We cannot thank this care home enough for the exceptional care provided to our mother, Lily, over the past two years-how quickly that time has passed. From the very beginning, it has been clear that Angie and Tina run a truly outstanding home: professional, well-organised, and full of warmth. They run
a tight ship, and it shows in every aspect of the service.
The staff are simply wonderful. They treat residents with genuine kindness, dignity, and respect, and over time they have come to feel like an extended family to us. Knowing Lily has been safe, happy, and so well cared for has been an enormous comfort, particularly during some very difficult periods for our family.
Every member of the team demonstrates dedication, compassion, and professionalism, creating a supportive and nurturing environment that truly stands out.
Thank you
Reply from Yvonne Quigley, Customer Relations Manager at The Cambridgeshire Care HomeThank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. It really does mean a great deal to us all to know how you have valued Lily's time with us. We are delighted to know that you felt confident, supported, and reassured about the care your mother received. Angie, Tina, and the entire team work very hard to create a warm, well-organised, and nurturing environment, so your feedback is especially meaningful.
Hearing that Lily felt safe, happy, and respected, and that our team came to feel like extended family, is exactly what we strive for.
It has been a privilege to care for Lily over the past two years, and we are grateful that you trusted us during what you describe as a very difficult time for your family. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and for your heartfelt appreciation-it will be shared with the whole team.

When it comes to choosing care for a loved one, there isn't a single approach that suits everyone. It's a very personal decision, shaped by visits, conversations with staff, and the experiences of others. While everyone's expectations are different, what matters most is finding a place where you feel
comfortable, supported, and confident that your loved one will be treated with kindness and respect. My mother was quite unwell when she moved into Park View two years ago, but she was warmly welcomed from the very beginning. We quickly felt reassured by the carers, and they have consistently lived up to that trust. With the right support, Mum's health has become more stable. She is always clean, well cared for, enjoys a varied menu, and receives her important medication on time. If there are any questions or concerns, Carol and her team are immediately receptive to answer them. Caring is one of the most challenging professions, but it's also such an important and necessary service.
Reply from Sharon Bowen, Customer Relations at Park View Care HomeThat's a really thoughtful and reassuring perspective. It's clear how much the care and compassion of the team have meant to both you and your mum. Hearing how her health has stabilised and how supported you feel speaks volumes about the dedication of the staff-thank you for sharing such a meaningful experience.

I can't thank the team at Park View Care Home enough for the outstanding care they've given my mum over the past year. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely compassionate, always treating her with dignity and respect.

It's so reassuring to know she's in a safe and welcoming environment. The

carers go above and beyond, and she's always encouraged to take part in activities, which keeps her happy and engaged. The activity organisers truly go above and beyond, creating meaningful experiences. It's especially important for those with dementia to be stimulated, and I've been impressed that activities here are always inclusive-something I haven't seen in other homes.

The food is outstanding, with a great variety of well-prepared meals.

Communication with the family is excellent, and the home is always clean and comfortable.

I highly recommend Park View Care Home-it gives us real peace of mind.

My mother in law stayed for three weeks but was due to stay five weeks for respite while my father in law had major surgery, he is her full time carer. She became very unresponsive and so the family removed her and she went into hospital with health issues due to acute dehydration, she had suffered
a heart attack too, when released from hospital end of life care was put in place. Sue suffers dementia and is completely dependent and non verbal! Had park view communicated with the family or doctor this could have been a very different story.
Reply from Carol Rhind, Manager at Park View Care HomeWhile we cannot discuss individual care details publicly, the wellbeing and safety of our residents is always our priority. We do not recognise some of the claims made in this review, and no concerns were raised with the home during your mother-in-law's stay. A request for a refund was considered in line with our terms and was declined accordingly.
We understand how difficult these circumstances can be for families and extend our sympathies during this time.

My mother has been a resident for nearly two years, and has a wonderfully comfortable room overlooking the garden. The staff are attentive, and treat her with care and dignity. The close relationship with the local medical centre was one of the attractions for our family, and the local GP has been a
regular visitor, ensuring our mother's good health. Social activities and stimulating events keep Mum healthy.

The two essential attributes of a good care home are -
1. efficient organisation and 2. well-trained, kind, decent, human carers.
The Cambridgeshire Care Home is first-class under both heads. The building has feel superb, well-designed both in and out and in detail. The daily operations unfold unfailingly
smoothly. The carers, medical and non-medical are without exception, delightful - consistently patient and gracious in their interaction with residents. I would unhesitatingly recommend this care home.

Staff at Park View are all welcoming, caring, loving and friendly, going out of their way to help. Even if it's not their job, they will find someone else who can help. The home is always clean, warm, with food and drink available. I'm always reassured that staff never neglect the vital aspects of care

I attended the dementia awareness workshop in November 2025 taken by Chris Elsley. The information was invaluable and I learnt so much in a short period that will help me navigate issues with dementia and how to relate and communicate with dementia sufferers. Although my elderly mother who is resident
at the home does not suffer from dementia my (much younger) husband has recently been diagnosed with early on set alzheimers and I have really struggled. Meeting other loved ones at the workshop was also very inspiring and made me feel much less alone, and we had a very good laugh and lovely cakes.
Thank you to Chris and all the wonderful nursing staff, admin staff and caterers and cleaners at CCH and to Yvonne for organising.

After looking after my husband at home for over 20 years from an awful debilitating disease I vowed never to use a care home for him. However this decision was taken away from me due to his and mine deteriorating health. I also have experience working in a care home . Because of looking after him for
so long I have very, very high standards regarding my husbands care and was determined not to let his care lapse in any way on admission to Park View. He has very complex needs which I demand are met to a very high standard. Overall Park View has met these standards. There has been issues with my husband's care but with communication with the management and staff and time these have been generally resolved . My experience is any problems have to be sorted face to face and that is the key for harmony between care providers and clients. Overall Management and staff are very approachable with any issues I have.
Reply from Sharon Bowen, Customer Relations at Park View Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your experience and for trusting us with your husband's care. We understand how difficult the decision must have been after more than 20 years of looking after him at home, and we truly appreciate the depth of your dedication and the very high standards you rightly expect.
We are pleased to hear that, overall, Park View has met those standards and that your husband's complex needs are being supported to your satisfaction. We also appreciate your honesty in highlighting the issues that have arisen along the way. Your willingness to work with us, especially through face-to-face communication, has been invaluable in helping us resolve concerns and continue improving the quality of care.

When first admitted to care home it took a few months for the home to gain understanding of my husband's specialist needs because he lacks capacity and is unable to let staff know what he requires. He cannot hold a vessel to drink himself and needs feeding so it needs regular and experienced staff who
understand this to ensure he does not dehydrate and lose weight. He also needs good help to position in his chair and bed correctly and ensure he is kept clean. I speak to staff directly and ask for things to be corrected if not ok and most regulars know his requirements. On the nursing and general health side, records do not seem to be understood and known by all parties, ie hospital/GP/nursing and other agencies.

Although my mother is now bedbound the staff continue to be their caring and gentle selves. They try to involve her in some of the activities for example bringing up various animals for her to stroke (an especial pleasure for mum) and celebrating her birthday with a special cake as well as organising
for the hairdresser to come to her room to cut her hair and the podiatrist for her nails.
They helped make the move from one room to another a seamless process and mum loves the view of trees and birds from the window of her new room.
The regular reviews of mum's care plan keep us up to date and the Heads of Care always respond quickly to our requests. Michele on reception is always welcoming and makes us feel at home immediately - and knows my requirement for a delicious coffee and cake available from the bistro on arrival.
We are very happy with mum's overall standard of care and stand in awe of the dedication of all the staff.
