Visit friend frequently, facilities are excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive. Friend appears very settled and well cared for.
Thank you for your comments. Residents settle quickly at our care home, it's something we work hard towards. Hope you like the improvements we have made to a lot of areas of our home including the garden, with its new planters and baskets.
I really admire the efforts of the care staff and the management team - I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to my family and friends. Regards
Emma
First of all, please accept our sincere condolence and all our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are so grateful for your kind words which means a lot to our staff team. I am glad to hear that staff did everything right to support mum during her last few days at Lornebank. Your comments with...
Has also a good rapport with the other residents in her unit and likes to meet up with other residents from other areas of the home.
There have been a few teething problems, but by sitting down and discussing these issues, we have got them resolved and we are now all on the same page.
I really appreciate your feedback and we will continue to ensure to work on areas where improvement has been identified. I just want to thank you for this.
She enjoys activities and has visits from therapy dogs, owls & ponies! My mum celebrated her 100th in September and the reception & activity teams decorated and hosted a birthday party with 80 family and friends that was a joy for everyone. I doubt she would have reached this milestone without the nursing, dedication and love of all the wonderful staff at Lornebank. I am very grateful to all the staff and now am reassured that my mum is cared for 24/7.
I just to say a big thank you for your feedback and how mum has settled within Livingstone unit. Your feedback will be shared with staff and I am sure they will appreciate the positive comments. Thank you Marion.
friends, and sees all the staff also as her friends.
The building is always immaculately clean and tidy, and their are lots of activities, hair dressing days, etc.
My mother has very limited mobility - and the staff
are always their when she needs help / toileting , etc.
I honestly think that Lornbank is a fantastic facility, and my mother really enjoys being their.
I just want to thank you so much for your kind review and I am so happy to know mum has settled so well amongst the other residents in the unit. Your comment will be shared with staff and I am sure they will be delighted to hear such good comments. We understand that deciding to move a loved one...
Mum has thrived since going to stay at Lornebank, she has put on weight, she takes part in all the various activities and has even been out on visits.
The staff are so friendly and attentive to mums needs, nothing seems to be a bother to them. I think having people around her all the time and all the activities on offer has certainly given mum a new lease of life. For me it has taken all the worry away, knowing mum is being so well looked after 24/7.
Hi Carolyn. We really appreciate the positive feedback and your understanding of mum' s care needs. Your comments will be extremely well received by staff and this is always a motivational factor for them as we sometimes do not realise the hard work that goes behind the scene. Once again, thank you for your online review.
Having moved my dad from another care home in March this year, my sister and I were anxious about him settling. The staff in my dad's unit in Lornebank have really got to know my dad and his 'ways'. They have quickly learned what matters to him and treat him with respect and dignity. They continually strive to find ways to help my dad both emotionally and physically. The staff show compassion and understanding to my dad and the family. Particular attention is given to ensure fluids are taken on board and regularly encourage eating and drinking when my dad needs prompts. We are very grateful for their efforts
Thank you for your heartfelt review of Lornebank Care Centre. It's truly wonderful to hear that your dad has settled in so well and that our team's dedication has made a significant difference. We understand the anxiety that comes with such a change, and we are so proud that our staff has quickly...
The carers we've met have been responsive and very caring but there are simply not enough carers in Linden Lea, this should be addressed to meet the needs of the people there - this is my biggest concern during the week my mum's been a resident. Activities look great but it appears that it's up to family to ensure my mum gets to participate.
We would like to highlight our commitment to engaging all residents, regardless of their mobility or social preferences. Our activities team works tirelessly to provide one-to-one sessions for residents who prefer to stay in their rooms, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity for stimulation...
Staff have been great and assisted and adapted greatly with his needs.
Thank you for your kind words and taking time to construct a review of our services at Lornebank Care Centre. We are especially proud of the activities we have on offer here which are designed to promote social, cognitive, and emotional well-being for its residents. The care home, owned by Hudson...
She is in the Livingstone unit which is a small unit with only 10 female residents and usually the same members of staff on duty which ensures consistency of care.
The home itself is bright, airy and very clean.
There are many activities taking place which she is encouraged to participate in.
She herself appears to be happy with her surroundings.
She is always clean and dry and appears well cared for.
A menu is put on the board daily.
All in all, I am very happy with the care being provided. The location is good for family visits and some shops and restaurants nearby if the weather is suitable for getting her out.
Would not hesitate to recommend this care home to others.
Thank you for your kind review of our services and staff at Lornebank Care Centre. We are delighted that your Mum has settled into our Livingstone unit and glad that you have found her care and our activities program good for her.
It was a daunting experience having to look for a suitable care home for my mother. But after visiting Lornebank Care Centre and being greeted by a staff member at the reception it was an easy choice. We visited two other homes, but they did not even come close to Lornebank. During our visit, all the various parts of the centre were explained and we were advised as to which section mum would be best suited. All the staff were very cheerful and easy to engage with. It was a bit of a heartache taking her there and leaving her for the first day. But the staff were very reassuring that she would settle and they would keep an eye on her. So far she has only asked about three times "When am I going home". All the staff at Lornebank are first rate and we feel happy mum is with such caring professional people.
Thank you for your kind and honest review of Lornebank Care Centre. We know that finding the right home for your loved one is a difficult choice and we are so glad that you put the trust in us to ensure that your Mother is very well cared for.
Lornebank was an easy choice for us when Mum's dementia became too difficult for us to cope with in the family home. We visited several care homes in the Hamilton area, and Lornebank felt right when we saw the facilities and spoke to the staff. Mum has been resident here now for around a year, and we're very happy with the care and attention she's received during that time. Not only that, there are plenty of activities and events to keep her interactive and engaged with those around her.
Thank you for your kind words and taking time to construct a review of our services at Lornebank Care Centre. We are glad to hear that your Mum enjoys the multitude of activities and events that the Centre hosts on a weekly basis.
Friendly staff, always available, very clean and good activities.
Thank you for your kind review of our staff and services at Lornebank Care Centre.
Dad had a stay of just over 2 weeks at Lornebank to allow for a wet room to be fitted in his home. The manager was very helpful in arranging the stay and the team welcomed my dad and his family into the Peacock Wing. It was great being able to visit at any time and we even managed to celebrate my mum’s birthday with my dad in his room. Dad was well taken care of and particularly enjoyed having the facilities on hand to have regular showers, supported by the staff team looking after him. My mum was treated very kindly by the staff and felt comfortable visiting every day and spending time with my dad. Unfortunately, the heating was stuck on high in my dad’s room and was still waiting to be fixed when we left, which made the room quite uncomfortably warm at times but staff were vigilant in opening windows for my dad when needed.
Thank you for your kind review of our team and services at Lornebank Care Centre. We will take on board your feedback and ensure that the issue with the heating system is addressed.
Lornebank has proven to be an excellent Care Home in which my Mother-in-law receives first-class care. The staff are attentive and caring. They are totally dedicated to providing the most professional care for all the residents. The rooms and communal areas are immaculately clean and tidy and the resident's comfort is paramount. My wife and I visited a number of Care Homes before deciding on Lornebank and we are delighted with the standards within the home.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our staff and services at Lornebank Care Centre. We are also delighted that you chose us.
Since contacting Lornebank about our mum, we have had a very good experience with management and staff. Mum has been well looked after and settled well. We have been kept informed at all times. We are very happy we chose Lornebank.

My mum has been residing in Lornebank since June 2023 and the level of care she receives is excellent. The communication from staff is also excellent. The daily menu always offers various meals. The home is spotlessly clean and has entertainment (singers) every month which both residents and their relatives enjoy. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking to put a loved one into care.
Thank you for your kind review of our staff and services at Lornebank Care Centre. I'll ensure the entire team are made aware of your comments.
My brother settled into Lornebank very quickly, following a traumatic stay at a previous care home. From the moment he arrived, his care was assessed and needs implemented quickly. Staff are very attentive to both the needs of the resident and family. The unit is calm, organised and happy, which gives the family confidence. We have the freedom to visit as we need and never feel as if we are intruding on the routine of the unit.
Thank you for your kind review of our staff and care at Lornebank Care Centre. I'll ensure that your comments are shared with the entire team.
My sister's care has improved greatly since coming to Lornebank She has company 24/7 which is to her advantage. The staff are very attentive to the needs of the residents which means we can leave knowing my sister has the best of care. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lornebank.

I recently joined Hudson Healthcare in May 2026, previously having worked across the NHS and private sector, covering roles such as general manager, senior general manager and recently regional director. I qualified as a nurse in 2006 and achieved my degree in nursing at Stirling University. Fifteen years of management experience have allowed me to bring experience that I am sure will benefit resident outcomes and make Lornebank a great home choice for the residents.
I am fortunate to have two grown-up children and four grandsons who live close by to me. I share my home with my partner and Baillie, who is my loveable boy, pet shih tzu.
Swimming and walking are how I enjoy my free time, alongside reading the odd Danielle Steele novel.
