Thank you for the love, dignity and happiness you gave Mum. We will always be deeply grateful.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such beautiful words. It was an absolute honour to care for your wonderful mum. She brought so much light to this home, and we miss her daily. You truly became part of our family here. We always looked forward to your visits, and the lively energy of the...
We contacted Grasmere rest home when we were looking to move mum up from another care home to be closer to us.
They have been responsive to questions and proactive in helping us facilitate the move once it was agreed they could meet her needs.
It is evident that the care is personalised with very thorough assessments and we have been impressed that she has already been seen by therapy professionals.
The staff having been caring and encouraging and it has been reassuring to see how mum has started to engage and take part in the activities which are adapted for inclusivity.
Being able to access notes helps identify if there are concerns and being able to communicate and discuss these issues openly enables plans to be put in place to help address.any issues.
The home feels very welcoming and staff are very approachable. We have certainly felt more relaxed and reassured now she has been in the home nearly a month.
It is wonderful to hear that our proactive team, thorough assessments, and prompt coordination with therapy professionals have given you such peace of mind. We truly pride ourselves on delivering personalised care, so seeing your mum already engaging and enjoying our activities is incredibly...
Mum has only been in Grasmere Care Home for 1 month so it is still early days, but so far we have been extremely happy with the care she has received. When looking for a suitable provision we were really impressed with the responsiveness of the manager and admin team and from the moment we stepped through the door to view the home it had a calmness and warmth that we had not experienced in other places. The assessment process was very thorough and the team were incredibly supportive in helping us sort out the transition from another local authority. Since being in Grasmere the team have arranged for both the occupational therapist and physiotherapist to review mums needs and have implemented any recommendations. Staff are friendly and open and access to the online portal allows us to see mums daily care notes. The activities organiser is excellent, adapting activities so all are included and posting regular updates so families can see what's going on and share the joy he brings.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Grasmere Care Home. We know that the first month can be a challenging time of transition, so we are absolutely delighted to hear that you, your mum, and your family are having such a positive experience. It is incredibly rewarding to know that our...
The attention to detail and overall care is amazing. I was hesitant if it was the right thing to do but I have no doubts about the choice now.
I cannot recommend Grasmere enough. Everybody I have met has always been cheerful, positive and helpful.
The home is well kept with a lovely outside paved area and garden.
The food is all prepared onsite and looks great.
Mum seems much happier here even though she was unsure about coming. She is smiling and enjoying life again.
Thank you to everyone at Grasmere whatever your job , you are making mums life much better.
Hearing that your mum is smiling, enjoying life again, and feeling much happier is the greatest reward our entire team could ask for. Your kind words have been shared with everyone at Grasmere. Thank you for trusting us with your mum's care, it is an absolute privilege to have her with us.
I cannot thank the Grasmere team enough for their genuine love and care of my 85-year-old father. After a difficult year and him being hospitalised for several months we were so lucky to find this wonderful home and team, who really do look after all their residents just like family. The food looks and smells amazing, the home and rooms smell clean and are nicely decorated and the best thing, we know dad is being cared for, has a new group of brilliant friends and the entertainment is second to none. Thank you so much Antonina, Amy and team xx
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We are so pleased you are happy with the care provided for Dad, and we absolutely love having him with us at Grasmere!
Grasmere Rest Home has been wonderful in meeting my dad's needs. The staff are attentive, compassionate, and consistently proactive with his medical care. They take the time to understand him and ensure he is well cared for every day. As a family, we feel reassured knowing he is safe, supported, and treated with dignity.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review and we are so glad you as a family are reassured with the care provided by us all at Grasmere. Dads bubbly ways have been such a great addition to the Grasmere Family and we love having him here with us :)
We chose Grasmere as mum had previously stayed there for respite and we were pleased with the level of care provided.
Mum becomes extremely anxious especially as the evening/bedtime approaches, her confusion increases and she becomes very frightened. The staff are aware of this and help reassure her and calm her down. This is so important to us, to know she is cared for and safe.
I love the fact there is so much engagement with the residents at Grasmere - from singing, to quizzes to exercises. Christmas was lovely, there were singers from the local church and a great Christmas party for all to enjoy. The pyjama day was fun too but I am unsure who enjoyed it the most - the staff or the residents :)
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review, and we are so happy that you know Mum is safe and cared for at Grasmere. It is a delight having mum with us at Grasmere, her wonderful smile brightens all our days :)
Grasmere certainly goes above and beyond with the care for my Mum. Every member of the Team takes the time to care and make sure my Mum is comfortable, feels safe and is happy. They were all very caring and helpful with the transition process when Mum moved in and helped her and my family every step of the way.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and we are so pleased you are happy with the care we are providing to Mum, it means a lot to know that this has made a positive difference to you all. We truly love having Mum with us!
This is a excellent care home. The room my dad is in is always clean. He seems to be always dressed when I visit. Previously at the last care home he was mostly in his night clothes. The staff is extremely friendly even when they have their hands full. I know my dad is in safe hands and think he is lucky to be there.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words. We are so happy to hear you are pleased with the care we provide here at Grasmere. We love having Dad here with us, and his laugh spreads laughter and joy throughout the home. Welcome to the Grasmere family guys!
Mum settled in like a dream. Right from the start she was warmly welcomed by everyone in the home. Mum has really embraced all the activities and is happy to join in and really enjoys them. She has made lots of new friends and we can see how genuinely happy she is to be there.
Mum is so well looked after. All the staff are very friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. We are always welcomed when we visit. Since Mum went into Grasmere I have felt nothing but relief that Mum is well cared for. Grasmere is such a happy place.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We want to make sure we are going above and beyond in anyway possible, and want to make sure also that the family are at ease too, and we are so happy you are. Welcome to the Grasmere Family, we are here whenever you need us!
After making the agonising decision of finding a care home for my mum, I am absolutely delighted we found Grasmere. My mum is thriving, having the responsibility taken away of trying to manage her life, she is now free to live it in an environment that is both stimulating and caring. It feels like she has gained another family with the level of genuine care given to her. This feels just like a family home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We have loved Mum becoming part of the Grasmere Family, and we are so happy that you are happy with the care Mum is getting. We welcome you all also to the Grasmere family and we are here whenever you need us.
After alot of ups and downs with different care facilities we have finally found the one place my nan feels comfortable. Very responsive to care needs and staff are lovely. My nan seems to have a special bond with certain members of staff. Facilities are great and communication is good. Medication reviews with the nurse could be better and needs better communication otherwise a very warm, welcome place.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We truly love having Nan here and feel she has greatly improved since being at Grasmere. We look forward to getting to spend every day with her! In regard to the medication review, we will speak to the Sutton Health and Care Team to see if there is a way they can improve this.
An amazing 'family feel' from the team that run and care for all the residents. My mother is very well looked after, not just her needs, but as a member of the Grasmere family, as a person and with love. Even though my mothers dementia has sadly progressed, she is still very much included, and they take time to talk and look after her and involve in activities.
We are so pleased to hear that you are happy with the care your mum receives, it truly means a lot to us. We absolutely love having her here, she brings such joy and warmth to us all at Grasmere Rest Home. Thank you for putting your trust in us.
All the staff are, without fail, considerate, caring and kind to my mother and us. Mum receives a very high standard of care. She enjoys the food, which is varied and nicely presented. The activities and days out are well thought out and huge efforts are made to adapt activities to each residents abilities and to ensure everyone enjoys them.

The love and care she received at Grasmere was excellent. The whole atmosphere felt warm and welcoming on our visits. The lounge and rooms were always warm, clean and tidy and the choice of food was good. We greatly appreciated the activities provided for the residents. We were always kept informed of any health issues that occurred and her needs were met.
The staff were always kind and helpful. I am so grateful that my stepmother spent her final years at Grasmere.

Our Mother has been at Grasmere for two years. The staff are very caring and always offer help, should the need arise. There are plenty of activities available to residents, that make life at Grasmere a friendlier place. The cleanliness of the living areas is always good and the quality of the food on offer is to be commended. The open invitation for families to participate with residents at events or even meals is reassuring. There is a friendly feel to the environment felt when visiting residents. There is an online facility, that offers family members to look up various aspects of the residents in care. We are happy to have found Grasmere as a care home and hope that the home continues to offer the standards it has given during our Mother's stay.

Meet the Team (2)

I started working in the care sector as a temporary care assistant in a nursing home in Ashtead. I fell in love with the work and the residents and remained there for three and a half years. I am a very organised person and value honesty and punctuality. I like to treat everyone the way I would like to be treated. I would like to think that I am making a difference in people’s lives, trying my best to give them the best years of their life, while keeping them safe. Grasmere has such a warm atmosphere that really turns the building into a loving home for all of us.
Southcare Homes Group is more than a business, it is a family that continues to improve. I hope to do this at Grasmere, not just by maintaining our Outstanding CQC rating for ‘Caring’, but also by working to improve the other four key lines of enquiry. I hope I will manage to do that as soon as possible to ensure that we have recognition for the services that we offer.
