Jordanhill Care Home has proven to be a blessing for my Mother in Law. She has lived here for the past three years and the care and attention she receives is exemplary. Sadly I did not have this experience when my mother was in a care home so I am delighted that Jean managed to come and live in this
warm and friendly home with highly trained efficient and compassionate staff who strive to keep residents as bright and alert as they can be.
The activities and entertainment go far beyond what I would have expected from a Care Home. Well done

Mum has been very happy, the staff are so caring. That's not always easy because mum can be quite strong willed. We moved mum here from another nearly home because we could feel that the care here was more personal. Staff are good fun and nothing is too much trouble. The staff have been the same all
the time mum has been here and that consistency means they get to know her better. Highly recommend.

Having to choose a care home for a loved one is incredibly difficult, daunting, and emotional process. When I first visited Jordanhill House, I was immediately impressed by the compassion and understanding shown by everyone there. The atmosphere was friendly and caring - it didn't feel like a care
environment; it felt warm, homely and welcoming.
My mum has been a resident since October 2025 and each time I visit, I continue to be blown away not only by the professionalism of the staff but by how genuinely pleasant and caring everyone is. They truly can't do enough for my mum and are a fantastic source of support to us as a family.
The Activities Coordinators also deserve a special mention- they are enthusiastic and engaging bringing so much positivity to the residents daily lives.
This journey isn't an easy one but every single member of the team plays a part in ensuring my mum and all the residents are safe, well cared for and happy. We honestly couldn't ask for anything more.

My aunt was only here for 2 months but the care was excellent and she was treated with kindness. We as a family appreciated everything that the staff did for her, especially in her last few weeks. It gave us great comfort knowing she was being well cared for when we weren't there. Thank you to all staff.

I cannot speak highly enough of Jordanhill. From day one the team have been fantastic. Communication is outstanding, especially as I am remote in NZ. They are always available to talk, provide updates and answering any questions. Knowing my mum is supported and surrounded by a dedicated team provides
me with peace of mind. Thank you.

The staff are kind and considerate. Food and snacks are plentiful and of a great standard. The kitchen staff - cooks and helpers very accommodating when asked if the menu was not suitable. Domestic cleaners are part of the team who, when asked about their normal duties, are very accommodating. Themed
dates, Burns suppers, Halloween are great.

We couldn't have found a better care home for my 104-year-old mother. The care staff, domestic staff, maintenance staff and kitchen staff are all focused on the needs and happiness of the elderly residents. The management are always available to list and resolve any anxieties or issues troubling residents
and relatives. The home is clean, warm and comfortable. The activities coordinator is there on a daily basis encouraging residents to reach their potential physically and mentally. Special occasions, celebrations are excellent.

My mother has now been at Jordanhill for two years and has been settled and happy. She feels safe and I feel she is well cared for and looked after. The staff team are professional, caring, friendly, and approachable and are genuinely interested in getting to know the residents and to understand their
needs. I have nothing but praise for their good work in caring for my mother. The home has a very 'homely' feel and is always clean and the food is good. The management team should be complimented for employing a full-time activities coordinator. This provides a range of stimulating group activities and one-to-one interaction where needed.
I looked at a number of residential homes before choosing Jordanhill and have no regrets that I made the right choice.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.935)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.935) out of 10 for Jordanhill House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.935 for Jordanhill House is calculated as follows: ( (231 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 245 Ratings = 4.935
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Jordanhill House is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
