In the short time our aunt was in your care, the dignity, empathy and respect you showed her was excellent. All members of staff, regardless of their role, were also caring and considerate towards our aunt, family and all those who visited. We would not hesitate to recommend your centre to others

Our parents were welcomed into Harbour Care Centre, a well facilitated home with a caring and friendly atmosphere. They share a double bedroom which allows them to stay together, both recieving the care they require. The area is light, spacious and nicely decorated with a well managed team providing dedicated and experienced care, adjusted to each resident's needs. A robust week of activities, or a chat in the lounge with a cup of tea, good meal selection plus in-house hairdressing. The unit manager strikes the right balance of compassion and professionalism with regular updates when necessary. This provides us, as a family, the reassurance of excellent on-going care!

My Mother in Law has been here for just over eighteen months now! It's been a very good decision as the care she has received has been amazing! We have got to know most of the staff by name and absolutely adore them all!! She is very content, and her room is modern and comfortable!

Reply from Angus Matthew, Head of Marketing at Harbour Care Centre

My dear friend had really bad experience with another care home. So when she was taken into hospital I started looking for a new one for her to go into.
I found Sandiacre Court by chance after trawling through the internet for Specialist Dementia care homes with a nursing facility. Right from the start the staff were so accommodating and friendly. They pulled out all the stop to accommodate my friend who moved into the home within 2 days of my first visit.
Sadly my friend who had end stage Dementia with Parkinsonism was only there for a short time before she passed away, however during her time with them, she received the best of care. Donna and her team were fantastic. The staff were very attentive, caring, kind and considerate to her needs as was they with her friends and family and cared for her with dignity and respect.

If you are looking for a care home that truly cares choose this one you won't regret it.

My mother receives excellent care at Habour Care Centre.

The staff, who are all wonderful treat her as an individual and respect her personal requirements, always happy and professional they are very quick to respond with any health changes. Mum chooses not to participate in activities but a lot is provided and I see a lot of residents enjoying activities and the entertainment the hard working entertainment lady provided.

Reply from Angus Matthew, Head of Marketing at Harbour Care Centre

Fantastic open day today thoroughly enjoyed by residents, staff and visitors.
Lovely refreshments provided by Shirley & her team.
Musical entertainment ensured everyone had a welcoming & fun time with the opportunity to view the excellent facilities.
This is credit to the manager Donna and all her staff members.
Sandy is the first person we spoke to & met when contacting SC looking for residential care. She was then and is always lovely, welcoming with a great sense of humour whilst being compassionate and caring.
The care team are guided & lead by senior carers who listen and support residents, and their relatives making them feel valued and important, ensuring our loved ones are cared with respect, compassion and affection.
The nursing team ensure prompt attention to any concerns raised in the residents health..

The house keeping and maintenance teams share the positive, fun ethos of the home and make us all feel so welcome

Room 5/5 very satisfactory, good storage, interesting view. Dining room is good, but the meals are not very similar to the menu picture. Ground floor and entrance not very inviting. Nobody always on reception, making it not very welcoming. Staff all helpful and caring.

Reply from Angus Matthew, Head of Marketing at Harbour Care Centre

Thanks for your feedback. We are close to redecorating the ground floor and reception. Work should start soon on this. We have also had one of our receptionists leave and have struggled to replace her with a suitable candidate but we are interviewing people now.

Mum is very happy in Pitkerro Care Home. The staff are great and go to great lengths to make sure residents are happy. Lindsay and her team are very approachable and if there's a problem they are quick to solve any issues. There are lots of activities available for residents to keep them busy. Residents and their families are invited to themed events, e.g., an Italian meal, which was a lovely way to spend time with Mum. Glad Mum is here at Pitkerro, it has to be one of the best!

Mum went into Sandiacre Court, initially for two weeks respite which ended up being three weeks. Mum was very apprehensive about going in but she ended up having a great time. She has a lovely room and the staff were all brilliant with her. Donna the manager kept us informed and sent us videos which we really appreciated and gave us peace of mind. Since mum has come home she has already mentioned going back. A massive thank you to all the staff.

Reply from Donna Evans, Home Manager at Sandiacre Court Care Centre

Sandiacre Court Care Centre has been home for my father for two years. The care and attention given has been excellent. It has been individual, caring and an easy relaxing environment to enjoy his last months of a long life together. From stepping through the doors at any time of the day or night the welcome felt warm and inviting. Would certainly recommend for respite to long term care.

My father stayed at Harbour care home for respite, for 2 weeks. But because he was so much happier there I decided to keep him there. It has been so nice to see him happy again.

Reply from Angus Matthew, Head of Marketing at Harbour Care Centre

That is wonderful to hear. People staying at Harbour for respite tend to come back to us again and again. For some people it is the perfect lifestyle choice for them. Many eventualy make the move permanent having made friends and got familiar with all our carers and nurses.

My aunt has been in Pitkerro for almost 2 years and it has changed her life from taking part in all the different activities that are offered. The wonderful staff. She is so happy at Pitkerro. The home is always clean and tidy and you are welcomed at the front door with a smile. Carer Franco always makes my aunt smile and makes sure she is looked after well. My mum has been in here for more than a year and the staff are excellent dealing with the residents especially when they are not understanding what is happening to them. They are passionate about the residents care and they encourage residents to take part in all activities. Management has an open door policy and are always available to discuss any needs. I would recommend this care home. The place is spotless and residents rooms are cleaned on a daily basis.

My mother has been a resident for 4 years and passed away peacefully this week. Staff have always been respectful and kind to my mother. All her personal care needs were met professionally. Food was very important to my mother and we always commented on the good quality and quantity- she never went without what she enjoyed especially tin tomatoes on toast and a full English breakfast. I was always kept informed of any changes to my mothers health.
