My aunt has been in Pitkerro for almost 2 years and it has changed her life from taking part in all the different activities that are offered. The wonderful staff. She is so happy at Pitkerro. The home is always clean and tidy and you are welcomed at the front door with a smile. Carer Franco always
makes my aunt smile and makes sure she is looked after well. A job is never too big or small.

My mum has been in here for more than a year and the staff are excellent dealing with the residents especially when they are not understanding what is happening to them. They are passionate about the residents care and they encourage residents to take part in all activities. Management has an open door
policy and are always available to discuss any needs. I would recommend this care home. The place is spotless and residents rooms are cleaned on a daily basis.

My mother has been a resident for 4 years and passed away peacefully this week. Staff have always been respectful and kind to my mother. All her personal care needs were met professionally. Food was very important to my mother and we always commented on the good quality and quantity- she never went
without what she enjoyed especially tin tomatoes on toast and a full English breakfast. I was always kept informed of any changes to my mothers health.
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreThank you David, it has been a pleasure to look after your mum. We will miss her and you. Take good care of yourselves and please pop in to see us if you're passing.

My Mum was taken into care at Lornebank in Oct 2022. In the 3 and a half years, we have been very happy with her care and the support she was given. All the staff provided first class service and I always felt that my Mum was in good hands. In her last month of care, she was unable to sit up unaided
and remained in her bed. The staff checked on her regularly and looked after her personal hygiene to maintain her dignity. I am a Community Pharmacist and familiar with palliative care medicine. I was with my mum, during her last 48 hours, and I am more than satisfied that medication was administered appropriately.
I really admire the efforts of the care staff and the management team - I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to my family and friends. Regards
Emma

My dad came here for end of life care on 2/1/26 and unfortunately he passed away on 17/1/26.
I cannot fault this home.
From the 1st phone call to Sandy and visiting the home and meeting Donna has been excellent.
They care about the person and their family, they made a very difficult time in our lives
more bearable.
The nurses and all the staff looked after dad so well the care the understanding and nothing was too much trouble.
They explained everything to us about dad's care and what to expect.
When it got nearer to dad's passing we stayed at the home with dad and they looked after him and us so well.
It was intense and heartbreaking and they would come in and check on dad and us.
From the minute dad came to the minute he left they cared and looked after him so much.
I will never forget you all and I thank you so much and so do all my family.
Not only did you let us into your home you let us into your hearts and you will always be in ours.
Thank you all so much for caring for our dad.
Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care CentreDear Debbie and family, from the moment we met you all we could feel the love and care you had for your dad. We feel honoured to have been part of your journey with him and to have helped and supported you through this traumatic time. We hold you in our hearts and it was a great privilege that you chose Sandiacre Court as a final home for your wonderful dad. You are now and forever a part of the Sandiacre Court Family and will always be welcome for a coffee, cake and a hug!

Dad has been here for almost 2 years. The care he has received has been excellent. The staff are kind and considerate and have always been there when he has needed them. It is a well-managed nursing home. The rooms are great, and the community spaces are bright, clean, light and airy. Overall, an excellent
nursing home.

On first arriving I was greeted at the door with politeness and kindness. Walking round it was spotless. No smell throughout and constant housekeeping. The food I described as home cooking like my mum did. The chef visits all rooms each meal time. I have settled in perfectly, now one of the family.

Arriving initially for respite care, Mum adapted very quickly to the caring atmosphere of Harbour Care Centre and decided that she would like to stay. She enjoys the friendly atmosphere, and the care she receives has been excellent, ensuring she feels a valued member of their community. The activities

Mum has been in Montrose Gardens since June 2025. Settled in better than expected and enjoys taking part in the activities and entertainment. She enjoys getting her hair done and getting her bath, as was always used to just showers. She has a good relationship with the carers, who always go that
little bit extra in helping her with her mobile phone etc.
Has also a good rapport with the other residents in her unit and likes to meet up with other residents from other areas of the home.
There have been a few teething problems, but by sitting down and discussing these issues, we have got them resolved and we are now all on the same page.

Dad has been a resident since 2023. The care he has received has been exceptional and has greatly contributed to his continued health. All staff are approachable, caring and available to chat when family members visit. Although Dad has limited communication, his reactions when staff interact with him
are clearly ones of pleasure and appreciation. As a family, we are all grateful for the fabulous care taken of Dad. Activities provided daily for the residents are varied, engaging and fun. Dad especially loves it when the rabbits come to visit!

My dad has been a resident here for just over 2 years. He has always been happy, and the staff are always kind and friendly.
His fluctuating needs are always met with compassionate care, and he is always treated with dignity and respect. It is really nice to see friendly faces as his health has deteriorated,
and it is good to know that he can stay in the same room regardless of his needs. He is much happier having continuity in his care, as am I. It is a lovely home with lots of lovely staff.

We are so pleased that we were lucky enough to find a room for Mum last year. The staff are all amazing, friendly, caring and very professional in their care of the residents and medical needs. Mum loves her room; it is perfectly set out for her to allow maximum independence.
It is lovely to know that
Mum is happy and feels at 'home'.
It is Mum's choice not to join in too much. Although Sally tries hard.

My mum moved to Livingstone suite in 2023 as she was high risk of falls and very frail. The Livingstone team cared for her so well and very quickly Lornebank felt like home not only for my mum but for me too. Her room is clean & neat and her clothes are laundered and fresh.
She enjoys activities
and has visits from therapy dogs, owls & ponies! My mum celebrated her 100th in September and the reception & activity teams decorated and hosted a birthday party with 80 family and friends that was a joy for everyone. I doubt she would have reached this milestone without the nursing, dedication and love of all the wonderful staff at Lornebank. I am very grateful to all the staff and now am reassured that my mum is cared for 24/7.
Reply from Rishi Sujeewon, Home Manager at Lornebank Care CentreI just to say a big thank you for your feedback and how mum has settled within Livingstone unit. Your feedback will be shared with staff and I am sure they will appreciate the positive comments. Thank you Marion.
