Mum has settled in very well. All members of staff are friendly, cheerful, kind and caring. The home is clean and well kept. Mum likes having her hair done on a weekly basis and she enjoys the entertainment on offer. Lovely gardens to sit in and a visitors' lounge is a bonus.
Homely, clean environment. My nan has settled here really well. Staff are so friendly and always kind to my nana. Any questions were answered when moving nan in. I would 100% recommend Parkview House. Always the same staff which is really nice.
The obvious problem is lack of space which can cause issues at times. Mum has also mentioned that at lunchtime there are not enough toilet facilities near the dining area.
His room is always clean and fresh and his clothes are changed each day so he always looks "groomed". All the staff are friendly and cheerful when I go to visit.
Overall I am pleased with the care and facilities provided to my mother. The staff are friendly and attentive.
I cannot fault the staff be they the cleaners, cooks, care assistants and management. We are always shown kindness and nothing is ever too much trouble. We had a lovely Christmas day afternoon with mum and her friends and the entertainment provided is varied and useful in stimulating mum and others.
The overall standard in this care home has been good. Care staff are always nice and polite doing their very best under sometimes difficult circumstances. The home is very clean (rooms also). Meals are of a decent standard and activities and facilities are good. Pleased with the safety and security provided, maybe they could do with one or two extra staff at weekends. I would most certainly recommend this care home to other people.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We really appreciate and are very happy to hear that your father is happy and settled with us.
Having the task of finding a care home for our 80 year old sister, we checked up and paid visits to many local to her, to see for ourselves. We also made enquiries of availability nearest to us in Chingford. We made a visit to The Park View and right away we felt very welcome. The home had a lovely smell and every time we visit it is the same. The staff we find to be very caring and helpful and our sister has improved so much since being a resident there. Yes, for her, there are elements that are not what she is used to. Living on your own for some years makes it hard, sometimes, to adjust. But we have seen so much change in her since she moved in. This has all been due to the staff at the care home. We have also found that when there has been any problem it has always been acted upon very quickly.
My mum was at Parkview for her last 7 months. She had a spacious room overlooking the garden. She was cared for with real affection and love by the staff, who she described as lovely, and was grateful that we had found Parkview - she had always been a very independent person, so this was high praise. Mum did not have much of an appetite - the fact she put on weight at Parkview is a tribute to the catering. She was not much of a 'joiner-inner' of group activities, but the staff accompanied her on walks to the park next door, and in the home's own garden - and she was looking forward to coach trips. She enjoyed taking visitors to the pleasant tea lounge. The management were always available, responsive and thoughtful whenever issues arose, and very welcoming whenever we visited. The staff went the extra mile, were dedicated to creating a homely environment for the residents, and some became Mum's friends. The result was a genuinely warm, caring home, not just a care home.
I am delighted by my Mum's progress in terms of her health and well-being since she moved in.
This review relates to the first day of residence of my mother in law. In a sentence, the care and support of all staff and management have been wonderful. We feel hugely relieved that we are leaving our mother in such caring, supportive hands. We look forward to developing relationships with all the staff at Parkview.
I have found Park View extremely professional and the staff are very caring of my aunt.
My mum has not been here long but so far I am okay with her care.
The home is clean and efficiently run. Staff are generally polite and prepared to respond to the needs of residents. A particular strength is the attempt to provide activities for the residents to keep their minds active.
Parkview House Care Home provides a caring environment. My mother-in-law's physical needs are well provided for. She is allowed to take meals and to get up and retire at her own convenience. My mother in law does not take much advantage of the activities provided and we feel she could be encouraged to do this although ultimately this is her own choice. Her one complaint is that the tea is too weak!
Room for lots of improvements.
I do feel the care, carers and kindness of the staff has greatly improved over the last 6-8 months, and in the last 3 months is even better. All the staff are good now and not just some of them.
The entertainment and interaction with residents is much, much better and long may it continue.
Mum is generally happy with her care. She says how nice and clean it is. Mums pleased and satisfied with her care - she has no complaints.
Very nice home for your loved ones.
Very kind and caring staff. Nicely decorated inside and out. Clean rooms and personal items allowed on walls. Plenty of flowers and a pleasant garden. Various activities are offered to residents of the home and also outside. Good medical care is given - access to doctors and district nurse, hairdresser, chiropodist, and a head massage is all available. Day rooms are well laid out and not too crowded.
