Clara Court is a welcoming 'outstanding'-rated care home (March 2019) where a passionate and highly trained team provides quality residential, dementia and respite care for older people.

The purpose-built home has its own hair salon, café and a vintage-themed lounge, plus other shared lounges and activity spaces.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My mother-in-law first came to Clara Court following a period of hospitalisation. From the beginning, my wife and I were impressed by the care shown by all staff. This was evident in the way that they spoke, the way they listened and responded to my mother-in-law's needs. She was anxious but immediately
reassured. One of her favourite phrases now is "I'm very happy here." She has enjoyed the activities provided and when taken out is always keen to make sure that she is back in time for lunch or tea! The staff have also been very patient and helpful in dealing with us as we adjust to "Mum" being in a care home. A big thank you to all the staff.

Mum (and us her family) are very lucky that Mum has a place at Clara Court. After a very difficult time, to our huge relief, Mum's settled very quickly and is much happier. The help that both Mum and we had in the transition from hospital to Clara Court was fabulous. The team at Clara Court have helped
both Mum and us, her family, enormously. Mum gets to do lots of activities, is putting on weight and she says she’s no longer lonely. The team at Clara Court have enabled this.

Over recent years particularly the Care home industry in the UK has come under severe scrutiny and as an outsider to the service it would be unfair to comment as to whether the scrutiny was justified or not.


During visits to dear friends placed in Clara Court (at different periods and ongoing) since

the end of March this year, what is very clear and totally justified is the praise and appreciation for the care, understanding, support, gentleness and friendliness shown to myself and other friends who visit Clara Court to keep in touch with our friends.


From the reception staff on entering and leaving to all personnel providing the atmosphere and support to the professional management of the Home we and our friends are made to feel important and that somebody cares and listens to the needs of our friends.


The caring approach and attitude speaks volumes for Clara Court and should be admired throughout the industry.

I visited many similar care homes for my auntie, father and mother-in-law so can be confident in saying Clara Court was by far the best for all-around performance. The staff are always understanding and as flexible as possible during difficult times. It is a nice feeling to know the care received is
of the highest quality and the environment is safe.
This is not always easy to achieve so well done to all the staff.

As a family, we were so apprehensive and scared of placing our very precious mum/nanny into a care home but we did not need to be with Clara Court. All of the staff have been amazing, they are patient, kind, considerate and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble to enable our mum to settle in her
new home. We now feel part of a very large Clara Court family. We could not have done it without all their support. Thank you.

Mum is very well looked after by caring staff. Staff very welcoming to visitors. If you have any concerns they will sort it out straight away. Good fresh home cooked food for the residents served in a lovely little room. Wouldn't want Mum to be in any other care home. Very satisfied.

My mother, who has advanced dementia moved into Clara Court in February. From day one, I have been supremely impressed with the wonderful staff and level of care shown to her.
Everyone has treated her with compassion and dignity at all times.
The facilities, activities and her room are wonderful.

My aunt spent the last two years of her life at Clara Court and was very happy there. She blossomed in her time there, gaining in independence and confidence and finding a new freedom within this sheltered and secure environment, enabling her to do so many new things with the enthusiastic activity team.
All
the staff have good personal knowledge of the residents and are all supportive and caring. The staff have also been very helpful to us, the family, and could not have done more for all of us.

Clara Court has been a warm and welcoming sanctuary since I first stepped over the threshold.


The staff are all caring and helpful and my mother settled in so quickly due in no small part to the friendly atmosphere created by the caring staff. It is a pleasure to visit my mum at Clara Court.

Generally very happy. Staff are caring and alert to any potential problems. Home seems clean and well decorated. Plenty of activities provided (even if my mother chooses not to participate!)

Clara Court is the best possible place for my wife, who suffers from dementia. She is well looked after, kept clean, is fed well and at all times seems to be happy enough with that condition.
The staff and carers are so patient and caring under a good management and so well run.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’ve been at Clara Court since 2009, when I joined the team as a care assistant. I joined because Care UK has a clear vision for older people’s care which I believe in. I’m also passionate about providing high quality care and I want to make a difference to the lives of the people we care for.


Another rewarding part of my role is empowering colleagues to ensure that residents live their lives in the way they want. I enjoy engaging and motivating colleagues and seeing them develop and succeed.


Each day is different in this role. I enjoy having the chance to continue learning and developing my skills, and I love spending time with residents, supporting them to continue to live happy and fulfilling lives.
