My Mum has been welcomed into Jordanhill House by management, staff and others who are residents here. Carers, who are so professional, treat Mum with such kindness and love and care. Every member of staff, including laundry, kitchen and housekeeping take time to make themselves known. What a blessing
knowing my Mum is in safe and kind hands. Love Jordanhill House, the manager is doing an amazing job!

I have been extremely impressed with the service offered to my sister since her admission in September of last year. The staff are friendly, informative and vigilant with all aspects of the care given to their residents. They ensure a fun and vibrant atmosphere and all residents are catered for. The
annual Christmas party was held in December and the staff had commented that it was not to be missed as it was a great occasion and the highlight of the year. I have to say they did not disappoint and both myself and my sister had a fantastic night. Everyone laughed and danced surrounded by their friends and family.

My dad has been a resident in Jordanhill House from September 2019. My dad has settled in really well, he enjoys the food and gets on really well with residents but in particular the staff he enjoys having daily chats with. This is a very homely residential home, which you're always made to feel welcome
by both staff and residents. The care is fantastic and I go home after visiting my dad knowing that he is been very well cared for and looked after.

I know my mum is safe and looked after and it's lovely to see how well some of the staff know my mum. They know what she likes and tailor their approach to her likes and dislikes. From making sure her music is on, her favourite tipple and even singing with her. I think the theme nights are marvellous
and the staff participation incredible.

Despite having said in the past that he would "never go into a care home" my father age 95 settled in immediately and was very happy there. Furthermore, we, the family were reassured that he was very well cared for 24/7

We have been extremely happy with our relative's care in Jordanhill. The staff in general are extremely helpful and caring. As our relative has a dietary problem the chef takes care of this. We provide gluten-free products to ensure his requirements are met. In general, the care is very consistent.

Jordanhill House is run and staffed by people who care. It is a joy for us as a family to see our loved ones so happy and content. It took us a while to find the right care home for my aunt and uncle but Jordanhill House ticked all the boxes and we would definitely recommend the care home to other families
looking for fantastic care for their family members.

She continues to thrive and I have often been impressed by the home's understanding and empathy.

I am very very happy that we came across Jordanhill House last summer for my mother. The staff are always very cheery and helpful and everyone from the manager right down never seem rushed! You can see they are always busy, but they just keep a relaxed atmosphere where nothing is too much effort.

The

few things I have rated as less than excellent are really no criticism.

My mother has a fantastic room which is just ideal for her, but I have to say that the smaller en-suite ones in the back are - to my mind - pretty compact.

As regards cleanliness, my review is somewhere between Good and Excellent. I think some toilets are maybe a little more popular than others!

Finally, value-for-money. I am amazed at the quality of the whole experience, so you get what you pay for. But - boy! - it certainly adds up at the end of the year. Things are OK for my mum since she has a good pension after 40+ years working full-time in the NHS. But who's going to pay for me when it is my turn?

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.935)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.935) out of 10 for Jordanhill House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.935 for Jordanhill House is calculated as follows: ( (231 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 245 Ratings = 4.935
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Jordanhill House is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
