I am proud to say I commissioned The Cambridgeshire Care Home in 2016 and was the manager until 2019, having worked at First Care Homes since 2011. I returned in 2022.

I have worked in the social care sector as a registered manager in a home and regional capacity for over 25 years since leaving the NHS, where I was a ward sister.

I am a Registered Nurse and have a Degree in Gerontological Nursing, the Registered Managers Award and also Level 5 in management and leadership.

I love this home and want the staff to feel the same, as this then impacts our residents' experience and helps them feel at home right from day one Read less

I am proud to be the Acting Home Manager at The Cambridgeshire Care Home. I have worked within care in the UK for over 10 years, and caring for others has always been more than a profession to me – it is my passion and part of who I am.

I joined The Cambridgeshire Care Home as Deputy Manager in 2021 and was promoted to Care and Compliance Manager before stepping into the role of Acting Home Manager in 2026.

I hold a master’s degree in Palliative and End of Life Care and have a particular passion for person-centred care, dementia care, and supporting residents with complex and end-of-life needs.

The care and compassion I have are something I bring with me from the moment I step through the doors each day. My values closely reflect those of First Care Homes – putting people first, promoting dignity and respect, supporting our teams, and ensuring kindness remains at the heart of everything we do.

I feel incredibly proud to support our residents, families, and team in creating a warm environment that truly feels like home.

I am an experienced Registered Nurse with over 14 years of experience in both private and public healthcare environments. I have a Bachelor’s in psychology and a Master’s degree in Palliative Care strategies and management.

Following my move to the UK in 2016, I achieved my NVQ level 5 certification. I found my true passion in caring for others, especially elderly Residents and Patients, and I am very grateful to have found the perfect environment to practice this at The Cambridgeshire Care Home. Read less

I ran my own business after leaving Sixth Form college. I made fixings for a variety of industries. In 2013, I joined the NHS Care in the Community Team and then moved on to working as a carer in a care home.

I joined The Cambridgeshire Care Home in 2017 and have completed my NVQ Health and Social Care level 3.

Gary is very modest and wouldn't necessarily tell you that he won an award at The National Care Awards for "Putting People First" - an award truly deserved because he really does put people first. Read less

I am from Romania, where I completed my Nurses Training in 2015. I moved to the UK and started working in care homes, and have enjoyed providing high-quality care and compassion since then.

I enjoy supporting our Residents, as well as Staff, especially since taking on the role of Head of Care for Queen's Household. I take great pride in leading by example and nurturing the team to continue to provide dignity, respect, kindness, and excellence in every aspect of care.

I started my career at The Cambridgeshire Care Home in 2019 as a carer, and I am now Resident Lead of Kings Household, having been supported in my development and training. I have an NVQ Level 3 and my Care Certificate. I find working in care to be very rewarding.

I have a background in administration and customer service, having been a buyer, salesperson, account manager, office manager and CEO in a variety of industries from Fire, Domiciliary Eyecare, Medical, Insurance and Charity. I started at The Cambridgeshire Care Home just as the COVID lockdown started.

I started my journey in a care home setting after receiving my Level 4 in Events Management.

I love my role as Head of Wellbeing as it allows me to remain creative, working within care and being able to chat to Residents and Families. It helps me create new activities based on Residents' hobbies and interests.

I have been a Professional Head Chef for 35 years, I have owned my own restaurant and private catering company. I started as an apprentice chef at St John's College in Cambridge. I re-joined CCH in November 2021, after 2 years away.

I have many years of experience in the hospitality industry from Hotels, colleges and running our own pub/restaurant. I have worked both front of house and back of house, which I enjoy as a varied role. However, it is the care environment that I enjoy the most, and the feeling of giving back to our residents. Read less

I was born in Hardwick and grew up in Cambridge. I started my career in care as a Health Care Assistant at Addenbrookes Hospital on the Neurological Ward in 2009. I have been in care since then, having worked in a community hospital and another care home.

I started my working life at The Cambridgeshire Care Home as Hospitality Staff and was put through my Food and Safety Level 3 Certificate, and was soon promoted to Hospitality Supervisor.

You may be interested to know I have a degree in criminology, but care is where my heart is and where I feel happiest. Read less

I was born in Ramsey. I am the youngest of 6 children.

When I was younger, I wanted to be in the Police force. I passed the entrance exam, but they weren't recruiting, so I went to Tesco, and carried out various roles until I became a Senior Manager, Trouble Shooter and led the Training and Development for five Stores.

I went on to become a bookkeeper and an Office Manager at Premier Electric, then to Storage King in Cambridge for seven years, and eventually seconded to the Bedford store for five years as Store Manager.

And here I am now at The Cambridgeshire Care Home as the Home Administrator.

I enjoy a number of hobbies, I like squash, am a very good roller skater, skier, horse rider and enjoy riding motorbikes. Read less

I am originally from Essex but travelled all my life due to a Military background.

I started working for the Civil Service in 1988 and was contracted out to work for The Royal Anglian Regiment in Colchester as the Administrative Assistant.
