Overall Experience

Our experience with Aashna house residential care home has been exceptional. We have used the home in the past for respite care and again last month. I would not use any other home for my father-in-law who is 92 years old. Smita and her team are exceptional in making sure all the residents are very well looked after and they all go out of their way to provide good care and service to all the residents. No ask to the staff is a big ask. They would do anything happily and with a big smile on their face. I can say that because whenever I had been to visit my father-in-law while he was staying at the home, I had observed that myself. My father-in-law was very happy to be there, and he cannot praise enough about how good and helpful the staff are. My father-in-law was bit apprehensive a couple of years ago when he had to go there for the first time but since then he is so happy to stay there, this gives us peace of mind, that he is happy and well looked after while we are away.

My father is now in his 90's and a little unsteady on his feet and though independent needs to have care around him. So he lives at home with us but when we are away we need to have some care provided for him. Smitaben and her team have done this now for a few times and each time the care and his stay have been wonderful, so much so that Dad calls it his home from home. All the staff are so friendly and caring and the food provided is wholesome and tasty. When he is there he attends the daily exercise classes and often there are outsiders who come in with different things and he has thoroughly enjoyed those as well. This is a care home that is truly a home and a safe and caring place to leave your loved ones.

Aashna house is an amazing care home , by far one of the best care homes in the UK. Smita and her team are wonderful from the moment your loved one is left in their hands. They have individualised care plans and ensure every need is met both for the resident and their family. It is such a difficult decision to make to leave your loved one with strangers, feeling of anxiety and worry if you made the right choice can be overwhelming and guilt ridden. Smita, takes the time to understand your needs and goes above and beyond to keep you assured that your loved is in good hands. The room is spacious with great facilities. The home itself is welcoming with its cleanliness and great reception area. They have a stunning garden where residents can enjoy the summer months. All the team are so understanding and patient, they ensure my aunty has a good day to day routine and never leave her isolated. They ensure she participates in activities and joins in all celebrations.

The food here is amazing!

My dad has been in Aashna House since June 2020, he is very happy with the care that is getting and loves the food. He joins in with the activities daily and considers it as his home.
I think being with people of his age and community makes it an all round experience for him.
The care & support he gets daily with bathing & dressing is paramount and done with dignity.
The room he picked faces the garden and he loves to look out and admire the blooms in season.
The cleanliness is very good and managed very well.

It must add that the food is excellent, my dad enjoys both veg & non veg options daily.

Aashna House has been my mother's home for well over a decade, and she recently celebrated her 100th birthday there. I cannot speak highly enough of Aashna House, its wonderful manager Smita, and her fantastic staff.

The care my mother has received has been absolutely excellent. From the very beginning, Aashna House has felt like a family to us rather than simply a residential care home. Over the years, the level of care, compassion and professionalism has remained excellent, which has meant a great deal to our family. The food is delicious, the standards are consistently high, and the staff are always kind, respectful and caring. They do everything in their power to ensure that residents feel both welcome and safe.

They also made her 100th birthday a truly special occasion, which was greatly appreciated by all of us.

I wholeheartedly recommend Aashna House to anyone looking for the very best care for a parent or loved one.

We recently had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate my aunt's 100th birthday at Aashna House Residential Care Home, where she has been happily living for over 10 years. The staff consistently provide exceptional care, and it is clear that residents are treated with genuine warmth, dignity, and respect.
A special mention must go to the manager, Smitaben, whose leadership truly makes a difference. She is incredibly dedicated, attentive, and compassionate, and it shows in the high standard of care and the positive atmosphere throughout the home.
For my aunt's milestone birthday, the team went above and beyond. The main room was beautifully decorated, creating a warm and festive environment, and all residents were invited to join the celebration. It was a joyful and memorable occasion, reflecting the sense of community the home fosters.

We are deeply grateful for the care and kindness shown to our aunt over the years. We would recommend Aashna House Residential Care Home unres

I cannot speak highly enough of Aashna House Care Home and the incredible team who care for my mother.

My mother has been a resident at Aashna House for the past five years, was recently hospitalised due to a fracture in her femur. While the hospital was keen to discharge her and explore alternative placements with higher staffing ratios, little consideration was given to her emotional wellbeing or her strong wish to return to the place she knows as home.

Aashna House initially had understandable concerns, as my mother required additional support. However, rather than simply declining, the Care Home Manager worked closely with me to find solutions. She was supportive, compassionate, and genuinely understanding of my mother's needs and wishes.

This care home truly is wonderful. The staff are caring, professional, and deeply committed to their residents. They understand the importance of dignity, familiarity, and emotional wellbeing, especially for those living with dementia.

I visit my mother who is a resident in this wonderful care home. I always find the place to be clean and the environment as a happy place. The carers are all very friendly and welcoming and look after my mother very well. The food they serve is delicious too as I have had lunch with my mother on occasions. The manager is very hands on and caring often seen walking around and talking to residents. Overall an excellent place for our mum who is well cared for and happy in this place.

My aunt has been a resident at Aashna House residential Care Home since September 2025. I can honestly say that I cannot speak highly enough about the Care Home. The rooms and facilities are excellent but what is more appreciating is the care and support that is provided by the staff. I cannot thank enough the wonderful staff for the care and support they've provided to my aunty.

My mum has been a resident for 4 years now. Her Alzheimer's has gradually got worse and now unfortunately she does not recognise me or any family. There has been a high turnover of staff but the services provided are good. My mum is being cared for well and even though she does not really know what is happening, she seems generally content. The food is excellent and physically she is looking well. The care home manager is very friendly caring and very helpful. I would warmly recommend Aashna House.

Aashna House has cared for my dad like family. The home is warm, calm, spotlessly clean, and the kindness, dignity and patience shown to residents is exceptional.
My dad has dementia and has completely bloomed here. He arrived at 56kg and is now 73kg , he's stronger, happier, and his condition feels stable. Friends and family often comment on how well he looks.
Smita is the heart of Aashna House, and the teamwork she leads is outstanding. My dad's main carers, Anil and Sandeep, are incredible , he trusts them deeply, which means everything to us. Management and team leaders are always warm, responsive and supportive.

They've made us feel like family too. I couldn't fault Aashna House and would recommend it without hesitation.

My parents have been residents at Aashna House for just over 18 months. I am very pleased to say that although the previous year has been challenging for my parents health wise, the Team are excellent. My father did not want to go to hospital so the carers and nursing at home team looked after him very well at Aashna House. Thankfully, my father's health improved due to the care he received. My sister has been in Aashna House for over 3 years after being with me for 12 years so I have been very closely concerned with the care she is receiving.
Recently I spent Diwali function held at the carehome. It was deeply satisfying to see the happiness on the faces of all the residents. How everyone was included in rejoicing and encouraged to sing and clap. Even the ones whose relatives were not present. All celebrations such as Christmas, Eid, New Year are also rejoiced.
Individual needs and health issues are constantly monitored. My sister is getting physiotherapy to improve her mobility. She has been given a zimmer frame and a wheelchair which can be used when needed as her tremors have increased.
Not only does the carehome provide for physical needs but also provide spiritual care by allocating a room to be used where clients of different religion can congregate and conduct their prayers.

The carehome is clean, calm and very peaceful thus creating a positive atmosphere.

My father has been a resident here for 6 years now and he is very well settled in this care home.
He has been looked after very well by all the staff and they treat him with care, respect and dignity.
He has a very restrictive palate and only eats certain foods and the care home caters for this.
The manager, administrative team and care team are all focused on one goal - total care for the residents.

Attended a 100th birthday celebration for my aunt at Aashna House today. My mother was a resident here between 2015-2018 before her passing and we had all been impressed with everything.
It is reassuring that the high standards that the home had have not changed at all, in fact, they have been maintained and exceeded. Staff remain just as committed and the manager continues to deliver exceptional performance.

This is remarkable at very challenging times and demands placed in society for adult social care. I am proud to have had an association with Aashna House.
