Clara Court is a welcoming 'outstanding'-rated care home (March 2019) where a passionate and highly trained team provides quality residential, dementia and respite care for older people.

The purpose-built home has its own hair salon, café and a vintage-themed lounge, plus other shared lounges and activity spaces.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

As a friend of a resident at Clara Court I have been visiting for four years now and every single visit has made me so grateful that my friend is in the hands of the most professional and genuinely caring staff. The facilities allow residents to enjoy activities and interaction with others promoting
a very friendly and almost family-like environment and I know although my friend has lost capacity to know who we are now, he remains happy cared for and loved by all the staff.


Clara Court is immaculately clean, the food and facilities are first class, I would highly recommend this care home to anyone having the unfortunate task of procuring the right environment for their loved one, whether for a short term or long term stay.

My auntie has been a resident in Clara Court for three years. The staff have been very kind, thoughtful and friendly. She always looks nice and clean. She enjoyed the activities. Food is good. What a friendly and welcoming environment.

My mum is living in Clara Court, She is happy and content. She looks forward to the activities, food. The staff lovely, polite and always greet you and they know who are. The home is always clean and nothing is ever too trouble.

My nan has been to Clara Court for respite, I am very impressed with the care she is receiving. Staff are very friendly and the residents look happy. There is always activities going on and choices are offered to all living in the home. The home is lovely and clean.

I have been associated with Clara Court for over a year now, firstly my wife used to come here for respite care several times a year and since June 2017 came as a permanent resident but unfortunately she passed away at the end of August 2017. Since her death, the management have invited me for lunch
as and when I needed which I am very grateful for. I may add the care that was given to my wife was second to none and the staff have made me feel welcome when I come to lunch.

Although mum was only a resident at Clara Court for a short period of four weeks I was extremely satisfied with the care that she received. All members of the team at Clara Court treated mum with utmost respect thus maintaining her dignity.
As mum entered Clara Court at very short notice the staff
and management all helped significantly to get her settled in very quickly and were mindful of her dietary requirements following a short illness. I would have no hesitation in recommending Clara Court. Thank you so much for making her visit/stay so comfortable.

I live in Wales and am limited to the time I can visit my dad. Every time we do visit the staff are extremely helpful. We are offered tea as soon as we arrive. My dad is always clean and tidy unfortunately he is unable to walk or communicate with people but this does not stop the staff talking to him
and they always get a smile from him. I cannot thank the staff and management for the care they give to my dad. Thank you so very much.

My father was found a respite bed at Clara Court as my mother could no longer care for him at home. The room is spacious and bright, all the staff are professional and caring, and everyone here has helped our family far beyond expectations. We are 100% satisfied with Clara Court and it's staff.

My father was treated with the utmost respect and with dignity. The staff he couldn't fault. Dad did not like the food too many sandwiches which he does not enjoy and said the food was bland. Also, tea was served far too early and he was hungry by 7 o'clock again. If dad comes in for respite again,
I'd like him to be with residents that can hold a conversation. Even though dad has early dementia, I feel this became worse when he was in as he had no one apart from the wonderful staff to have a conversation with.

My mum has been in Clara Court for over two years and during that time her care has been above excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff from the management to the cleaner and everyone between. She suffers from dementia and some days and nights are more difficult but at all times, she is
treated with love, patience, care, respect and dignity. She has come back to health and eats all the excellent food at 99 years of age. Thank you, everyone, for all you do for us. It is reassuring to know she is receiving the best care and when visiting always seems happy.

Clara Court has become a familiar home from home for short residential respite periods for my husband. He is always welcomed and well looked after. Carers spend time and chat with him as well as look after his needs. This time the activities coordinator deserves a special mention for taking the time
to visit my husband in his room to discuss the daily social activities and encouraging him to get involved. Cards were a particular favourite, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our thanks to all the team at Clara Court.

My Mum was in Clara Court for nine years and was very well looked after. Her carers had built a special bond with her which gave us so much confidence that she was well cared for. It did not matter what ever time we turned up they made us very welcome with Tea and biscuits. The activities for the residents
were extremely good with
outings as well. Mum had a very good appetite and all the meals provided looked very good. We had looked at four homes before we settled with Clara Court as the first impression was outstanding which made our decision to put Mum into care easier. I recommend Clara Court to anyone that is in the same position as we were. And a very
big thank you to everyone that made Mums remaining years happy ones.

My mother is very happy in Clara Court and is well cared for 24/7. She enjoys her food and amuses herself during the day. Although not very sociable, she does have the opportunity of musing with other residents.

Clara Court is a friendly and welcoming care home. All the staff are approachable and have been very helpful with any questions or requests. Visitors are welcomed by name and encouraged to join in with the many activities on offer. Rooms are spacious and clean with many personal touches. There are beautiful
well kept gardens with lots of seating areas and pet rabbits. Mum talks about the lovely food and home made cakes and tea. She described Clara Court as " like a ten star hotel."

A clean, comfortable and welcoming residence which is most helpful at a very difficult time. It's very impressive how much effort the staff make to get to know the new residents and their family, even remembering names of individuals when we visit.
They are patient with our enquiries and professional
in their approach. There is an air of calm around the facility which is clearly felt by the residents and reflected in their demeanour.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’ve been at Clara Court since 2009, when I joined the team as a care assistant. I joined because Care UK has a clear vision for older people’s care which I believe in. I’m also passionate about providing high quality care and I want to make a difference to the lives of the people we care for.


Another rewarding part of my role is empowering colleagues to ensure that residents live their lives in the way they want. I enjoy engaging and motivating colleagues and seeing them develop and succeed.


Each day is different in this role. I enjoy having the chance to continue learning and developing my skills, and I love spending time with residents, supporting them to continue to live happy and fulfilling lives.
