My mother spent eight weeks in Spring Lane for rehab following a fall. She had a lovely, clean and comfortable room and particularly liked seeing the trees outside her window. She was very well cared for, and it was helpful that she had a specified key member of staff who I could always talk to about
her welfare. There was a full programme of interesting activities, which I thought was an outstanding feature of this care home. Mum enjoyed many of them and joined in with something every day. I was made to feel welcome, and whenever I visited, there was a calm and well-organised feel to the place. When I visited, to collect some of her things in the pre-breakfast period, one day, the residents were sitting in the main lounge listening to some classical music - this was lovely for mum. The reception staff were wonderful, and they knew Mum and were always willing to sort out any query, however small. Mum made a full recovery and didn't want to leave when the time came.

Spring Lane has been a wonderful place for my father to have his rehab. All the staff are wonderful, from the welcome at reception from the receptionist to the management. He has been well cared for and he's enjoyed joining in with the exercise activities. I can highly recommend Spring Lane for your
loved one to come for either a short or long stay. Wonderful place.

My mother unexpectedly joined Spring Lane in July 2022. Her stay was relatively short, but during that time, we found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful in settling her in. The communication between the administrative staff was very good, and nothing was too much trouble during the transition
period. The rooms are spacious, and everywhere is spotless. There is a very pleasant garden where visitors can enjoy the surroundings when visiting a relative. I have nothing but praise for all the staff and would not hesitate in recommending Spring Lane care home.

My father joined Spring Lane in February 2022. We moved him from Bristol to be nearer us in London because he was becoming increasingly frail. The whole experience of moving was dealt with extremely well, and Dad soon settled down to his new life on the fourth floor. Sadly Dad died peacefully in his
sleep in June, aged almost 101.
Dad wasn't at Springlane for long, but it was a happy and contented time for him. Staff were, without exception, kind, attentive and professional. Communication on administrative matters was also excellent. Dad's recent death was dealt with in a sensitive and extremely considerate manner.
I will always be grateful to the staff at Spring Lane for their excellent care of Dad. It means a lot. Thank you to all you lovely, kind and devoted people.

Spring Lane has been amazing at making the experience of putting a loved member of the family into care. Mum has a lovely welcome, and she has really settled. Visits are not planned - when we go to see Mum, she is relaxed, happy and well looked after. The staff are very caring and lovely - we are delighted.

This is the best possible place for my dad! The staff, from admissions to reception staff, are so friendly and are always happy to answer questions, tweak care and make my father feel happy and welcome. They offer a range of daily activities, like art or music therapy. The staff always have a smile
on their faces and support the residents to do as much or as little as they choose. What a wonderful place!

My mother, who has Alzheimer's, moved into Spring Lane two weeks ago. She has seemed very content from the beginning on lots of different levels. Her room is clean and spacious; she has a lovely view, the staff are kind and considerate, the food is of an excellent standard and there is always something
going on in the main foyer where the residents like to sit. My mother enjoys sitting and watching people coming and going, and it feels like she is part of a community there. The management is highly experienced, has been there a long time and really knows what they are doing. There is also a lovely garden at the back of the home where I like to sit with my mum when I visit. We did have reservations before she moved in about whether a home would be right for her, but not anymore - she is really content, and it was the right decision for her. I would highly recommend Spring Lane.

My sister was moved to this home when she was very ill and had not walked for a very long period.
I was surprised to be told that they would get her walking (with a walking trolley) in a few weeks.
She certainly can now walk confidently around the home.
The staff are always happy to discuss the
resident's welfare and progress
She had several bouts of illness, and doctors and paramedics were brought in very quickly.
Visitors always feel welcome here, and the home is beautifully clean.
My sister enjoys visiting the small garden, which is a riot of colourful flowers.
There is a very high standard of care here, and I know my sister is being cared for more than adequately.

The staff at Spring Lane have had such a difficult job during these last two years of pandemic and are to be commended for their patience and hard work during this period.
My relative has many physical and psychological frailties, and yet, on the whole, I feel he has been looked well looked after.
Most staff are able to deal with people with mental health needs, but some need more training in this aspect.
The manager leads her team very well, and the home has clear rules that keep things running efficiently, smoothly and safely, and yet, there is flexibility when needed. There is good communication through the excellent reception, and staff always respond quickly to contact requests.
The location is good with buses, shops and cafés nearby. There is a small but adequate garden and easy car parking.
It would be nice to see the lounge enlarged into the wasted frontage space so that residents can view the outside world even when they can’t get out.

My grandparents were both residents of Spring Lane and had good care. The second-floor team particularly were all so kind and caring. The chef was fantastic, upon serving the food, he would wave at everyone, which was such a highlight for my grandma! The food always delicious, and families were offered
to eat as well. The dining hall staff were so kind too, sherry and canape time always a hit! Over Covid, I have been helping one resident who we have stayed in touch with, and every time been delighted to see the carers I knew remembered me by name, recount memories of my grandparents and ask after my family. I've also been staying in touch with Spring Lane with my work hat on; we managed to include Spring Lane in our churches advent windows display so that local people could go to wave at the residents and see a beautiful window display!

My mother was a resident of Spring Lane for about five years until her passing in May 2020. During all those years, as a regular visitor, my experience was of caring staff and indeed the support team around them. More importantly, my mother was content to be in their care.
I could not fault the staffs'
attitude towards the residents and would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who might ask me.

I've been visiting my friend for many years. I find all staff/managers friendly, and nothing is too much for them. Excellent service and my friend is happy with her food and menu choices. Every day they cater for every need; she also enjoys her daily activities. I'll recommend this home to all my family

Never met such wonderful carers in my life. Have felt so much at ease since my mother has been a resident at Spring Lane. I will have no worries recommending the home to anyone. The home manager and staff are very friendly.

I began my career in care when I was 16 via volunteering at the local older people’s lunch club. I knew from this time that I wanted to pursue a career in care and took a role as a carer for adults with learning disabilities whilst continuing with my volunteering role. When I moved to London I had the wonderful opportunity of being able to do a modern apprenticeship in a care home for older people. I knew straight away that I had found the ideal job for me.

I am passionate about ensuring people are cared for in the way they want, that promotes and enables them to live life as they would to choose to.

I have worked in various care homes in the charitable, local authority and private sector. I have been working at Spring Lane since 2013 and have never looked back, I have progressed from Carer to Unit Manager. Spring Lane really has a home-from-home atmosphere and a caring community spirit.

“I was a late joining the nursing profession and after a career in chemical manufacturing/processing, I decided to retrain as a registered nurse.


During my nurse training, I worked regular shifts as a care assistant in various care homes to both enhance my skills and support my family.


In 2008, I finally qualified as a registered nurse and worked on an acute medical ward, completed my preceptorship and built on my nursing skills and knowledge.


Although I enjoyed my time in a hospital ward, I missed the ‘community’ within a care home and decided to devote my career to supporting people who live in care homes, joining Springdene Group in 2014.


I am proud to work for Springdene Nursing and Care Homes, especially as staff, are committed to bringing joy and enrichment to residents' lives, and how each home has a unique identity and resident community.”
