Grasmere Rest Home is situated in a quiet residential area of Sutton, within walking distance of the railway station and High Street. The home provide 24-hour care with trained care staff on duty.

Grasmere is tastefully decorated and furnished to create a homely, elegant and comfortable environment. Rooms are single or single with en-suite, fully furnished and equipped with a smoke detector, nurse call system, radiator, TV point and telephone (on request). Residents are encouraged to furnish their rooms with personal items.

The Home has a pleasant lounge and dining room overlooking the garden. The garden has easy access and is well maintained with lawns, plants, trees, flowers and a large patio area.

A personal Care Plan is prepared for each resident and all records and information remains confidential. Comfortable furnishings and well-kept gardens make for a pleasant living environment, with nurse call systems enabling carers to respond to any issues at any time of the day or night. Accommodation is on two floors serviced with a passenger lift. There are 23 single rooms and one double room on the ground floor.

The home is able to provide dental, optician, physiotherapy, hairdressing and chiropody services on request. Residents can be registered with a local General Practitioner of their choice and visits by the GP can be made on request. All medications are supervised by staff and are ordered through a local pharmacist.

Residents are provided activities everyday of the week, which includes Bingo, board games, musicians, magicians, singers, Christmas outings, summer garden parties, jazz evenings, visits to the seaside and summer barbecues.

My mum has recently spent 2/52 in Grasmere as a respite resident. I have to say the care they give is truly amazing. I would certainly recommend to others, and we will use them again.

Broke elbow in December 2017 - 6 weeks in hospital - last 2 for plastic surgery - not mobile enough to return home. 4 weeks in Grasmere Rest Home. Good friendly, lively atmosphere, excellent facilities, only occasional arrangements out of normal timing. Had good body washing - night commode care - help
with dressing, carrying bags, papers etc between rooms as unable to hold. Good time and care for arrangements to hospital check up and to hospital. 4 weeks helped me to settle back home. Lounge and dayrooms just completing a bright and up-to-date refurbishment.

I have been going to Grasmere Rest Home for about 4 years. My dad was a resident before he passed away, now my mum is resident at the home. I have found all staff caring and helpful to both mum and dad and always polite. Always greet me with a smile and ask if I would like a tea or coffee. If there
are any problems they phone and let me know immediately, nearly all residents seem to get on well. I feel lucky to have found Grasmere for mum and dad.

Our Mum has been a resident at Grasmere for nearly 3 years now and we are very pleased with the care and support she receives. Mum can be very difficult with her many medical problems as well as mental issues, and the home looks after her very well and attends to her needs. The atmosphere is very homely,
the food is good with plenty of choice and the staff are excellent with her care.
