My mum is well cared for and the staff are friendly and efficient.
I have had very good care, and the staff are very, very good. The food is good, but if you can't eat the food, the chef will come and see you to help sort out something new, so you can have something to eat. Then, they do a new menu for you.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to hear the chef is so accommodating to any special requests. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

Due to the current times, we have not been able to go inside. The care we have had good porch visits and the staff have been wonderful. We feel happy and content with our Mums care; she's settled and happy.
Thank you for sharing your kind feedback with us; we really appreciate it. We're pleased to hear that your Mum has settled in well with us.
Mum has settled into The Donnington really well. Although we have had some very pleasant visits in the porch, we are all Covid friendly. The staff are all lovely and friendly, and cannot do enough for Mum and the family.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased your Mum has settled well into our home. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do for you and your family.
Satisfactory taking into the fact that we are all coping with the period of lockdown and are unable to have precious contact with our close families. I fully appreciate this is beyond the control of any given reason other than the coronavirus restrictions, which affect us all.
Thank you for your understanding during this incredibly difficult time. We appreciate how hard it must be for you to not be able to spend valuable time with your loved ones. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to help.

Meet the Team (1)

My name is Tania and I am the home manager at The Donnington.
I started at The Donnington as a care assistant in 2007. I went on to complete my NVQ3 and soon became a team leader and subsequently, a medication trained senior carer. I then became deputy manager and after 5 years in that role and gaining my assistant practitioner diploma level 5, I became the home manager.
I have worked in care for many years. When I was younger and at school, we used to visit a care home and do activities with the residents - that’s when I knew I wanted to work in care and make a career working with older adults.
I enjoy working in care as I love seeing the difference we make to our residents' days. It makes me happy to see the residents smile and I enjoy listening to their life stories. At The Donnington, we have an amazing team of staff.
I am married and I have a cat called TJ. I have a keen interest in classic cars, and I own a 1950 Triumph 1300FWD, called Bluebell. My husband and I attend many car shows around the south area. I also have a passion for the sea, and I love nothing better than going to the coast and sitting by the sea with a coffee.
I live about 5 mins away from the Donnington, so I am always to hand when the staff need me.
