Absolutely amazing staff member! Met Vjay (Care Coordinator) while visiting a friend and he really stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares and goes above and beyond for the residents. Well done Vjay
Hi Laura, thank you so much for your review and positive remarks about Vijay. It's always lovely to hear good things about our staff, as it motivates all of us to keep working to the highest standards. I'll share your kind words with Vijay and the team; I know they'll be thrilled!
The carers always showed great patience, humour and gentleness, putting up with her moods and eccentricities. The managers kept the channels of communication open, and we were kept informed about her well being. She loved her food, and was guaranteed warm nutritious meals.
When she was more able, she enjoyed the wide range of social activities organised by the coordinator including singing with enthusiasm, chair aerobics, experiences with animals, games and day trips.
Our family would like to thank all the staff at Minchenden Lodge for the best life she could have had in her twilight years. Maybe that is why she stuck around for so long.
It was a privilege to care for her during her many years at Minchenden Lodge, and she will be fondly remembered by our team. Your kind words...
Its always lovely to go and see him so settled and happy.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear your uncle is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It truly means a lot to us. It's always a pleasure to welcome you, and we're so pleased he feels at home here. Your words will be shared with the team!
Minchenden Lodge, from the very first day the staff are amazing, kind, caring and looking
after my dads every need
I turn up lots of different times of the day and every time there is something going on and the
staff are always so welcoming to all visitors along with the residents
I would recommend this care home, from the manager to all the staff it makes what
could be a difficult visit a pleasure
My mother was becoming increasingly isolated at home and one of the reasons for making the transition to residential care was to counter this. She is now fully integrated into her new community and enjoys many of the activities and outings that are on offer. I am able to see these on social media and it is nice to see her enjoying herself.
There is also good access to healthcare professionals which is reassuring. I have complete confidence in the care my mother is receiving at Minchenden Lodge and I now don't have to worry about her at all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such a detailed review of our service; we really appreciate it! It is lovely to hear how well your mother has settled into the Minchenden community and to know that your worries about her going into care have been alleviated.
The home is very personable. Great, clean, good food and carers are excellent. They refurbished Mum's room beautifully. I have nothing but compliments to all at Minchenden Lodge, and it's a great comfort knowing Mum is being looked after.
Thank you for your review. It has been a pleasure to support your mother and also observe her engaging with our team and wonderful residents. We value your feedback and will be sharing it with our team. Please do contact Minchenden Lodge if you need any future support our door is always open. Thank you.
The manager and her deputies lead with a calm and genuinely caring disposition, and this filters down the whole team who seem to get on well and be happy in what can be a very demanding and not always easy job.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. It is our best satisfaction when we hear from our residents and their relatives how good the service and support we provide is at Minchenden. Thank you again.
Our mum's room is small but has everything needed including a mat with a pressure sensor and big windows which the sun shines through in the afternoon. It is always spotlessly clean as is the whole of Minchenden Lodge.
Our mum suffers from anxiety attacks and the staff are extremely patient and kind. They tell her that she is part of their 'family'. Furthermore, we have felt from day one that the management also extends that warmth and concern to us, keeping us up to date and involving us regarding our mum's condition and any steps being taken to improve it.
From the top down, Minchenden Lodge is a genuinely kind and caring establishment.
Thank you, Patricia, for your feedback. We will continue as a team to work closely with you and your mum, making sure she receives personalised quality care. I will share your feedback with the team.
My aunt moved to Minchenden Lodge at a difficult time in her life. The team made her and her family very welcome and showed her excellent care, support and dignity. The positive attitude and kindness of the staff team made her time there enjoyable. Thank you.
Thank you, Anne, for your kind words. I will relay your message to the team. It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to care for and look after your aunt during the brief time we spent together.
My wife recently had two weeks of respite care at Minchenden Lodge. From the warm and friendly greetings on arrival to the hugs (and kiss!) on departure, the whole experience was excellent. Staff and managers, everyone made her feel welcome, and all were attentive, caring and professional at all times. Thank you so much, Minchenden Lodge.
Thank you, Howard, for your kind words. We truly appreciate having had the pleasure of having her with us. She is incredibly kind and always greets with a smile. The entire staff were saddened by her departure. Please know that she is always welcome back at Minchenden Lodge.
My father was a resident at The Lodge for approximately a year and a half and sadly passed away recently. He was physically disabled as well as having Frontal Temporal dementia. No matter morning or evening; whenever I would visit Dad I found him well looked after and surrounded by supportive staff. They ensured that his halal diet was catered for and as his medical needs escalated, staff and the new manager worked hard to keep the family informed of the next steps. We have seen the staff act in emergency situations as well as the day-to-day running of this Lodge and will always be grateful for the professional and exceptional care given with kindness that Dad received in the last year of his life. The Lodge feels homely, not just because of the small number of residents and décor but because all staff are committed to providing an environment where the dignity of the residents is a priority. And they do so with a smile. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. It was truly a pleasure to care for your dad, a true gentleman. We take immense pride in providing high-quality care and facilities to positively impact our residents. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and I will make sure to share them with...
I am kept informed about his condition and if there is anything that they think he might need or want.
All the staff are very familiar and seem to make a great team.
Thank you for your kind words and recognition of the team at Minchenden Lodge where your father is cared for. We would like to thank you for your words of kindness which are very much appreciated. Individual care of our residents is of utmost importance to us. We aim to support you throughout this time. The team will be delighted to hear your feedback.
I am extremely happy with Mum's care, the staff go above and beyond and always with a smile on their face! Mum is always well presented and I cannot praise the staff highly enough! The food looks fantastic and a wide range of activities are on offer.
Thank you, Caroline, for your kind words. It's a pleasure to care for Mum, she always has a smile on her face and maintains positive relationships with everyone.
The manager and staff are very helpful to my relative and the wider family, we couldn't ask for more.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, your positive comments are greatly received by all of us, it has been an absolute privilege to care for your uncle. Many thanks.
The place looks more like a nice B&B than a care home - the rooms look lovely, not at all clinical, and there’s a family feel to the place.
The team are very attentive, making sure Dad gets the best support possible. They give each resident a key worker who pays special attention to the resident they support. They keep in touch with me regularly and let me know if there’s any change in Dad’s health or anything that is needed to make his life more comfortable. I’ve noticed that there doesn’t seem to be much turnover in staff, which I think is always a good sign.
We are happy to be able to support Dad at Michenden Lodge and we are pleased to hear that he is happy here.
Communication is very good and we are always kept up to date with what my mum has been doing.
Visiting is made extremely easy with no requirement for advance booking.
The room and communal areas are always very clean and bright.

My overall impressions are of a good and friendly atmosphere when visiting the home. The staff really do care about the residents’ welfare and do their very best in what must at times be difficult and trying circumstances. The rooms are spotless and the food is of a high standard. Well done to you all.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive impressions of our care home. We're delighted to hear that you experienced a good and friendly atmosphere during your visits. Our dedicated staff genuinely cares about the welfare of our residents and strives to provide the best care possible,...
Extra services, such as blood tests, assessments and the provision of appropriate medication, are all excellent. Management is always responsive to requests and concerns.
Our resident always perks up at mealtimes, so the food must be OK!
Parking in the car park requires delicate manoeuvring, but I don't see what can be done about that (without removing the pretty gardens in front).
All in all, our resident is in the best possible place in which to spend her last years. Thank you, Minchenden Lodge.
Thank you for your kind words and understanding. We appreciate your acknowledgement of our staff's kindness and the excellent services provided. We value your feedback and continuously strive to create a delightful experience for all residents. Your appreciation means the world to us.
I have only the highest praise for Minchenden Lodge.
Mum has advanced dementia and is no longer able to live independently. She was initially reluctant to move out but settled in at the lodge as soon as she arrived. She's now been a resident for two years. To her, the lodge is now ‘home’.
The manager and staff are hard-working, professional, kind, empathetic, proactive and flexible. As this is a ‘medium-size’ care home, there’s an intimate, ‘family’ atmosphere here that you don’t always find in the larger chain facilities.
I’ve always been struck by how much the lodge staff really do ‘know’ my mother – in terms of her personality, likes and dislikes, specific needs and wants. Again, with some other larger homes you can find the staff turnover and rotation so great that they sometimes hardly seem to know their own residents.
As her son, with lasting power of attorney for all of Mum’s affairs, it’s given me huge peace of mind to know Mum is in good hands at Minchenden Lodge.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are absolutely delighted with your comments and the management and staff are equally thrilled to have the dedication and commitment they provide acknowledged so concisely. We can only thank you again for your praise and we all look forward to seeing you again soon.
I'd like to thank all staff at Minchenden Lodge for looking after my uncle and making his stay so happy, friendly and respectful and for providing such a caring, professional and loving home for him. Staff always go over and above to put residents first and they reach out to engage with all residents, their families and representatives even more so during the recent challenges. I'd personally recommend Minchenden Lodge to anyone who's considering a care home with a loving, friendly and professional environment and a great mix of residents.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, your positive comments are greatly received by both management and staff and it has been an absolute privilege to care for your uncle. Many thanks once again.
