Mum has been a resident at Bullsmoor Lodge since November 2022. During this time I have found her care to be excellent. The staff all seem very pleasant and caring and cope well with Mum's occasional strange behaviour (such as collecting glasses and trying to do her own laundry). The food seems to be good and suitable for someone of her age. I have found the staff to be excellent in contacting me if there are any problems with her day-to-day care.

Our mum has been a resident at Bullsmoor Lodge for 4 and a half years now. We are forever grateful that we had the opportunity for Mum to be here. Considering the last few years and the terrible things we heard from friends and their experiences we feel very fortunate.

It has always been a loving and friendly home, our mum gets on well with staff, and enjoys the food and we are so happy that all the activities have returned. The care and attention paid when something is not right in our mum's demeanour is excellent, we have never had to complain in all the time Mum has been in residence.

My mum has been a resident at Bullsmoor Lodge for nearly two years and in that time I have been more than happy with the care she receives. All levels of staff have shown support and kindness to both my mum and me. They are very commutative with me on all aspects of Mum's care and always welcoming when I visit, they have lots of activities for the residents and encourage families to join in also, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff and wish them a prosperous New Year.

Aunt was very well looked after by the staff of Bullsmoor Lodge. All of the people from the laundry through to the care team and management were kind, attentive and made sure her health needs were met at all times.

I have been in the respite room for five nights as I have a hip which needs replacing and mobility difficulty and painful. This is my first experience with a care home, and what a wonderful provision this has been for me and my family, who were able to go away for a few days knowing that I was safe and well cared for.

Just every member of staff was so very kind, caring and willing to make life comfortable for everyone. This short stay in Bullsmoor Ladge has enlightened my vision of care homes, and if the respite facility here were to be discounted in the future, I and many others would be devastated. I congratulate Bullsmoor Lodge on its wonderful provision.

When Mum recently became suddenly unwell, resulting in a hospital admission, the staff were fantastic and dealt with the situation quickly and professionally. During her hospital stay they showed genuine concern and kept in touch to find out how Mum was doing. When she was discharged back to Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home, I was touched to see how pleased they were to see her and how they made a fuss of her - they are like an extended family!

My aunt was in Bullsmoor Lodge for just over 2 years, before her passing. Throughout her time there, I couldn't fault the care and friendliness she received. The home had a lovely atmosphere, very clean and welcoming. When my aunt eventually went into palliative care, the attention and kindness given to her were second to none and I can only thank them all for their humanity. My thanks also go to the senior staff, who have been brilliant and if I had to mark this home out of ten, I would give it eleven! Many thanks.

Mum required three weeks of respite care recently and Bullsmoor Lodge provided an excellent care service. All the staff were caring and professional and it was a relief to know she was being looked after. The relationship between staff and resident was lovely to see. Thank you, to everyone involved.

From our first visit to assess Bullsmoor Lodge Hotel Care Home, we were impressed by the decor and the residents' rooms and facilities and the pleasant relaxed staff we met. From the moment my elderly mother moved into her ensuite room, she was impressed and quickly settled into the care home routine. The care staff are on hand 24 hours a day and every transaction is recorded and reviewed by the management team. Residents are encouraged to report/discuss any concerns or wishes to the manager.

Mum has been there for just over a year. I can't fault the service we have received, in the most challenging of years. Healthwise my mother has improved over the year, as her medications have been tweaked and she has benefitted from the good nutrition too. She is eating and drinking far more than she was a couple of years ago. The home is well run, very clean and comfortable. The staff are excellent and the communication from the home is very good.

I can't thank everyone at Bullsmoor Lodge enough. We had peace of mind knowing that Mum was safe and being well looked after. On arrival, Mum had a folder with everything about her interests, needs etc. Within two weeks, Mum knew so many members of staff and their names. The manager has been amazing and helped us all through this process. Nothing ever seems too much trouble.

A very well run care home with airy rooms, good food, daily activities and caring staff. Staff morale is high and this is reflected in the general atmosphere of the home. Clean and comfortable throughout. Have viewed many care homes and this is the best.

My mum went into Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home in March 2021. She has received excellent care since she has been a resident and all the staff go above and beyond to cater to all the service user's different needs. My mum has been unwell on a couple of occasions and the staff have kept us updated as to how she is doing and I have been able to talk to her on the phone. Also over the Covid isolation, the home have been very helpful in informing us of the guidelines and when we will be able to visit. They are all very helpful and caring and I am so glad that mum is enjoying her time there.

My mum has been in Bullsmoor Lodge for 2 years it took her a while to settle and join in with activities due to her dementia but the staff were very patient and supportive. She is now settled and very happy and she cannot praise the staff enough and believe me mum would let us know if she wasn’t happy!

Everyone from management down is warm, friendly and approachable as a family we are very happy with the care mum receives it really is the closest to home from home you can get.

Staff are really friendly, caring and look after your every need.
In 2011/2012 I was a resident.
Then every year I have had respite care there and would not wish to go elsewhere.
I like to think I am classed as young now 53 but that has not been a problem for Bullsmoor Lodge accepting me as a resident or for respite.
Highly recommend.
If you are looking for a clean good care home with decent staff who will respect you look into these guys.

The level of care you receive is constantly being enforced and standards are kept at a very high standard by management the great nurses and care staff and every single member of their team.

Thank you to the home manager and all the staff at Bullsmoor Lodge for welcoming my parents to their new home. Mum and Dad have been married 70 years, they were apprehensive about making such a big change to their lives particularly during the present COVID situation. I can only give praise, thanks and appreciation for the care and kindness that has been shown to them since moving into Bullsmoor together. That same kindness has also been shown to the family too which has and is helping all of us adjust. Mum and Dad are happy, safe and together... we couldn’t ask for more. Bullsmoor Lodge and the manager are a credit to Scimitar.
