mum receives here.

The home may not be the fanciest or most luxurious, but what it offers is worth so much more, genuine care, kindness, patience, dignity and compassion. The staff are wonderful and work hard to ensure the residents are cared for, supported and treated as individuals. Their patience and the little things they do every day make a difference.

It is the people who make this home special. Knowing that our mum is being looked after by staff who genuinely care means the world to us as a family. You cannot put a price on that peace of mind.

A care home does not have to be posh or glamorous to be exceptional, it needs a heart and this place has that in abundance. Thank you all.

My dad was fast tracked out of hospital to the Willow brook care home, basically for palliative care as he had suffered a severe stroke and had underlying health conditions, he was only there for 8 days but in that short space of time, he got the best care he could have got with the nurses and staff there. Everyone was kind, thoughtful and compassionate and they made it peaceful and calm. Thank you to all the staff there, you're amazing.

Overall a very good experience, all staff friendly & welcoming, lots of interaction with patients. Rooms are basic, very clean with ensuite toilet & basin, shared shower facilities. Communal areas & dining room lovely, gardens are exceptional & very pretty with lots of outdoor seating. Mealtimes well organised and food top quality with a variety of different selections. Meals are encouraged in the dining room but can be taken in your room. Staff updated family members of any changes or problems & kept us well informed, even had a phone call the first evening to reassure me mum had settled. Definitely would recommend this care home to anyone.

I found the management, nursing, care and maintenance staff very efficient, friendly and professional, I am extremely pleased with the care my mum received in these six weeks. Alcjia the manager kept me informed and replied promptly to any queries I had, I highly recommend this care home.

Mum was fast tracked into this care home and was moved in within a day. The staff and facilities were very good and Mum was given the care she needed. Although Mum was only there for 1 week before she passed away she was looked after. I would recommend this care home for anyone who needs help and support.

My grandmother avoided being helped at home at all costs and would support herself for as long as possible. Despite that, when she came under the care of the lovely staff at Willow Brooks, she looked revived and had re-gained some of her life energy. The staff here is very caring and are like a family. I am very grateful for everything they have done for her. I wish them all the best.

There seems to be very good communication between the staff on each patients needs and there is a feeling of community. Can't ask for more, thanks to all the staff and helpers

June needed respite care, and Willow Brook Care Home stepped up. All the staff were very professional but also very caring. The manager was very helpful, making phone calls and helping me fill forms out. Making the whole experience run smoothly.

Since mum moved in here I have noticed how much more she is settled in a stable environment. It takes a lot of concerns away from our family as we know she is well cared for in a safe environment.

Very happy with the care home, they do a lot of activities. The food is good and also tea/coffe at hand when wanted.

The care home is very friendly. They look afer the resdients very well in occasional very difficult situations. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and take care of the resdients very well.The facilites are all reasonably good.

My godmother has been here for around a month now and seems really settled and happy. There is always something going on to stimulate her, certainly a big difference from being on her own just watching TV. The staff are all very friendly. My aunt says she feels well and happy.

Altogether a good, friendly, caring home, with lots of activities for residents, with the ability to take residents outside to a nearby cafe or pub.

Willowbrook is a welcoming home for many. Dad is well looked after and is engaging in the many activities on offer. He is eating well, lovely menu, really happy with the home.

The care my sister is receiving at Willow Brook is all we wished for her. Staff are kind, considerate and friendly. They show valuable information to help us, as relatives, to support our loved ones as residents. All staff from the varying departments within the setting go the 'extra mile', activities planned and entertainment provided are wonderful. A massive thank you.

Willowbrook is a welcoming and friendly care home, which has excellent entertainment/ events put on throughout the year, and compared to some care homes in Nottinghamshire, is good value price wise. It isn't at the luxury end of the market, the rooms being pretty basic and on the smaller side, but the staff are very friendly, helpful and make the effort to get to know their residents and communicate well with relatives with regards to any issues. The food is good and it is generally kept clean, just need to keep on top of maintenance in rooms.

My mum wasn't there too long but Im glad that I choose the Willow Brook as her home for the last few months. Nothing was too much trouble lovely people well recommend 100%.
