During my father's stay at Minchenden Lodge, he was able to see out his final months in life with dignity and the highest of level of care. The staff were always professional but even more so, kind. We were all able to form bonds that impacted us in ways we never imagined. Dad was happy and always comfortable. He truly felt at home, we all did. Thanks to the manager and the staff we were able to focus on quality time with Dad while all his needs and care were taken care of. I’d also like to mention the support and care, we (his family) received was so valuable and we are forever grateful for this.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so very proud to hear such kind praise of our service, the management and staff are overjoyed with your comments and we are so happy to have given you peace of mind whilst providing care for your father. Thank you again and we wish you all the best for the future.
Lovely services by staff. No complaints.
Mother passed away in April 2021 with dementia. My father is still grieving and the care is extremely good from staff.
Father is lonely in his room. He is still unable to see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The food is ok. Father will not join in with activities.
Laundry service needs improvement ie: lost clothing.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. In general, we are happy with your comments, however, somewhat disappointed that there seems to be some dissatisfaction with our service. For clarity, your father can absolutely see his grandchildren via our visiting pod or garden, it is simply...
We live a 100 miles away. We are happy to leave my sister in their care and are content about the fact she is safely cared for. We visit as often as possible and have found this to be fairly straight forward.
Just happy with the care home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so very glad you're happy with our service.
I appreciate my stay and would approve it to a friend.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The management and staff are so happy that you have enjoyed your stay and we would welcome you back any time. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
My mum has been at Minchenden nearly 3 years and during that time we have only good things to say about the care she has received. She is now frail, in a wheelchair and has dementia but all staff there have continued to show such kindness. I want particularly to draw attention to the absolutely sterling effort that management and care staff and indeed everybody at both Minchenden and more widely within the Scimitar group, put in so as to continue to protect and care for our loved ones during the Covid situation. It was such a comfort to us as a family during the times when Government guidelines precluded us physically being with Mum, that she was in good hands.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, the management and staff are delighted with your positive comments and we can only say it is an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to care for your mother. We all look forward to seeing you again soon.
My mum is currently at Minchenden Lodge and I can honestly say the care she receives is excellent. The manager and her team are always kind and considerate to her. It’s a small care home and the staff have got to know my mum very well and she often says to me how lovely they are. Many of the staff have worked there for a long time and that continuity is important for my mum and the other residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to others.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. The management and staff are delighted with your comments and we're so glad that you and your mother are happy with our care. We all look forward to seeing you again soon.
I am very impressed with the love, warmth and care that my partner has received so far and would certainly recommend Michenden Lodge to others. Also, I am hoping my partner can continue to receive further care.

My father has been a resident within this care home for a considerable amount of time. My father’s safety and well being, both physically, medically and psychologically are of paramount importance. Minchenden Lodge staff and the management provide first-class care for my father. It is a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment and all of my father's care needs are met with diligence and superior quality care. The reassuring care is priceless. Thank you to the manager and all your staff for your incredible work and care; truly first class.
My lovely dad spent just over two months as a resident of Minchenden Lodge, but my family will be forever grateful to the wonderful team for taking such excellent care of him and helping us navigate the many challenges we faced with the coronavirus, which limited our access to the home during his final few weeks. The team were compassionate, respectful and so helpful throughout, ensuring dad was comfortable and cared for to the highest standard. With thanks always, from all our family.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. The management and staff very much appreciate your comments and equally feel honoured to have been given the opportunity to meet and provide care for your father. Your words will bring much joy to the staff during such difficult times. We wish you and your family well for the future.

Our family are really pleased with the good service we receive from Minchenden Lodge staff. My mum really likes staying here, has made many friends and has good relations with the staff.
Thank you for your feedback. I will pass this onto the staff. Your kind words are appreciated.
One word - Brilliant!
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. The staff and management would like to thank you for your kind word.
Mum moved to a room in Minchenden Lodge last summer and we have been so happy with the care she has received. The staff are amazing. Always friendly and welcoming to family and visitors and so caring to all the residents. I am so impressed by their dedication and how they genuinely enjoy interacting with the residents making for a lovely atmosphere. The house is always clean and tidy, food tasty and varied and lots of activities going on. I don't think we could have found a better place and we're very lucky that a room was available. Thanks to all the staff.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Your comments are very much appreciated by all at Minchenden and we're proud that both you and your Mum are happy with our service. We all look forward to seeing you again soon.
My mother had been residing at Michenden Lodge for over a year now and I am extremely happy with the level of care she receives. The managers and carers working at the home treat my mother with compassion and love and inform us quickly on any issues that may occur. The food served is of a very high standard (Mum particularly likes the desserts) and they occasionally take them on outings or have entertainment brought in. It is of great comfort to know that my mother is happy living at Michenden Lodge and that she is looked after so brilliantly. Many thanks to all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The management and staff are delighted with your comments and we're so glad that both you and your mother are happy with our service.
My Dad spent his last weeks here. He was treated with dignity, kindness and the best care you could wish for. We, his family, were also treated respectfully, nothing was too much trouble. We were kept informed of his condition and were welcomed anytime day or night. A very comforting and caring environment with beautiful souls looking after your loved one. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Your kind words are very much appreciated by the management and staff at Minchenden and we're so glad we could help at such a difficult time. Wishing you and your family all the best for the future.
This level of care continued right up into the last weeks of his life, when the care and support that Grampa and we, as a family, received was second to none. The manager and her staff did everything possible to ensure that Grampa was peaceful and comfortable at the end, for which we will always be thankful.
Thank you so much for your kind words Alex. Grampa was a pleasure to care for and to know, as you all. Happy New year to you all. See you soon.
