Bennetts Castle Care Centre

Both my Mum and Dad have dementia and reside at Bennetts Castle. All the staff are helpful, kind and caring and the home is very clean with regular entertainment for the residents. I feel lucky to have found such a caring environment for my parents

I cannot express the heartfelt gratitude I feel towards the staff, management, and friends that me and my late dad made at this home, both of us felt that we were part of a family and were made to feel like we belonged. The home is a very clean environment and is cared for as well as the residents. I cannot find a single fault. The management should be proud! Superb home!

Since my wife and I have visited our friend over the last five months we have found that the staff are so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The medical staff are excellent. They give our friend her medication and change her dressings. They also arrange any hospital appointments. All the staff are happy in their jobs and we have not found a miserable one.

My cousin was in Bennetts Castle Care Centre for just over a week as he was dying. The care, compassion, dignity and kindness he got from all members of staff was first class. I cannot express how grateful I am for the care and understanding he got. Everyone was like part of a big family, they couldn't do enough for him.

My husband has dementia and my family and I visit 3-4 times a week and we all agree he is looked after very well. He is always washed and dressed in clean clothes, every day sitting in the lounge after having breakfast in the dining room. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Any queries are sorted out. Also, the activities people take him to music and singing which he loves (old songs).

Overall, not the cheapest care home in the area, but one where mum has settled happily and the family feel confident she is being well looked after.

I am so pleased that this little gem of a place was where she spent her last months I could not have asked for anything else. So much so, I will definitely go back and visit them.

I would recommend this home to family and friends.

My Mum was given dignity and respect in her end of life care at Bennetts Castle by staff on the first floor. We were also pleased to see two representatives attend her funeral in October. The home has been kind, supportive and very helpful in the time we used their services.

Our dear mum was living at Bennetts Castle Care for five years. When she first went there, she was very poorly, but after she settled and became at ease with her new surroundings, staff, routine, she was very happy and became more at ease and stronger. Staff at the home are all very caring to mum and family. Mum also enjoyed craft sessions, knitting and good old fashion sing-alongs. Carers and management, all very approachable and we were kept informed of all things going on. Thank you all for all you did for our dear mum.

My father was always clean, as was his room. My father seemed happy there.

If any issue arose, they were dealt with promptly. You could tell that the staff didn't treat it as just a job but really cared about all the residents. Dad felt very safe there (sadly he died in March 2016, in hospital). We, as a family, have nothing but praise for Bennetts Castle Care Centre.
