Staff are amazing and so caring for mum. Occasionally the food can be hit and miss depending on what staff are on. A bit noisy at the moment for the room refirbishments, but understandable. Mums room especially the bathroom are very dated. Repairs can take a while to complete. Overall the staff make Donnington special.

The staff are always friendly and very helpful. I am kept informed when my sister is unwell or had a fall and get regular updated by phone. If there is an assessment to be carried out I would like to know in advance so that I can attend but I am usually informed of the outcome. Overall I am very happy with my sister's care. My grandma is extremely well looked after, she is happy and very comfortable. The food is gorgeous and the variety as good as most hotels if not better. I've regularly lunched here. Fresh vegetables every time it makes me happy to see how well Grandma is looked after and the other residents. Thank you.

Meet the Team (1)

My name is Tania and I am the home manager at The Donnington.
I started at The Donnington as a care assistant in 2007. I went on to complete my NVQ3 and soon became a team leader and subsequently, a medication trained senior carer. I then became deputy manager and after 5 years in that role and gaining my assistant practitioner diploma level 5, I became the home manager.
I have worked in care for many years. When I was younger and at school, we used to visit a care home and do activities with the residents - that’s when I knew I wanted to work in care and make a career working with older adults.
I enjoy working in care as I love seeing the difference we make to our residents' days. It makes me happy to see the residents smile and I enjoy listening to their life stories. At The Donnington, we have an amazing team of staff.
I am married and I have a cat called TJ. I have a keen interest in classic cars, and I own a 1950 Triumph 1300FWD, called Bluebell. My husband and I attend many car shows around the south area. I also have a passion for the sea, and I love nothing better than going to the coast and sitting by the sea with a coffee.
I live about 5 mins away from the Donnington, so I am always to hand when the staff need me.
