My friend was made to feel at home as soon as she entered Drumconner. She was very anxious and confused but was quickly put at ease by the wonderful caring staff. From the reception staff to the nursing staff to the exceptional carers, everything was done to make my friend comfortable and welcome. The care she receives everyday is exceptional and has made her a much happier person. Her room was warm, homely, modern and very clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending Drumconner for exceptional nursing care.

I am incredibly grateful for the care and compassion shown to my brother during his stay at Drumconner. From the very beginning, the staff made both him and our family feel welcome. It was clear that they genuinely care about the wellbeing of their residents, not just physically but emotionally as well.

The nurses and caregivers were attentive, patient, and consistently kind, taking the time to get to know my brother as an individual. They treated him with dignity at all times, which meant a great deal to us. Communication was also excellent-staff kept us informed at all times.

The nursing home was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and his bedroom was light and airy.

Activities were thoughtfully organized, helping residents stay engaged and connected.

Knowing my brother was in such capable and compassionate hands gave our family real peace of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend Drumconner

We cannot recommend Drumconner highly enough if you are looking for somewhere for a member of your family.

We are so happy that our step-mother is being cared for at Drumconner. She considers it her home & the staff are making her time there as good as it can be. The staff are excellent at responding to any issues she has. The management of the care home is also excellent with a drive for continuous improvement & a quick response to any issues raised. We feel fully informed & involved which puts our minds at ease.

My mum was fast tracked and on arrival at Drumconner we were greeted at the door and given a very warm reception. mum was shown around the home and introduced to the staff on duty and encouraged to use all facilities. The service mum has received has been flawless and five star always attentive, showing compassion and empathy towards her. mum has built up great relationships with the staff and feels very safe and valued. it warms our hearts to see mum building friendships and smiling again. A special thank you to you all for providing a safe loving caring environment for mum.

My brother has been at Drumconner for a year. He has Huntington's Disease. The staff are lovely and treat him with care and respect. He is well looked after and enjoys the activities they have at the home. They understand the complex needs of an HD patient and are always willing to communicate with family if there are ever any concerns.

Drumconner has given us peace of mind, knowing mum is being well looked after by professionals. Thank you for giving her such a happy, caring home in the final stage of her life.

The home is beautifully kept and clean and staff that maintain the building including laundry service cleaning work hard. The gardens and access to are well kept which is great for taking my mother outside.

As my son needs a lot of calories to maintain his weight, l feel the portion size could be better. On occasion l have sent it back to the kitchen and asked for more. Also l sometimes do not know what the meat is. The pudding is nearly always the same.

My mother was admitted to this amazing Nursing Home from hospital for "End of Life Care" at the beginning of June and passed away peacefully on 5th July. Although it was a relatively short stay the care she recieved was the best anybody could ask for. From the manager , Nursing staff , Care Staff , Reception , everyone was amazing. This place is a credit to the Care profession, outstanding . Thank you all.

My father moved into Drumconner Bournemouth three years ago. From the onset, he has had exceptional outstanding care! As a former healthcare professional myself, I found it extremely difficult to find somewhere that would meet my father’s needs. He has complex communication issues and needs a lot of support. Drumconner has been a fantastic place for us as a family and my dad's needs. It has allowed us all to live our lives, knowing he is taken care of in such a wonderful way and the home can communicate with him just as I do. He and I are involved in all aspects of his care. Not only do they support my father, they support me as well which has been a godsend since my mother died. The home is run by a very supportive manager and senior nursing team. The food here is absolutely world-class with local meat coming from the butcher and cheeses coming from the local pantry in the village. Thank you for such wonderful care and service.

The staff at Drumconner are friendly and caring people. Whenever aunty is unwell or they have concerns I am informed and kept up to date. There is plenty for the residents to do to keep them occupied at all times with singers, flower arranging and games to be played. Also shopping trips in small groups. My aunt is in an electric wheelchair so when we take her out she is dropped off and picked up in their minibus. We wouldn't want her to be anywhere else. The care is superb, the best.

My son has been there since January and it's the best move he's ever had. The staff are amazing, he is so well looked after and cared for. We feel it's safe for him being there. From management down to domestic staff they are all so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Couldn't recommend this care home enough.

We were lucky enough to have been able to get my father-in-law transferred from another nursing home in a different part of the country to Drumconner for palliative care. We can not thank the general manager and her team enough for all that they did for him during the five weeks he was there. The day that we arrived with him, the general manager and some of her team all came to say hello to him whilst we sat in the lounge with a cup of tea and cake. They made him feel so welcome and they did everything that they could for him to make his time there as comfortable as possible. During our visits with him we were lucky enough to meet a lot of the staff and I can honestly say that they genuinely love what they do and that comes across when you see the care that they give all of the residents. I know that he was so happy that he was there and so were we. Thank you General Manager and your amazing team, we are eternally grateful to you all for looking after him like you did. You are all truly very special people.

My husband spent two weeks respite care in Drumconner. He settled happily in the cheerful atmosphere with extremely helpful staff. He had several problems when he arrived and all were dealt with in a professional manner by experienced staff. I visited daily and was always greeted in a friendly manner and kept informed of the treatment my husband was given, which was a great help to me when he came home after a very pleasant stay at Drumconner.

My grandfather died with dignity in a safe, peaceful and loving environment. My family will be forever grateful to the manager and her wonderful team for their support during his time at Drumconner.

My father moved into this care home in August following the death of my mother. The staff are so very kind and willing to help and please. As a trained nurse myself, I am very conscientious about the levels of care provided and I can honestly say I am very pleased with everything. The home has recently had a new manager, I can say first hand both old and new were brilliant and very supportive to us and in particular my father. My father has complex communication needs, the staff engage with him and he feels very comfortable getting his point across. My father absolutely loves the food and he is very fond of the staff as am I. I feel very involved in my father’s care and I can certainly say his care is centred around his needs and wishes. We had a break in the activity and entertainment schedule but I’m glad to say this is back on full track now. The manager seems to have everything in control. Thank you.

My husband looked good, is happy at Drumconner and I feel calm and reassured not having been able to see my husband for a year. Does not have the look and feel of an 'institution'.

The staff at Drumconner have provided the very highest quality of care for my friend over the past three and a half years. During the last year, which must have been the toughest ever on staff due to the pressures of the pandemic, the dedication and kindness of the time staff members has continued to be truly outstanding. Every member of staff I have met, whatever their role, has been helpful, friendly, kind and caring, not only to the residents but to visitors as well. In fact, everyone is made to feel valued and very welcome. My friend has been extremely happy at Drumconner and for his friends and family members having him in a welcoming, friendly, and safe environment with superb care has been very reassuring indeed. I can most definitely say that my friends, and my own experience, at Drumconner has been extremely positive and outstanding.
