  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 11 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for The Cambridgeshire Care Home in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.917 for The Cambridgeshire Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (121 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 132 Ratings = 4.917

If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

The 4.764 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Cambridgeshire Care Home is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

My father passed away last night after spending the last 6 months at the Cambridgeshire Care Home. I cannot praise the home and staff highly enough. He loved staying there and made great friends with both staff and residents.
His room was extremely well furnished and comfortable with a great view over the beautiful gardens. The facilities were excellent with a high standard of food which he thoroughly enjoyed and a wide range of activities on offer.
The staff were extremely caring, professional and friendly and took time to talk to him on a regular basis. They also went out of their way to make our family feel welcome whenever we visited and were very sensitive to the situation when he passed away. Having visited many care homes before choosing this one I can honestly say it is exceptional and would recommend it to anyone who needs a caring environment for themselves or loved ones. Many thanks to all the staff for making my fathers last few months so enjoyable.

Thank you for your lovely review David. Your father was a very special man and we were privileged to have been able to look after him - we are all so sad it was for such a short time. As I said to you a few days ago, everyone loved him - he had such a kind and gentle way about him and I can understand why staff continued to seek advice and residents to discuss their ailments with him as he instilled confidence with his 'old school' GP demeanour. He will be greatly missed and myself and the team send our condolences and best wishes to all the family

This home is special, nursing was needed after a stay in hospital. Have chronic back pain plus osteoarthritis, I am unable to walk unassisted. All the staff are considerate, willing to help in any way they can. I have been treated with care and respect talking through any problems. I have seen the home manager who is a qualified nurse and encouraged to raise any problems. The care staff some are quite young but well trained. Visitors can visit the bistro, have a drink with cake or a biscuit or fruit. Several of their friends now from hospitality, nursing care. Thank you to all.

Thank you so much Win for taking the time to complete a review for us - it means a lot.

I recently needed to find a really good care home which supplied respite for my 91-year-old Mum who also had some palliative care needs such as very regular pain relief and other medication. Having spent many years working as a community-based nurse, I was always going to be really fussy in looking for the best patient care, staff who treated residents with absolute respect and kindness as well as an environment where my Mum felt comfortable and happy. I was so delighted with the attention to detail offered within the home. Excellent nursing care and a group of staff who all appear to truly enjoy what they do and genuinely care about the residents. Mum came home after a week saying how lovely everyone had been to her during the stay and I feel very confident about using the home again.

Thank you Judy for your lovely review - we look forward to seeing your mum again soon.

Due to my poor mobility, I can't make use of all the facilities on offer. Visitors are always greeted immediately with a cup of tea and made to feel welcome.

My mother entered Cambridgeshire Care Home as one of its first residents in December 2016. Mentally alert but frail, despite not being from the Cambridge area, she has settled happily, thanks to the exceptionally kind staff and the strikingly good facilities.
She loves walking in the garden and when we visit her she frequently takes us to tea in the Bistro. We have used the small private dining room for a family lunch; very good food and in a setting where she felt secure.
Management and staff are responsive when we have any minor concerns about her. She is treated with the right mixture of dignity, respect and good humour. We feel pleased and relieved that she is very much in a good place for her needs in her final phase of life.

The Cambridgeshire Care Home offers an excellent level of care and facilities for its residents. The rooms are of a high standard and the menus are both varied and nutritious. The staff are helpful and caring and responsive to the requests of residents and family. It is a bonus that hairdressing, beautician, chiropody and optician services are all available in addition. As a family, we feel very lucky that a home of such standards is close enough for us to visit very regularly and gives peace of mind regarding the care that is delivered.

Dad came here for a week's respite care, his first stay in a care home, and was naturally quite nervous. He left today, relaxed and happy and looking forward to his next visit. My mum was able to get the rest she needed from being his primary carer, and we all had peace of mind of knowing that he was being extremely well-cared for. Everything about the care home is excellent and it is a lovely environment to live in and to visit. The staff are attentive, caring and respectful, with a good sense of humour and a reassuring calmness and Dad could not have been in better hands. The facilities are great, the gardens are beautiful and the food outstanding. All the family were made welcome whenever we visited. I just hope that after all the excellent reviews there will be a place for Dad next time he wants to come!!

My mother was the first resident and is extremely happy.

My mother has stayed in two other care homes in Cambridge, one of which closed and the other was unsuitable. I visited no less than 18 other care homes in the vicinity before finding The Cambridgeshire Care Home.

In my experience, my consistent rating of "Excellent" for The Cambridgeshire Care Home is well deserved.

I recommend The Cambridgeshire Care Home without reservation.

The Cambridgeshire Care Home has only just opened, and both my parents moved in 2 weeks ago. The home is beautifully furnished very well designed and a pleasure to spend time in. The food is excellent we had our Christmas dinner there with mum and dad. Mum is already eating much more than before she said the food tastes nice. Most importantly the care is excellent very personal residents are given time and understanding with a sense of humour essential for my parents. It is early days with few residents so far but I hope everything remains the same.
