My mum has lived at Parkview House Care Home for nearly 7 years. She has received the best care in the world and all the care staff have been incredible. In the last few weeks, she has been receiving palliative care and me and my whole family have been amazed at the outstanding, high level of care. Our thanks and gratitude to the manager and staff.
I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel welcome straight away. I had a lovely room overlooking a garden. Every day I was taken to the dining room for my meals as my mobility is very poor. They were so helpful in every way. They made sure I had all my medication and were always there if I needed them. So polite and helpful.
My relative as received excellent quality of care whilst living at Park View. The management and staff are friendly, approachable and professional. The food is very good and intake and outtake monitored carefully, which is important. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, with room to be personalised if a resident wishes to do so. Those that live here are encouraged to socialise or can stay in the privacy of their own rooms. My father-in-law has been well cared for during his stay ad has progressed significantly in a short time, due to staff diligence. I would highly recommend this home.
Just wanted to say what a difference the new management team have made at Parkview. The care and support they give is excellent, they have made such a difference to the atmosphere of Park View.
I spent one week at Parkview House in order to be with my wife over the Christmas period. The experience was excellent and certainly made me realise how much work the staff put in re: caring for residents. We had a fine Christmas lunch to together and during the week that I spent there I felt very welcomed by everyone - both staff and residents. I am hoping to repeat the experience and stay for a week at the time of my wife's Birthday.
Mum is very well looked after. The team treat all residents with dignity and respect. Care is gentle and I have seen a noticeable improvement in mum's health. It gives me great comfort to know mum is safe and has a good quality of life following her stroke.
Whenever I visit the home, I am always greeted with a warm, friendly smile. My friend is clearly well looked after, she can be difficult at times, but the staff always treat her with care, compassion and respect. More than we could wish for in this new chapter of her life.
I chose this home for a short respite stay for my grandfather after reading really good reviews online. The staff are very friendly and were so helpful when it came to making a booking and arranging my grandad's stay. I called every day for an update, and the staff were always very informative and kept me up to date with everything that was going on. I'm very grateful for the great staff and service.
Parkview House seems to have been completely overwhelmed by Covid-19 and was totally out of its depth. The poor communication between the home and the named family member meant we were unaware of important changes and procedures put in place, both during and post Covid restrictions. Staff changes, Doctor changes and important end of life care procedures have been insensitively delivered. Inefficient and heartless management prevents any recommendation.
I am extremely sorry to hear that your experience in dealing with Parkview during this difficult time fell so short of your expectations and we do understand that this would have been extremely frustrating and upsetting for you. Parkview have recently put several key staff changes in place with new...
My family and I have been very impressed with Parkview. From the care given to our mother by all staff to the help and assistance given to us as family members was very helpful and comforting. This was a situation new to all of us and we had many questions and worries. Every member of staff we spoke to at the Home helped us along the way, and we are extremely happy with the care and attention our mother receives.
Thank you very much for your kind review, the team at Parkview House really appreciates it.
Great friendly staff, the resident I visited speaks really warmly about everything she is experiencing. My own visits have been well organised and easy and the staff have been friendly and gone above and beyond to help.
Thank you for your kind review. I will share with my team.
The carers are very friendly, during the pandemic they went the extra mile to message in texts and skype were able to see and speak to my beloved mum. The carers have become friends and since we lost our lovely mum they keep in touch via texts and check in with me with kind messages. I am very grateful to all staff at Parkview.
The staff at Parkview House have been excellent at finding ways to keep the families involved during the pandemic and ensuring that there are activities to entertain and occupy the residents. The environment is calm, safe and welcoming. I feel that my mum is in good hands.
Thank you for your review. I will share it with the team who will be delighted to hear your positive feedback.
Since my relative first entered Parkview House she has been treated with compassion and dignity. The care shown is very good, attending to her every need. As she is registered severely sight impaired, it makes it difficult for her to always join in with activities but the staff have always strived to include her. The staff are very approachable, kind and caring and keep us informed about what is happening at Parkview House. They have worked very hard to keep the residents safe through the Covid pandemic.
Thank you for the lovely comments, I will share the feedback with my team.
We were really pleased with Mum's send-off today. We feel it was special for Mum that Parkview was part of the final goodbye to her. It still feels unreal that she is no longer with us and I would imagine that after being in Parkview for almost 6 years, her presence will be sadly missed. I am sure that her life was extended, making friends, joining in activities and going on her little walkabouts, and it was always comforting to us knowing that she was always being cared for so well. We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for everything all the staff did to make her final years happy and safe. We would like to say that since MMCG took over the running of Parkview, things improved dramatically, which included a major refurbishment. The staff were excellent and catered for the residents' every need. The staff were always on hand to deal with any questions we had.
Hello Janice, deepest sympathy again for your loss. Thank you for the kind words, I will pass it to my colleagues at Parkview House. Many thanks.
The home always appears clean and tidy with a calm atmosphere. It's difficult though to review the home in detail as I only visit weekly for a short period of time and my father has mild dementia so is unable to always express his views to me about his care in detail.
Thank you, Parkview.
During these most difficult times, the staff have rallied to make the life of the residents as good as they can. Staff have treated my dad as if he was their own family, with care and respect. They dealt with his period of the bad chest and adapted/changed bed to make him safe and comfortable. Sadly my father declined, I am positive purely due to age and passed away. The staff supported me and showed my father mattered to then and cared well for him till the end.
I have been even more impressed by the dedication of the carers and support staff during the period of lockdown. The activities coordinator and carers have done their very best to give residents the opportunity to keep in touch with family members by Skype sessions. As outside entertainment has been stopped, the activities coordinator has been extraordinary in helping support carers in keeping residents entertained. Many of the carers have their own families and there has obviously been stresses on them to keep healthy. The home has stayed virus free. The manager and her team have all worked hard to ensure that the reintroduction of visitors has not compromised the virus-free status while ensuring that visitors get to spend quality time with their relatives as per guidance.
Well done to all.
To date, I have been extremely satisfied with her care. She always appears clean, tidy and well dressed. The staff are approachable and we are always kept informed with all issues of her care.
