My uncle has recently moved into Lornebank Care Home and has since gained new friends, a lot of confidence, and in general appears to be a lot happier. We tried our hardest to keep him with us at home for as long as possible but as his general health continued to deteriorate, we as a family agreed that he needed 24-hour nursing care. As a nurse myself I am aware of all of his care needs and every single one has been met. Straight away he was referred to the opticians, dentist, physiotherapist, and registered with a new GP. As a family we have not had any issues and always take note that the environment is clean and fresh-smelling on every visit. The staff are friendly and approachable and always happy to help. The manager was great when we came for a viewing and he was really supportive and answered all our questions. My uncle has put on weight since being admitted also which is reassuring to know that he is enjoying the meals. Lornebank has been a great choice for us knowing that he is safe.
Thank you for your kind review of our team and service at Lornebank Care Centre. We really appreciate your words, as the care that we deliver to every resident is personalised. I will ensure that your comments are passed on to the entire team.
In the short time my husband has been here the staff have been really great and he seems to be enjoying the company.

My mum has been in Lornebank Livingstone for the past two and a half years. The staff are brilliant, can't fault them.

My dad has moved from another care home to Lornebank and the difference in him is amazing. He now gets out of bed and joins in with other residents. The staff in his unit are very pleasant and always willing to help and they have great empathy towards the service users. The activities are great and there is always something going on to entertain the residents.
Thank you for your kind review of our staff and services at Lornebank Care Centre. It is a delight to have your father with us and is wonderful that he is joining in with all the activities that we have on a daily basis.
My friend's son died abroad, very unexpectedly and she was devastated. The staff in Livingstone were wonderful to her and could not have taken better care of her. She was so well supported during this terrible time as she has been since she moved into Lornebank almost 2 years ago. The staff are also very thoughtful to visitors. Her room is always lovely, clean and tidy. The buzzers were not working for quite some time! Only complaint.
Thank you for your kind review of our staff and services at Lornebank Care Centre.
My mum moved to Lornebank in October 2022. The team have been really supportive and helped Mum settle. They have been very responsive and happy to answer any questions. I am also happy with the varied activities that are on offer.
Thank you for your review. I am happy to know that you feel mum is well supported and staff are responsive and has a lot to offer. Feel free to contact me if you have any question and I will be more than happy to explore areas we need to improve on. Thank you again.
I'm very pleased with the care and being notified of everything that takes place.
Thank you for your review of our services at Lornebank Care Centre.
The team that look after my mum are exceptional. In a very short space of time, they have built a close relationship with my mum, became familiar with her care needs and deliver her personal care with empathy and in an extremely effective manner that allows her to maintain her dignity. It is clear that the role they play in caring for residents is one that goes well beyond it 'just being a job'. They treat residents in their care with love and respect, showing genuine affection and desire to make their lives as happy and fulfilling as they possibly can be.
Thank you for your summary of our care at Lornebank Care Home. I'll ensure that all of the staff are aware of your comments.
My sister is content and settled in Lornebank Care Centre. The staff and management are kind and helpful. She cannot speak very well but always has a smile for the staff. The staff are attentive and make a fuss of the residents which builds a good bond between them.
Thank you for your kind comments about Lornebank Care Centre. We'll make sure that your sentiments are passed on to the staff
Amazing staff - great at their jobs. Always very kind and caring towards my grandmother. Would recommend this care home to anyone.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding Lornebank Care Centre. I'll ensure that the staff team are made aware of your comments.
Mum was resident in Livingstone Way at Lornebank for 4 years, passing away peacefully in February 2022. During that time the care she received was of the highest standard. Almost more than that, the family atmosphere created and the warmth and friendship to all of us, made mum's final years very happy and contented.
During this difficult time, the staff have always tried to help to keep the family in touch. Anything I have asked to be changed or done has always been done.
Sadly mum's conditions deteriorated and she passed away peacefully.
Everyone has supported and encouraged dad and they all have a very good report with him.
Both parents needed help with mobility. Dad needs extra understanding due to his very limited eyesight and hearing. Happy to recommend Lornebank.
She regularly gets her hair done and carers style it in between cuts. Her room is cleaned every day, always tidy. She enjoys the meals especially breakfast.
Staff are always attentive, caring, and kind and often go above and beyond in their unit. Staff have a good rapport with my mum and I would recommend Lornebank Care Home.
My mother has been in Livingston Unit now for more than a year. I find the staff and management in the unit amazing and can speak to them freely about anything. My mum has now settled in well and loves the staff like family. Thanks again to the Livingston Unit for helping my mum to settle in.
My mum recently came to live at Lornebank Care Centre in March 2021. I can say all the staff I have met are outstanding, from speaking on the phone to answering the door with such cheerfulness and happiness just makes me feel so warmly welcomed. Staff in the unit that my mum lives in very much sees her as a unique person showing wonderful care, compassion and kindness towards her. Keep up the great work.
Margaret, thank you very much for your kind comments which I will share with staff today. Thank you again, Daniel.
My dad has been in since January this year and every member of staff has been excellent they are all professional and friendly they make me feel included. It is spotless and modern. My dad and other residents are all treated with respect at all times. The staff were quick to pick up his likes and dislikes and supported them from day one. My dad has flourished putting on weight, communicating better and less anxious about things. My nana was in a different private care home with one big TV room and one big kitchen for around 60 residents and sometimes it was wild, much like a high school environment with cliches and arguments but Lornebank is split into different sections which is so much better just the right amount of residents together allow social contact, if they want it, but not too many so no one is lost in the crowd. They do a lot of activities with the residents and post them on their website which helped me to see when I couldn't visit during the restrictions.
Thank you again, Daniel
My mum has settled in very well at Lornebank. She is well looked after and the staff are very friendly and caring. She is eating well and is always well dressed and clean and tidy. She has settled into the routine and my sister and I are both very happy with the standard of care.
The staff and care home have been excellent since my husband moved in at the beginning of the year under very stressful circumstances. The care home has provided up to date information on the Covid situation and done everything they can to ensure safety of staff and residents.

Meet the Team (1)

I recently joined Hudson Healthcare in May 2026, previously having worked across the NHS and private sector, covering roles such as general manager, senior general manager and recently regional director. I qualified as a nurse in 2006 and achieved my degree in nursing at Stirling University. Fifteen years of management experience have allowed me to bring experience that I am sure will benefit resident outcomes and make Lornebank a great home choice for the residents.
I am fortunate to have two grown-up children and four grandsons who live close by to me. I share my home with my partner and Baillie, who is my loveable boy, pet shih tzu.
Swimming and walking are how I enjoy my free time, alongside reading the odd Danielle Steele novel.
