Riverview Lodge, in the Kingsbury area of London, is well-equipped to achieve excellent residential and residential dementia care for 36 residents in en suite accommodation. The home is located next to a church and has a lovely view overlooking a stream from the well tended garden.

The home prides itself on providing a homely, safe environment and ensures residents and their families are at the centre of everything as are its core values of dignity and respect.

The interior has been purpose-built to suit the challenges of both residents and carers, with quality furnishings and communal areas to contribute to a pleasant social atmosphere.

Residents enjoy a varied activity schedule prepared by the Activity Coordinator which includes arts and crafts, gardening, baking and armchair exercises. The on site hair salon is perfect for a spot of pampering and if residents prefer some quiet time, they can relax in the sensory garden and reminiscence room.

I love my room and the activities I enjoy doing the exercise sessions and bingo. I also enjoy live events organised by activities. The staff are friendly and supportive. I would prefer more variety in the evening meal.

My wife is a resident in Honrysuckle Unit since August 2023.
I visit daily and I am very pleased to witness the care and attention that the care staff provide.
I always feel welcome by the care staff, they are friendly and approachable.
They form me if they have any concerns.
My wife is well cared
for in all aspects.

Lovely activities with the residents. All the team were so wonderful.

My sister is cared for in Honeysuckle Unit.
The care staff are very attentive and genuinely care for my sister. On visits we have observed that care staff show interest in each individual resident.
We experience a welcoming and friendly atmosphere when we visit.
We feel reassured that my sister
is well cared for. This means so much for family in coming to terms with the changes and loss of independence that Alzheimer's disease has caused for my lovely sister.

My Mom was at Riverview Lodge for 20 months until her passing. I live overseas and visit every 3 months.
The staff were excellent with my Mom's care and helped her enjoy all the activities. They were also good with their communication with me.

It's a wonderful home. Lovely carers and excellent management and the activities are wonderful. I go on trips to the local garden centre and walks. Good food. I am happy here and I have no problems. The location of the home is good as well. The staff listens and gives me respect and we are like a family
here.

My Mother has been extremely well cared for at Riverview Lodge since the 1st of November 2022. When breaking her hip forced a decision to no longer live independently. Her room is very pleasant with a garden view and the regular sound of birdsong coming through the window. The carers and support staff
are very good and they engage well with her in conversation as well as providing practical care. It has been wonderful that she has adjusted to calling Riverview 'her house' and 'goes home' to her room - a real tribute to the lovely atmosphere.

This is a wonderful care home where my loved one is exceptionally loved and looked after by all the staff here. I have total piece of mind that he is on the best care home and that he is always well looked after. It is clean, the meals are brilliant and the staff are wonderful. The manager is fantastic
and does a great job, helpful, caring, and most importantly understanding.

My dad is settling into Riverview really well and is very happy. He absolutely loves taking part in all the activities, especially dancing and singing. The weekly music therapy is excellent. Every single member of staff is friendly, compassionate, and caring towards Dad and us as a family. We know that
Dad is getting the best care from the staff and is very well looked after, giving us peace of mind. Every time we visit the staff all make us feel at home and so welcome and ensure we are updated on how he is doing. The staff have taken the time to get to know Dad and ensure that they play on his strengths. Thank you so much for the wonderful home you provide.

My father-in-law joined Riverview Lodge in February 2024. And all I can say is, that his daughter and I cannot praise the home enough.
The staff are caring and treat him with respect.
Nothing is too much trouble.
And they keep us up to date with any problems.

The home really does make every effort to promote quality of life and personal choice for the residents. Mum was encouraged to join in social activities such as keep-fit and music sessions. The food is all home-cooked, the best quality and plentiful!
Sadly, Mum was at the home for less than two months.
After a short hospital admission, the manager was more than willing to make the urgent arrangements needed for her to return from the hospital to Riverview Lodge for palliative care.
In her last week, the home allowed me to stay with her as much as I wanted. I was made to feel extraordinarily welcome.
During those last days, I experienced the amazing warmth, kindness and generosity of all the wonderful staff, from the cleaners to the carers and the manager. They took as much care of me as they did of Mum. It felt like being hugged in a warm blanket of kindness and love. I can't say more; it's just an oasis of love in Northwest London. Thank you, Riverview Lodge!

Our mother attended Riverview Lodge in July 2023, which was arranged at very short notice. The manager accepted Mum's respite for the 2-week stay.
On arrival, we were met by the deputy manager.
The staff and other residents were ever so welcoming and friendly and made Mum feel at ease. This was reassuring
for myself and sister. During Mum's stay, she interacted with different activities, which was great and brought out her social skills.
We were both very pleased with the overall care that Mum received at Riverview Lodge.

This was our second visit to Riverview Lodge. Firstly, let me compliment the staff for their attentiveness and friendly attitude. This care/residential home provided a supportive and nurturing atmosphere, ensuring my mother felt safe and cared for while I took a well deserved break. The only negative
is the lengthy assessment, which could have been made shorter if the original assessment taken a few months back was made available. However, in conclusion a health check is imperative and overall I was satisfied with the services provided.
