Since the time my Mum became a resident of Jordanhill Care Home I have had nothing but praise for the level of care presented to her. The staff are very friendly and approachable and they create such a welcoming, homely atmosphere at all times. I cannot praise the team highly enough and can rest easy
at night knowing that my Mum is safe and in excellent hands. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jordanhill House.

My mum continues to be cared for with patience, compassion, and humour. The care home is always immaculately clean as are the residents and the clothes they wear. The food is prepared on-site to a very high standard and the residents enjoy regular drinks and fruit and biscuit snacks. There is a long-term
continuity of staff which is positive in any establishment and very reassuring for all. I consider the care given at Jordanhill House to be five-star - all the needs of the residents are fully met.

My mother has been a resident for approx 20 months. During that time she has been very well looked after. She has made it clear that she feels safe and that if she needs help then she can ask for it and the staff "will do anything for me".
My wife and I looked at a number of residential homes before
choosing Jordanhill House. We are certain that we made the right choice and have never regretted it. The excellent standard of care means that we, as a family, have fewer worries knowing that Mum (gran and nan) is being well looked after. All members of staff have been excellent.

From the day my grandad went into respite care at Jordanhill House the staff and manager, couldn't have done more for him. My grandad really liked Jordanhill and couldn't wait to get back there when he was admitted to hospital. He lived at Jordanhill for nearly 4 months, before he sadly passed from
cancer. They provided amazing care and support to him and were excellent at keeping us updated on any and all developments. The staff provided excellent care at a time when he needed it the most. The facility is the best I've seen with a choice of large communal areas and a lovely dining room. My grandad loved singing and they had a well know local singer perform at the care home. He very much enjoyed this and joined in. They really do care about the individual's social needs as well as their medical requirements. I can't thank the staff at Jordanhill enough for taking care of my grandad.

Received so much care and support in making the difficult decision for my partner to go into care.
That continued with such a caring, professional and personal welcome when she arrived, which helped to put our minds at rest.
She is now very settled, and I am delighted with the care she receives.
There always seems to be such a happy, cheery and positive atmosphere within the home.
I cannot thank the staff and management enough; they are terrific.
They spend time with her and chat with her, and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
I feel she is in safe hands, being cared for by professional, compassionate, caring, polite and friendly staff.
Thank you.

My aunt is in Jorganhill and is very settled. I am so glad to see some of the Covid restrictions being lifted. The staff are tremendous with my aunt, no matter how busy; they always have time to chat and treasure her. The home is looking great now, as getting lots of work done. Overall, I am impressed
and recommend it to everyone.

Haven't been able to visit and am now back. I have been hugely impressed by this care home and the staff for a number of years. During Covid, they were vigilant in their testing and did not have any cases, which was a miracle. I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention my friend receives.
Thank you.

The home offers a 'home from home' experience. They treat each resident like family, catering to the individual's needs. Some residents have quite complex needs, but this is no problem to the staff who appear well equipped to deal with all aspects of residents dependencies. My experience of the home
is that I am always welcomed. My friend who has been a resident for six months is very happy, she tells me she feels safe and well looked after. Nothing is a bother to the staff.

The Jordanhill Care Home in Glasgow has an excellent, leafy location in Glasgow with good care parking and bus routes. There is also a station 400 meters away. The interior is well laid out with various lounges and a superb outside area and has a lovely, homely feel. Main meals and snacks are plentiful
and of a high standard. However, it is with care and attention where Jordanhill truly excels. The staff, and that's all the staff, are magnificently trained, witnessing this first-hand many times, professional to a fault, and have the most important factor - love. This can't be bought in any expensive shop or studied for at University, it comes from within, and as The Beatles wrote, 'Can't Buy Me Love'.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.935)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.935) out of 10 for Jordanhill House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.935 for Jordanhill House is calculated as follows: ( (231 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 245 Ratings = 4.935
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Jordanhill House is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
