My Mum has been a resident for 3 and a half years. It was such a wrench leaving her own flat but the staff here have been wonderful..all so welcoming, kind and caring. I've never met so many lovely people in one place!
My Mum is very happy here and looks upon 'Jordanhill' as her home. Nothing is too much bother for staff.. and all done with a smile. They have continued to help foster my Mum's great sense of humour and fun and her zest for life! She will be 103 in September, and is not as spry as she was, but staff encourage and help her to take part in various daily activities with the terrific Activity Co-ordinators.
There are frequent entertainment events and visits from ponies, alpacas etc .
My family are regular visitors and are all made so welcome too. Recently my Mum and I had fun together painting Scotland World Cup flags and a sing song,

My Brother and I thank our lucky stars that we found Jordanhill Care Home for our Mum and highly recommend this superb establishment.

Jordanhill House is a brilliant carehome where we can visit anytime knowing our family member is being cared for, entertained and is safe. The staff are all fantastic and offer different skillsets to all residents, to meet their needs and wants. There is a great, varied activity programme and entertainment to keep everyone's minds active and bodys exercised and pampered. Family nights with singers and nibbles go down well as well - as visits from animals from ponies, alpacas, reptiles and therapy dogs are fab. But most of all the peace of mind is paramount :)

Overall Experience
As the son of a former resident, I am sharing my family's experience of Foxley House. Following the management change in 2024, we felt there was a significant decline in the quality of care and communication.
The responses from management to family reviews reflect many of the same concerns we experienced. Rather than feeling listened to and supported, we were often left feeling that legitimate concerns were dismissed and defensive.
My siblings were present far more frequently than I was and witnessed these issues firsthand. The stress, worry and emotional burden placed on our family during an already difficult period was immense.
Communication was often poor, individual needs did not always appear to be prioritised, and staff frequently seemed overstretched. Witnessing what we perceived as a lack of proactive support for our mother was deeply upsetting.

Ultimately, our family was left disappointed and feeling let down by a service we had trusted with our mother's care.

We were surprised to read this review, as it doesn't reflect the positive relationship we enjoyed with your family throughout your mother's four years at the home. During this time, family members visited regularly and frequently expressed...

Jordanhill Care Home has proven to be a blessing for my Mother in Law. She has lived here for the past three years and the care and attention she receives is exemplary. Sadly I did not have this experience when my mother was in a care home so I am delighted that Jean managed to come and live in this warm and friendly home with highly trained efficient and compassionate staff who strive to keep residents as bright and alert as they can be.

The activities and entertainment go far beyond what I would have expected from a Care Home. Well done

Review of Foxley House from R M (Sister of Resident) published on 12 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

In my opinion, the experience my family had at Foxley House was deeply disappointing. I visited regularly and, from my perspective, the quality and consistency of care appeared to decline over time.

The majority of staff I encountered were kind and worked hard, often seeming under considerable pressure. However, there were occasions when things appeared to be missed and concerns did not seem to be addressed as effectively as we would have hoped.

Watching my niece and nephews navigate this was extremely upsetting. What should have been a time focused on their mother's wellbeing often became a source of stress, worry and frustration.

I often felt communication could have been better, and responses to concerns sometimes came across as defensive rather than reassuring.

Having since seen the care and support she receives elsewhere, the contrast is, in my opinion, remarkable. It has reinforced my belief that she and her family deserve much better.

Review of Foxley House from K T (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 5 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My grandparents received excellent care during their many years at Foxley. The staff showed compassion, patience and kindness, not only towards my grandparents but also towards our family. It was always reassuring to know they were being looked after by people who cared deeply about the wellbeing and happiness of residents. Carers took the time to get to know them personally and treated them with dignity and respect. Foxley consistently went above and beyond for my grandparents. One example was when they organised an anniversary celebration for my grandparents, which they put a lot of thought and effort into. What meant even more to us was that many members of staff came in on their evening off simply because they wanted to celebrate my grandparents. That level of kindness and dedication spoke volumes about the character of the staff. They created an environment where my grandparents felt safe, cared for and respected, with my grandad regularly saying he "couldn't fault" Foxley House.

Review of Foxley House from Ciaran T (Grandson of Resident) published on 1 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Gran and Grandad moved into the home in 2022. They were recently forced to relocate to another care home due to a deterioration in my Gran's health, along with ongoing harassment and complaints from an estranged family member.
From day one, the care they received was exemplary. The staff consistently went above and beyond for both of them, including organising a wonderful celebration for their diamond wedding anniversary, which truly reflects the level of care and thoughtfulness provided.
Since they moved, it has become very clear that not all care homes offer the same personal touch, and it is something we miss every day.

I cannot thank the staff enough for how at home they made me and my family feel. This is best reflected in how upset my Grandad was when he had to leave-the majority of the staff were even in tears on their last day together.

Both my parents were residents at Foxley house for a number of years. The staff and care they received were excellent. It was a very sad day when my parents had to leave .

I always found the staff curtious , helpful, obliging and it was a lovely environment for what I hoped my parents to see out their remaining time .

Review of Foxley House from N M (Friend of Resident) published on 15 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

As the partner of the residents' granddaughter, I visited regularly over an 18-month period of their 4+ year stay. My involvement as an extended family member, looking out for loved ones, bears no relation to whether someone holds POA. During this time, the service often felt disorganised and on the back foot, with communication inconsistent and reactive rather than proactive.

There were repeated issues that should not have occurred, such as having to ask multiple times for basic items like glasses, and being left to organise their room ourselves after a poorly handled room change. These were not isolated incidents but part of a wider pattern that caused ongoing frustration.

While some staff showed kindness, the overall experience lacked consistency, coordination, and attention to detail. In our experience, the service did not meet the standards of dignity, organisation, and care that families should reasonably expect.

We must clarify that the reviewer was not a family member or authorised representative directly involved in the residents' care, and we have no record of them as a visitor to the home.

Throughout the residents' stay, we worked closely with their family and legal representatives, who consistently...
