Always greeted with a smile by the staff. We often arrive unannounced and always find her clean, well-dressed, and content. The staff knows her likes and dislikes. We feel that she is well cared for and her needs are met. We are delighted with all of the activities.

Loving staff and not just caring. I can tell they go the extra mile. Encouragement with soft nature is the right kind of motivation my mom needs. A clear eye for her wellness is much appreciated. My mom is fussy and has her own ways but the girls and the others support my mum and treat her.

We can't fault the love and care our mother has had during the nine years she has spent at Rosedale. We would like to give our thanks to all the staff at this lovely home.

Dad is very happy and settled at Rosedale, and he feels that the staff treat him with dignity and respect. He looks clean and well looked after, and the staff let me know if he needs anything special or different getting. Overall, a very good first impression of a well-run care home.

Dad spent his last few years there and was happy and extremely well cared for. They had the utmost patience with him and, even in his final days when he didn't know his family, he would always smile when the staff spoke to him. They showed him nothing but care and compassion and the house felt just like a big family, with plenty of varied activities that the residents could participate in.

Rosedale Care Home is a home from home for its residents. The care staff know their residents and personalisation and individualised care is evident. The manager and all the team provide the highest quality care with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect for the residents' individual needs. They do their jobs with humour and empathy and it is very clear that the caring role is more than a job to them. There is a calmness and sereneness to this home. The staff tailor activities to residents' needs and lives. Grandad was exceptionally happy and cared for here. I would not hesitate to recommend this safe, homely, person-centred home for your loved ones.

Overall Experience

My father was on respite for six nights in May 2022. Prior to his visit, I wanted to 'check out' the home and make sure it was suitable for his needs. The residents I saw looked clean and happy. I spoke to various members of staff who answered any queries I had at the time. Dad enjoyed his stay so much he wanted to stay longer, unfortunately, they did not have space for him. I mentioned to the staff that if any day/week became available I knew Dad would love to come back. Six months later a space became available and Dad is currently in respite for two weeks - today he told me he would like to stay a little longer as he is enjoying himself so much. He loves the food, and the attention and kindness shown to him by all members of staff. When I go on holiday shortly I will not have to worry about Dad as he will be in safe hands. If you get the opportunity for an elderly relative to stay in this home, I would totally recommend this.

Review from Caroline W (Friend of Resident) published on 16 December 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Rosedale Care Home staff are very kind and caring towards their clients - I accompanied my 96-year-old friend who is a resident for almost two years to the hospital for a routine hospital appointment. The staff member who came with us showed great professionalism. My friend laughed and chatted and enjoyed the day out - thanks to the staff who are encouraging and caring.

My friend is happy there and I am pleased with her care.

Visits are well organised - my friend always looks lovely and clean and in good spirits. Whilst she has mobility and memory problems she has settled in well. Her room is lovely - I know she enjoys her meals and the communication between family and care home is excellent.

I have been staying here for just over three months. While staying here the staff have looked after me very well and treated me like family. My room is very comfortable and I have everything I need. The food is good. I enjoy the company of other residents. I look forward to being pampered i.e. hair and nails. I would like to thank the staff for all their care in these very difficult times.

From day one when my uncle was admitted the staff were brilliant. So when my aunt needed a care home there was no hesitation in coming to Rosedale Care Home. She is so happy there and the staff are just lovely people. Rooms are lovely - accommodation is very homely.

Mum only came to Rosedale in January 2020, so up until the point where we were able to visit. We were very happy with her care but obviously Covid-19 we have been unable to see her. But the care home was very good throughout the summer months as we were able to visit in the garden. Since then, we have not been able to visit but we ring and the staff keep us updated. Mum also has dementia.
