Mum went into Sandiacre Court, initially for two weeks respite which ended up being three weeks. Mum was very apprehensive about going in but she ended up having a great time. She has a lovely room and the staff were all brilliant with her. Donna the manager kept us informed and sent us videos which
we really appreciated and gave us peace of mind. Since mum has come home she has already mentioned going back. A massive thank you to all the staff.
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreThank you for your wonderful review and comments. It was an absolute pleasure having your mum here and we would welcome her back anytime even if only for cake and coffee or lunch so we can have a catch up.

Sandiacre Court Care Centre has been home for my father for two years. The care and attention given has been excellent. It has been individual, caring and an easy relaxing environment to enjoy his last months of a long life together. From stepping through the doors at any time of the day or night the
welcome felt warm and inviting. Would certainly recommend for respite to long term care.
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreThank you very much for your kind words, it has been a great pleasure to care for your father over the last two years, he was a great character and will be very missed, as will you. You are always welcome to visit our cafe any time for coffee and cake and catch up. With the very best wishes for your future. All at Sandiacre Court Care Centre.

My mother has been a resident for 4 years and passed away peacefully this week. Staff have always been respectful and kind to my mother. All her personal care needs were met professionally. Food was very important to my mother and we always commented on the good quality and quantity- she never went
without what she enjoyed especially tin tomatoes on toast and a full English breakfast. I was always kept informed of any changes to my mothers health.
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreThank you David, it has been a pleasure to look after your mum. We will miss her and you. Take good care of yourselves and please pop in to see us if you're passing.

My dad came here for end of life care on 2/1/26 and unfortunately he passed away on 17/1/26.
I cannot fault this home.
From the 1st phone call to Sandy and visiting the home and meeting Donna has been excellent.
They care about the person and their family, they made a very difficult time in our lives
more bearable.
The nurses and all the staff looked after dad so well the care the understanding and nothing was too much trouble.
They explained everything to us about dad's care and what to expect.
When it got nearer to dad's passing we stayed at the home with dad and they looked after him and us so well.
It was intense and heartbreaking and they would come in and check on dad and us.
From the minute dad came to the minute he left they cared and looked after him so much.
I will never forget you all and I thank you so much and so do all my family.
Not only did you let us into your home you let us into your hearts and you will always be in ours.
Thank you all so much for caring for our dad.
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreDear Debbie and family, from the moment we met you all we could feel the love and care you had for your dad. We feel honoured to have been part of your journey with him and to have helped and supported you through this traumatic time. We hold you in our hearts and it was a great privilege that you chose Sandiacre Court as a final home for your wonderful dad. You are now and forever a part of the Sandiacre Court Family and will always be welcome for a coffee, cake and a hug!

My mother has had a few Respite stays at Sandiacre Court Care Home in the last year and she always enjoys it. The Carers are so friendly and helpful, they do an incredible job. The level of Care and attention to detail is exactly what you hope for. The facilities are clean, modern and well kept. The
Management are also very friendly and superbly professional. I'm happy to recommend Sandiacre Court Care Home.

From the first phone and then meeting our experience has been excellent. Three staff members in particular have always shown a genuinely caring, friendly yet professional manner to ourselves and family members. This echoes throughout the whole team. They all show patience and understanding as well as
a sense of humour. Having supported our love one for many years at home, they have helped make the transition to their care home the best it can be. We feel well supported and listened to. Different activities available in the home and the coffee and cake in the cafe have added to stimulating experience.
Reply from Angus Matthew, Head of Marketing at Sandiacre Court Care CentreThank you for the wonderful review of Sandiacre Court Care Centre. Your experience, from your first contact to your ongoing journey with us, truly embodies our mission. We're thrilled to hear that our compassionate, professional, and humorous team has made the transition for your loved one so positive. It's a huge step to move into a care home, and our staff works hard to make it as seamless as possible. We're glad you feel supported and listened to. Your feedback highlights our commitment to person-centered care and building a real community. The variety of activities, from stimulating events to the simple joys of coffee and cake in our caf, are all designed to enrich our residents' lives. We believe that life should always be a celebration. We're so grateful for your trust in our team. Your review confirms that we are achieving our goal: to create a home where residents and their families feel happy, secure, and cared for. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of life.

This review relates to Oct 2024 until Jan 2025, about our Mum who has dementia. We know a new manager was appointed in March 2025. The receptionist and cleaners at Sandiacre were always caring and kind with Mum and would talk to Mum. We were really disappointed with the overall care and compassion,
the nurses were helpful at times. We felt that the care assistants were not compassionate and did not attempt to have a relationship with Mum. As new users to a care home situation, we soon released that the staff did not not know Mum, there was no initial assessment of care, we had to chase to see a care plan, and when we did see it there was incorrect information. The lack of care was highlighted as Mum's teeth were not brushed or dentures despite this being recorded as having happened daily on the care app. Mum was really anxious and agitated the whole time she was at Sandiacre. Mum was inappropriately dressed numerous times. Within a week of being at a new home Mum was 100% settled
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreDear Dionne, We apologise for your experiences at Sandiacre Court. Under a new management team at the home and further training and support for our team, we have made changes to our documentation and improved our standard of care for our residents, and communication to family members. We are pleased to hear that your mum is settled in her new environment.

Whilst in my short stay in the home, I have met a lot of lovely residents with whom I chat a lot with and would like to keep in touch. I would definitely come back here to stay. Staff are friendly and kind. The home is spotless and my room is first class. My short stay here has been a memorable, great
experience.

Being here is very comfortable and I am quite happy and contented. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for us all. Care is the most important word here. The carers are or must have been handpicked. We have a manager who seems to care too, she is around to make sure we are okay. We all have a lovely
TV and a comfortable bed. What could we wish for any more than what we have? Oh! We have our own ensuite.

The emotions we experienced as a family when knowing we needed a nursing home for our mother were daunting, scary and overwhelming. When we visited Sandiacre Court, the initial interaction with admin staff to the walk-a-round and seeing staff with residents compacted to others we had visited, we felt
we had found the place for our loved one. Our mother has resided here for four months, and the dignity she has been awarded in her time of need, as well as the support shown by staff to us her family, has been exemplary. We would highly recommend this care home.

My partner has lived at Sandiacre Court Care Centre for over two years. I visit several times a week. He is very well cared for and has good friends there. They go on outings. The activities are great. The care he receives is outstanding. All staff are attentive caring people. Nothing is too much trouble.

Mum came here in March 2024 from the hospital where her care was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and caring even when Mum couldn't hear or talk they communicated with flash cards and she didn't want for anything. They also were very caring with family and friends. I will be forever
grateful for the outstanding care.

My mother was admitted to Sandiacre Care Home in early May of this year for respite care. The manager and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming and most of all caring from the moment we were there. The home itself was very modern, with light and airy rooms more like a hotel than a home.
There seem to be lots of organised activities throughout the day and the residents seem happy and content. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The home itself was quite safe and secure. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone and if we need a home ourselves I hope this one is available!

All the staff, carers, nurses, administration and management treated my father with care, dignity and respect and with a healthy dose of humour. My mum was with these lovely people for almost 2 and a half years until her passing. Originally there for a second bout of respite care, COVID at home (we lived together) caused her stay to be extended. After that Sandiacre Court was closed to people in and out, again due to COVID. Mum stayed on from
then as she had settled in. The staff are lovely and very caring so we had no problem with her living there.

My wife was discharged from the hospital with Lewy Body Dementia, needing dementia with nursing. I found there are very few care facilities within 30 minutes of my home that are able to offer dementia with nursing, and the ones I visited could not provide three categories that were important - social,
space (to walk) and activities. On my first visit to Sandiacre, I was immediately impressed with the enthusiasm of the relationship manager, and although the home manager was at the point of change, I briefly met both the outgoing and incoming manager, enough to fill me with confidence that the home was well led.
It is now almost four months since my wife became a resident at Sandiacre, and I am pleased with her care. Because of her condition, she can be difficult to engage with and struggles with group activities, but the staff do their best to include her and ensure she joins in communal meal times to help her social activity.
When I visit, the care staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent team.

Totally happy with the care Mum was given over 18 months. I will miss the staff who are totally dedicated. Whenever I went to see Mum I was surrounded by support from reception to all areas. Towards the end of Mum's life, it was like being with family. I will treasure this forever.

Mum recently moved into Sandiacre after a bad experience at another home. Sandiacre staff were so supportive not just of Mum but of us too. They made Mum feel so welcome and safe. The managers, seniors and carers have all spent time with Mum getting to know her and assuring her that she is in good,
safe hands now. Mum is already more settled than we have seen her for 3 months. Thank you.
