Although the facilities are slightly reduced due to renovations, the care provided by the staff is excellent. They are very attentive, taking the time to get know Mum and she is much better socialised than she was at home.
Patients are the priority.
Very friendly staff, always helpful from the management to the carers to the caretaker.
The only issue I may have is my mum could be taken to the toilet more often as she is found to be wet too often, and then her chair is just given a wipe down rather than completely sanitised.
I have been in Lornebank now for over a year, so far I have enjoyed it I have settled in well. I enjoy the activities especially the quizzes, the staff are really nice, very helping and friendly. My room recently got decorated and a new bathroom which I really like it's nice and cosy, I sometimes like to spend time in my room.
The family of my husband are very happy with the care and attention my husband receives in this care home.
I think the service and care she gets in Livingstone is excellent.
She is happy there and well looked after.
My wife seems to have settled in really well, she always seems happy and content, her appetite seems healthy again. She is integrating well with her fellow residents, she also responds to her nurses and carers. There has been a marked improvement in her overall well being since she has left the hospital.
Wonderful care and attention paid to my mother while in this home. Caring and attentive staff, fresh food to tempt the residents. Large rooms kept clean and tidy at all times. Various activities and interaction with the residents.
Thank you so much. The team here at Lornebank Care Centre is thrilled to hear such a good feedback.
Is a lovely care home. Staff are really nice and friendly. Residents all very happy.
On return to the home and she was warmly welcomed back by everyone who cared for her. She is happy to take part in the many activities and recently won a price at the bingo. Although my mother can be difficult at times I would be very happy to recommend this home to anyone looking for a good home for their relative or friend. She is
looking forward to her 90th birthday in June.
My father has now been a resident in Lornebank Care Centre for over a year now and I have seen a marked change in his well being. He is treated with respect and dignity and I am happy that his needs are being met
Find staff very friendly and caring, my auntie appears happy and settled.
Her mobility has improved and her nature is still joyous.
I find the staff very helpful and they keep me informed of any illnesses that require medical attention.
I have found the staff to provide excellent care to all residents. I myself find the staff try to make the residents as comfortable and at ease while still giving them the dignity and respect they deserve. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. The staff and residents are like one big happy family and treat everyone on an equal par.
This is the first experience with a family member in a care home. At first, I wasn't sure if it was the best place for my aunt's care. But as time went on and I got to know the carers and the set up of the place I realised it was a good place for her to be. She is now settled in and liking the place.
Very pleased with staff, communication very good. My wife's needs are met.
Excellent staff. Place is always clean and tidy.
Lornebank staff are fantastic in what they do, staff are all very professional and excellent in the way they look after everyone. My grandfather is well looked after and that gives us peace of mind as a family. Would be happy to highly recommend to other people as well.
On calling unannounced I have always been greeted with kindness and courtesy. Nothing was any bother. A nice professional ambience about the whole of the staff.
Thank you all very much for your care for my husband, I would be happy to use the service again.
We travel normally every 6/8 weeks to visit, by train and can honestly say that the staff are truthful about her condition and keep us well informed.
The owners are now a delight & the changes are so positive.
The only negative is that the phone lines are a nightmare to get through to someone that has to get a call handed to her as she cannot go to a phone and requires it to be brought to her. This excuse has gone on from day one and is rectifiable should they really desire to apply themselves.
Thank you for your review and choosing Lornebank Care centre for your mum. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the support from team at Lornebank. We will pass your concerns regarding the telephone system to our IT department for a better solution.

Meet the Team (1)

I recently joined Hudson Healthcare in May 2026, previously having worked across the NHS and private sector, covering roles such as general manager, senior general manager and recently regional director. I qualified as a nurse in 2006 and achieved my degree in nursing at Stirling University. Fifteen years of management experience have allowed me to bring experience that I am sure will benefit resident outcomes and make Lornebank a great home choice for the residents.
I am fortunate to have two grown-up children and four grandsons who live close by to me. I share my home with my partner and Baillie, who is my loveable boy, pet shih tzu.
Swimming and walking are how I enjoy my free time, alongside reading the odd Danielle Steele novel.
