Glad my relative is well looked after, overall care is very good. Staff are wonderful and made her 90th Birthday party one to remember. The entertainment that comes in to the home is very good and staff work hard to entertain too.

We took my mother in law out for the weekend to be with her daughter and my Fiance (her son) in her caravan. Everything went so smoothly. the medication was given with a chart to follow. This was so helpful. The staff were all brilliant and Valarie had a wonderful weekend away.

Overall my mother receives good care. If there are any issues these are dealt with. Sometimes communication can be a problem for example phones being answered and access to the building, particularly on a weekend. The activities staff have also played a key role in my mothers care. She is a lot better if her mind is occupied. All other staff are very good too.

Review of Hurstway Care Home from Mike N (Son of Resident) published on 10 December 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

The care and attention provided by the staff at this care home is excellent, which was great comfort to my father, as my mother's dementia had deteriorated to a point where he could no longer care for her at home. She was always treated with dignity and respect, and you could see she was genuinely pleased to see the staff when they entered the room. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to others, as the staff were so helpful and supportive, but also a special mention to the care home manager, Kerry, who was always there to support us throughout my mother's stay.

The home on the whole seems to be run fairly well, however I see staffing issues most times I visit and my relative has had 6 "unwitnessed" falls, resulting in hospital visits. The home looks tired and could benefit from major refit.

Absolutely the best care home in the Midlands. Our Dad received excellent care & made friends with the wonderful staff there. I'm sad we didn't take him there sooner as he was badly neglected in the other 3 homes & 2 hospitals he went to. Valley Court gave him back his pride & dignity. Staff at Valley Court truly care about the patients, nothing is too much to ask! They also looked after us, the family, all through Dads time there & even more so towards the end. A truly wonderful home with truly wonderful staff! Cannot recommend Valley Court enough! Thankyou!!

I am prompted to write as we have reached another milestone with Dad who was 102 in August.

When we arrived in his room on his birthday the balloons and banners were already up.

I know how much people there care about him and this is a real comfort for me and the family when we cannot always visit as often as we would like. My Sister lives abroad and someone will try and FaceTime her every Friday while with Dad, I know this means a lot to her.

Thank you to the whole team at Valley Court who each play their part in his care.

The staff at Valley Court Care Home are exceptional. My mother enjoyed the care she received at the home and, during her illness and unfortunate passing in March 2025, the care and empathy they showed her and us was amazing.
The caring profession is underrated in terms of the work, understanding and efforts that those who work in it bring to their jobs every single day.

The Valley Court team exemplify this and my family and I are so grateful to them for caring for mom.

I would like to thank all the staff at Valley Court for the love and care they have shown to both my parents especially since the passing of my father. The amount of kindness and support given to my mother in dealing with our loss is outstanding . They provided a wake for my father which was beyond what was expected., giving him and us as a family the send off he deserved. To the activity staff, the care and thought that went into making our gathering was beyond words.I want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
I cant thank the staff enough for their kindness for making it their home.
It was difficult initially getting my parents used to a new environment but the staff understood and made it
as painless as possible.

The comfort given to me by the dedication of Beth to ensure my mothers well-being through this trying time has been exceptional.

My nan has been at Valley Court for 2 months now and she likes to refer to being here as being on holiday! She has a new lease of life and it’s nice to know how happy she is here. We don’t have to worry about her and all the staff are amazing! Always going above and beyond, they treat all the residents like family. There is always a story for her to tell when we go to visit her. Couldn’t recommend this care home enough.
