Riverview Lodge

My dad is settling into Riverview really well and is very happy. He absolutely loves taking part in all the activities, especially dancing and singing. The weekly music therapy is excellent. Every single member of staff is friendly, compassionate, and caring towards Dad and us as a family. We know that Dad is getting the best care from the staff and is very well looked after, giving us peace of mind. Every time we visit the staff all make us feel at home and so welcome and ensure we are updated on how he is doing. The staff have taken the time to get to know Dad and ensure that they play on his strengths. Thank you so much for the wonderful home you provide.

And they keep us up to date with any problems.

My mother has settled very happily at Riverview Lodge. She now sees it as "home". That is very good progress given this is the first experience she has of being cared for.

I have seen her after she has been returned from hospital after she had a chest infection.

During those last days, I experienced the amazing warmth, kindness and generosity of all the wonderful staff, from the cleaners to the carers and the manager. They took as much care of me as they did of Mum. It felt like being hugged in a warm blanket of kindness and love. I can't say more; it's just an oasis of love in Northwest London. This was our second visit to Riverview Lodge. Firstly, let me compliment the staff for their attentiveness and friendly attitude. This care/residential home provided a supportive and nurturing atmosphere, ensuring my mother felt safe and cared for while I took a well deserved break. The only negative is the lengthy assessment, which could have been made shorter if the original assessment taken a few months back was made available. However, in conclusion a health check is imperative and overall I was satisfied with the services provided.

I would like to give my sincere thank you to every member of staff from the manager to care workers, cooks, and cleaners who have worked hard together as a family. My mum is very happy and they made her feel at home. All my family are so proud of choosing MHA Riverview Lodge.

Riverview Lodge is a very friendly place, they try very hard to make the residents feel comfortable. The staff are good and I will recommend this home to anyone and everyone. The team are very friendly here and my mother-in-law is happy.

I would not hesitate to use this service again.

The manager of the service is helpful and always attentive to what meets the needs of the residents and the home.

All staff from the manager, deputy manager, nurses and care assistants were kind and helpful. Some problems with the provision of medication but this was sorted out. There appears to be no provision for activity at this home (I think the member of staff responsibly had left) Staff were willing to walk mum to the garden and to help mum phone home.

Some staff are dedicated and committed, while others are pretty unhelpful and do not respond to caring needs. Also, lack of staffing and agency staff used. Grounds are delightful, which attracted us to the home. Laundry can be a muddle.

In the years she was there we got to know some of the staff really well as there is a low turnover which I feel shows how the MHA look after their staff as well as the residents.

My beloved mum was a resident of Riverview Lodge for just over seven years. All the staff and carers treated her with respect and love. She kept her dignity. Everyone gave her the best care she could have been given and I am so grateful for that. All were very attentive to her and although I visited mum regularly, they kept in regular touch with me by phone. I couldn't have asked for better care. My heartfelt thanks to all at Riverview Lodge which will always have a special place in my heart.

Riverview Care Home is one of the best I have seen so far. The staff are professional in how they look after the residents yet friendly at the same time. Having worked as a nurse and a social worker from my observation the residents are cared for well and are treated with respect and dignity. I would not hesitate in recommending Riverview Care Home to anyone who wishes to send their loved ones there. Thank you all for the care you do for my mum.

Our mother spent just three weeks of respite here at the Riverview Lodge from the end of August-September 2021. She settled very quickly and the staff made every effort to make her feel at home. My brother and I were very touched by the kindness and care given to our mother who has progressive dementia. The staff and the carers were helpful, supportive, very understanding and accommodating - the atmosphere in the home is happy and cheerful, and calm and peaceful when needed. The care was everything we hoped for and also made us feel very welcome, and our mother has returned home a different person, her confidence and self-esteem has been boosted by her short stay. Our mum has been in Riverview Lodge since June 2019 and she thinks the Lodge is her home now. She appears to be settled nicely. She has a lovely room overlooking the garden and is always kept clean. Staff are friendly, welcoming and usually available to discuss any issues I may have in regards to mum’s health or needs. Mum was admitted to the hospital during the pandemic and we had very limited contact. When mum was released from the hospital we had no idea of mum conditioned. She was not being able to speak, hold a cup of water and feed herself. She came out of the hospital with bedsores. The senior care assistant and the manager were brilliant. The manager and senior care assistance took control of the situation; co-ordinate with the GP, arranging for a suitable bed as she is bedridden. Through the care and compassion, the manager, senior care assistant and the team has provided to mum. She is now able to feed herself and is content and cheerful. The team is our extended family.
