Overall my mother receives good care. If there are any issues these are dealt with. Sometimes communication can be a problem for example phones being answered and access to the building, particularly on a weekend. The activities staff have also played a key role in my mothers care. She is a lot better
if her mind is occupied. All other staff are very good too.
Reply from Kelly Ansell, Manager at Valley CourtThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that your mother is receiving good care and that any issues raised have been addressed promptly. Your recognition of our activities team is especially appreciated - meaningful engagement can make such a positive difference, and we're glad this has supported your mother's wellbeing. We also value your comments regarding communication and weekend access. We understand how important this is for families, and we will continue working to improve in these areas. Thank you as well for your kind words about the wider staff team. Your feedback encourages us to keep providing the best care and support possible.

The care and attention provided by the staff at this care home is excellent, which was great comfort to my father, as my mother's dementia had deteriorated to a point where he could no longer care for her at home. She was always treated with dignity and respect, and you could see she was genuinely pleased
to see the staff when they entered the room. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to others, as the staff were so helpful and supportive, but also a special mention to the care home manager, Kerry, who was always there to support us throughout my mother's stay.

Absolutely the best care home in the Midlands. Our Dad received excellent care & made friends with the wonderful staff there. I'm sad we didn't take him there sooner as he was badly neglected in the other 3 homes & 2 hospitals he went to. Valley Court gave him back his pride & dignity. Staff at Valley
Court truly care about the patients, nothing is too much to ask! They also looked after us, the family, all through Dads time there & even more so towards the end. A truly wonderful home with truly wonderful staff! Cannot recommend Valley Court enough! Thankyou!!

I am prompted to write as we have reached another milestone with Dad who was 102 in August.

When we arrived in his room on his birthday the balloons and banners were already up.

I know how much people there care about him and this is a real comfort for me and the family when we cannot always

visit as often as we would like. My Sister lives abroad and someone will try and FaceTime her every Friday while with Dad, I know this means a lot to her.

Thank you to the whole team at Valley Court who each play their part in his care.

The staff at Valley Court Care Home are exceptional. My mother enjoyed the care she received at the home and, during her illness and unfortunate passing in March 2025, the care and empathy they showed her and us was amazing.
The caring profession is underrated in terms of the work, understanding and
efforts that those who work in it bring to their jobs every single day.
The Valley Court team exemplify this and my family and I are so grateful to them for caring for mom.

I would like to thank all the staff at Valley Court for the love and care they have shown to both my parents especially since the passing of my father. The amount of kindness and support given to my mother in dealing with our loss is outstanding . They provided a wake for my father which was beyond
what was expected., giving him and us as a family the send off he deserved. To the activity staff, the care and thought that went into making our gathering was beyond words.I want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
I cant thank the staff enough for their kindness for making it their home.
It was difficult initially getting my parents used to a new environment but the staff understood and made it
as painless as possible.
The comfort given to me by the dedication of Beth to ensure my mothers well-being through this trying time has been exceptional.

My nan has been at Valley Court for 2 months now and she likes to refer to being here as being on holiday! She has a new lease of life and it’s nice to know how happy she is here. We don’t have to worry about her and all the staff are amazing! Always going above and beyond, they treat all the residents
like family. There is always a story for her to tell when we go to visit her. Couldn’t recommend this care home enough.

My mum was in the care home and the staff did not do a very good job. My mom was not looked after well and it was very difficult to get anyone to help with my mum and it was not a good place to go to.
Reply from Jamie O'Connell, Staff at Valley CourtReally disappointed to read this review as we aim and strive to go the extra mile when caring for loved ones. We have looked back at the records when your mother left us to go to another care home more than 10 months ago and we did everything to accommodate and care for you and family members, from the kitchen staff, carers and activity team. It is hard when large families all have a singular idea of how care is delivered. but we give care based on individual needs and assessments from professionals and deliver this to our best abilities while making it person-centred. We are sorry you felt the need to leave this rating with no explanation for each point rated at 1 star. But rest assured we will continue to audit and check on all areas to make sure we are giving quality service and care.
