My mum was fast tracked and on arrival at Drumconner we were greeted at the door and given a very warm reception. mum was shown around the home and introduced to the staff on duty and encouraged to use all facilities. The service mum has received has been flawless and five star always attentive, showing
compassion and empathy towards her. mum has built up great relationships with the staff and feels very safe and valued. it warms our hearts to see mum building friendships and smiling again. A special thank you to you all for providing a safe loving caring environment for mum.

My brother has been at Drumconner for a year. He has Huntington's Disease. The staff are lovely and treat him with care and respect. He is well looked after and enjoys the activities they have at the home. They understand the complex needs of an HD patient and are always willing to communicate with
family if there are ever any concerns.

Beautiful nursing home with wonderful staff and facilities. Mum moved into Drumconner in February as a palliative care resident, and has been treated with care and dignity in these difficult circumstances. Everyone is so kind to her, and the food is exceptional. She has enjoyed two trips out, and weekly
entertainment, plus Tai Chi!
Drumconner has given us peace of mind, knowing mum is being well looked after by professionals. Thank you for giving her such a happy, caring home in the final stage of her life.

As my son needs a lot of calories to maintain his weight, l feel the portion size could be better. On occasion l have sent it back to the kitchen and asked for more. Also l sometimes do not know what the meat is. The pudding is nearly always the same.

My mother resides at Drumconner for several years now and has settled very well. The staff are exceptional, interacting with the residents in a calm, caring, manner always happy to listen and assist when required and refer any queries if and when needed to nurses or matron.
Their receptionist is
fantastic always greeting with a smile and hello and always happy to assist and keeps families updated via emails regarding activities and events and other relevant matters.
The home has an online care plan which allows us to view how our relative is on a day to day basis.
The kitchen/dining areas are clean and there is a great choice of meals.
The nurses are great at relaying any changes to my mothers health or care needs and act swiftly if any intervention is required.
The home is beautifully kept and clean and staff that maintain the building including laundry service cleaning work hard. The gardens and access to are well kept which is great for taking my mother outside.

My mother was admitted to this amazing Nursing Home from hospital for "End of Life Care" at the beginning of June and passed away peacefully on 5th July. Although it was a relatively short stay the care she recieved was the best anybody could ask for. From the manager , Nursing staff , Care Staff ,
Reception , everyone was amazing. This place is a credit to the Care profession, outstanding . Thank you all.

One of the most remarkable things I've noticed about Drumconner, is the real care factor from the staff and the extra mile the team go. After a serious fall, my nan went from independent living with support from family. To needing full-time care, after a stint in the hospital, she was very frail upon
arrival to Drumconner. One of the most amazing things is that she's gone from being fully bed-bound to being able to get outside and even participate in a few activities. Considering how vigilant and independent my nan is, and struggles to ask for help. It's been lovely seeing her regain some of her mobility near the end of her life, and work with the team there. For the family, it's been wonderful to use the time we were committing to care, and instead, spending quality time making some last few memories.
Our family have been in constant communication with all the team there, as well as being supported as well. It's a beautiful nursing home with clean and excellent facilities/food/activities.

Thank you so much for your review. We're truly touched to hear about the positive impact our team has had on your grandmother's life and are grateful for the opportunity to support both her and your family. It's wonderful to know that she is regaining mobility and enjoying her time with us.

I have found all the staff to be really kind and helpful. They made my mother's first few weeks comfortable and helped her to settle into a new environment, especially after being so independent. They have taken great care with her health issues ensuring she received prompt attention from medical staff.

Drumconner is an excellent care home. The building itself is more like a hotel, and the staff are brilliant. With an excellent entertainment program and great food, it is a proper "home" for the residents. As a relative, we can be as involved as we like, and we are kept fully informed about our loved
ones. The manager, nursing, care and admin staff are all fantastic and committed to continuous improvement. Having experienced other care homes, I am so glad that my step-mother is at Drumconner.

My Mum went into Drumconner from hospital after breaking her hip, and could not return home. This was my Mum's 'Be all and end all', if she had to go into a care home then it had to be Drumconner. From the first steps into the reception, we were greeted in a warm friendly professional way. Extremely
friendly and helpful. On my return with my Brother, we experienced the same welcome. Every member of staff whether it was reception, nursing, or maintenance always greeted you and helped you, even if it wasn't their job area. The new rooms were amazing and Mum was in one overlooking the front and the sea. The rooms are 5*. The amenities they offer are second to none.
We cannot 'wax lyrical' enough on how pleased we were to get our Mum into Drumconner. Thank you to all The Team/Management for their kindness, cheerfulness, and professionalism. We would certainly recommend Drumconner to anyone who is seeking care.

My father moved into Drumconner Bournemouth three years ago. From the onset, he has had exceptional outstanding care! As a former healthcare professional myself, I found it extremely difficult to find somewhere that would meet my father’s needs. He has complex communication issues and needs a lot of
support. Drumconner has been a fantastic place for us as a family and my dad's needs. It has allowed us all to live our lives, knowing he is taken care of in such a wonderful way and the home can communicate with him just as I do. He and I are involved in all aspects of his care. Not only do they support my father, they support me as well which has been a godsend since my mother died. The home is run by a very supportive manager and senior nursing team. The food here is absolutely world-class with local meat coming from the butcher and cheeses coming from the local pantry in the village. Thank you for such wonderful care and service.

The staff at Drumconner are friendly and caring people. Whenever aunty is unwell or they have concerns I am informed and kept up to date. There is plenty for the residents to do to keep them occupied at all times with singers, flower arranging and games to be played. Also shopping trips in small groups.
My aunt is in an electric wheelchair so when we take her out she is dropped off and picked up in their minibus. We wouldn't want her to be anywhere else. The care is superb, the best.

We were lucky enough to have been able to get my father-in-law transferred from another nursing home in a different part of the country to Drumconner for palliative care. We can not thank the general manager and her team enough for all that they did for him during the five weeks he was there. The day
that we arrived with him, the general manager and some of her team all came to say hello to him whilst we sat in the lounge with a cup of tea and cake. They made him feel so welcome and they did everything that they could for him to make his time there as comfortable as possible. During our visits with him we were lucky enough to meet a lot of the staff and I can honestly say that they genuinely love what they do and that comes across when you see the care that they give all of the residents. I know that he was so happy that he was there and so were we. Thank you General Manager and your amazing team, we are eternally grateful to you all for looking after him like you did. You are all truly very special people.

This was Mum's third respite visit. What an amazing investment in the rooms and building. So lovely. The food was, as always, excellent and the staff fantastic. Nice to see the owners on site and a great manager! Great value for money, considering 24/7 care and physio and activities, allowing her to
be more active than usual. Mum is worth it! Anyway, she won’t go anywhere else now!

My husband spent two weeks respite care in Drumconner. He settled happily in the cheerful atmosphere with extremely helpful staff. He had several problems when he arrived and all were dealt with in a professional manner by experienced staff. I visited daily and was always greeted in a friendly manner
and kept informed of the treatment my husband was given, which was a great help to me when he came home after a very pleasant stay at Drumconner.
