I feel that the care and attention offered by all staff at Freshfields is beyond reproach from the most junior staff to the senior management. Could not ask for a more suitable place for my sister in law to be in and I always know that she is being looked after to the best she could be. Well done Freshfields!

My mother was treated with warmth and respect and her dignity, despite failing facilities, was preserved at all times. Our whole family were offered support throughout our stay as we faced the difficulties of placing Mum in good care and then, as her condition deteriorated, we were fully supported in finding another facility more suited to her physical needs. Freshfield's manager was exceptional but the whole staff were outstanding in their warmth and care to our family and Mum in particular.

Mum is so happy, I could not have wished for a better care home. We are lucky to have such a lovely home so near to all the family.

The staff at Freshfields are very friendly and helpful, the place is spotless and the food is first class. The activities are good and my mother is really enjoying it there. The rooms are of a good size and are easy to get to. The grounds are very nice and are kept to a high standard.

We have found the care afforded to residents are of a very high standard, and that the management and staff do everything possible to ensure that the resident's health/safety and general care is top priority.

The accommodation is to a high standard as is the dining facility and meals etc.

Entertainment and resident participation program for exercise and well-being is also good.

The management and staff constantly keep us informed of any issues or progress.

My dad is in the care home and there seems to be a few activities. He has age related macular degeneration and therefore has impaired vision. There is not music being played for example.

Dad came to Freshfields just over a year ago, it was a hard decision but I can honestly say the management and staff have made the transition so much easier for us. Freshfields is like a lovey warm home, the staff are well trained, professional, approachable and caring. They take pride in the home, it is kept clean and fresh and so are the residents. Dad is kept stimulated with plenty of activities like movie days, sing along, painting, bowls and much more including outside entertainment. When visiting we are always made welcome and often stay for lunch, the food is all homemade delicious and plentiful and they also cater for individual dietary needs. I can't say enough good things about Freshfields, dad is happy well looked after and content and that means I'm happy.

My mother receives excellent care and is happy as she can be under the circumstances. Her only comment was that there could be more activities.

What a great place. The team really care for their residents. They are cheery, know all their residents, but deal with issues with dignity. They have activities everyday and encourage residents to participate. Its a lively place but with quieter areas for those who need it. Food is cooked on site, it is varied and well received by the residents. Visitors are always offered the opportunity to stay for meals. Care plans are well planned and the family are always kept fully informed. Highly recommended.

When my 90 year old mum's Alzheimer's became too much for me too cope with at home, Freshfields became the extended family that I was looking for. She has been a resident for six months now and is happy in her new home. The staff are wonderful and supportive of us all as a family. I look forward to our visits and my relationship with my mum is no longer stressful, it's back to what it should be, she is my mum again. I wanted to find a home away from home for her, and that's exactly what I got, thank you to the Manager and all the girls x

Before choosing Freshfields I did look at a large number of other care homes in the area. Once we were offered a room we took mum to visit 4 or 5 times before actually moving in so that we both got a feel of the place. I remember when we first sat down with mum for lunch during the trial period, mum saying "it looks lovely here". I tend to think that is because of all the care homes that we did see, Freshfields was the one that looked the least like a care home.
Mum suffers with dementia and when she moved in I was expecting there to be problems with her settling in. I needn't have worried as the staff have been excellent.
When visiting, the staff are always friendly & welcoming & are able to give immediate feedback as to how mum has been doing . Mum has been well looked after.
At mealtimes the food is freshly cooked and there is a good choice.
My son & daughter came with me to see their Nan recently and my daughter commented about how relaxed her Nan looked.

Mum has a lovely room. The building is well maintained and clean with a choice of lounges and there is a secure garden to the rear. All in all I can't fault the place and would highly recommend this home to anyone.
