We are so pleased with Cherry Tree House and the excellent staff. The small number of residents mean that residents get tailored individual care. We are particularly pleased with the range of exercises and well-being activities on offer. As others have said the quality of food is excellent. Visitors are made very welcome at any time of day which is so convenient and dogs are welcome too!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you've been made to feel so welcome - this is exactly what we strive for so it's wonderful to hear your experience.
My father had several falls at home but was reluctant to move to a care home however the staff have done everything they can to help him settle in and encourage him to join daily activities and be part of the Cherry Tree House community.
I'm so glad we found such a lovely place for him to be cared for.
Thank you so much for your kind review - we love it when we manage to turn it around when someone is feeling apprehensive about the move at first! He is a pleasure to have in our home and Cherry Tree House community.
I can't begin to express how grateful I am to Abi, Megan and all the wonderful carers at Cherry Tree house. My Dad after a couple of falls and being in hospital was placed with them for respite care. As soon as he arrived, the staff couldn't do enough for him and me. It was so emotional to finally see him being so looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff treated my lovely Dad with upmost respect and dignity. They were so caring and friendly and the warmth from this wonderful cosy home hits you as soon as you go through the front door. The assessment process my Dad received was amazing and so professional. The food was excellent and real home cooking. My Dad was a fussy eater but lapped it up. Unfortunately, my Dad died on the 25th January after another hospital visit but he would have returned as a permanent resident if he had recovered. I was still supported by the home whilst in hospital and I can honestly say they made his last days happy. Thank you!
Thank you for your incredibly kind words. Reviews like this mean the world to us - to know that we were able to provide comfort to both your dad and you, during such a difficult and emotional time. That's exactly why we love what we do! Your father was a pleasure to care for and it was an honour to...
Carers looking after the 'resident family' are good listeners, and communication is a priority. It is good to know my friend is well taken care of. She does enjoy the variety of activities and loves the events the team organises.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are pleased to hear that you feel so positively about the care we provide to your friend and others at Cherry Tree House. We will pass your feedback onto the team.
Mum had an amazing stay with you. It was much needed respite for all of us. She was happy, relaxed and very cared for in a beautiful home environment. Even put a few pounds on. Lovely stay, definitely be returning. Thanks to all the staff there.
Thank you so much for your kind review - we are so pleased to hear that you had a positive experience. We loved having your mum stay with us and we hope to stay in touch. We wish you all the best.
Very appreciate of Cherry Tree House allowing me to volunteer for a few hours. It was a great experience and really enjoyed talking to the residents and helping (a bit) the Activity Coordinator who is excellent.
Thank you for such a lovely review of our home, and an even bigger thank you for coming to help us! Our door is always open for you if you wish to visit us again.
My mother has blossomed since being in CTH for the passed 7-8 months. The activities, particularly exercises, and creative ones like painting/drawing, and visits from the local nursery, have helped her together with the caring staff and excellent food.
Thank you, all.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so happy that your mother has thrived with us, and that the wellness activities, our team, and visits from the nursery are making a positive impact. She is a wonderful person and it's a true privilege to care for her.
The staff have been professional, kind and very supportive to mum and to the rest of our family. Such a decision is hard for everyone - not just the person going into care. But, now it is a huge relief not to be constantly worrying about mum's safety. Cherry Tree House feels like a warm, comfortable and welcoming home and every one of the staff is lovely. We are eternally grateful to Cherry Tree House for everything they have done for mum and our family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We know how difficult it can be to make the decision to move a loved one into care, and we're delighted that your mum has settled in so well - it is a true pleasure to have her! Hearing that you can see that she's healthier, happier...
Two people had independently recommended it and thank goodness they did!
From the outset, not only mum but also myself and all my family were made so welcome by all the staff, from senior to housekeeping.
By the time it came to us having to review her respite care, mum had no doubt that she wanted to make it her home as reluctant as she was when she first arrived.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff to help with mum's needs and requests.
The food was superb and freshly cooked and prepared for every meal.
At the most difficult time of her life, the offer of end of life care when mum became poorly was a great relief and she was looked after with the love and the dignity she deserved until she passed a week later.
We are eternally grateful to Cherry Tree House.
Thank you so much for such a kind review. It was a privilege and a pleasure to care for your mum and to welcome your family into Cherry Tree House. Your family reminded us why we are so passionate about what we do, and we are so grateful for your trust during such an important time. I will make...
Recent life changes for my parents have been huge, loss of independence and the balance of doing right for their care and safety, over sentiment of living at home, is a matter of difficult choices. The care home was the most vital part of that debate. My father needed respite in 2023. We had chosen Cherry Tree House for my mother after an extensive search. Settling in came with difficulties. Staff at Cherry Tree House were magnificent in making the process as good as possible. They could not have tried harder. Eventually, she accepted her stay. By the time she left, she was fully part of the Cherry Tree House family. Now the time came for both to make one of the most tough decisions of their long lives. Both are now at Cherry Tree House on a permanent basis. There were rules and regulations to follow that they hadn't been aware of since childhood. 2 months in and they are both very happy with the choices they made. That happiness comes form the massive input from Cherry Tree House. Don't ever think these decisions are easy. They are not. Cherry Tree House know how to do it best.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our team. They work so hard to make the transition as smooth as possible for both the residents and their families, and despite some of the difficulties that come with settling into a new home, it means a lot to hear that your experience was positive....
My mum went in for respite care and received excellent care and was so well looked after we extended her visit. The activities the food and the amazing staff made my mum feel very welcome. We will definitely hope to use the respite care again.
Thank you for your lovely review. We would all welcome your mum back for another stay, as she was a delightful addition to the home!
The care she received was second to none and anything she asked for, she received. Nan enjoyed the daily activities and companionship. The staff couldn't have done enough for her and they were always on hand to answer any questions I had. Nan felt safe, secure and looked after.
This has made my nan's decision a lot easier and is happy knowing that in the near future, she will take residence at Cherry Tree House. Honestly, I have never experienced such a warm and welcoming care home, that feels more like a home from home.
Thank you so much for your 5 star review! We're delighted to hear that your nan had a positive experience during her respite stay at Cherry Tree House. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of care and support, and it's wonderful to know that we could help make this important...
Thanks to all the staff, we have met over the last 2 years, for caring for my dad in his twilight years.
Thank you for sharing such a touching review about your dad's time at Cherry Tree House. We're honoured to have been a part of his life during his final years, and it means so much to hear how much he enjoyed the activities and companionship. Speaking for the whole team, we deeply appreciate your...
What a wonderful place to live! Friendly, caring staff, lovely surroundings, carefully prepared nourishing meals, and a professional dedicated team who medically and emotionally supported my step father.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I will be sure to share your review with the team. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve where you have awarded us 4/5 stars - we are keen to provide a five-star service!
Although she has only been in the home for just over a month we're extremely pleased and impressed with the way in which all staff has made her feel 'at home' and in her own words she 'couldn't ask for more'.
We're as a family reassured that she's in the care of staff who all put the residents first and have created a very warm and welcoming family home in which she is now settled and happy.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the care and that your mother is settling in so well. We aim always for residents and their families to feel reassured that everything is taken care of. In the areas that have been awarded 4 stars,...
My mother was a resident for several years, and her care throughout her time at Cherry Tree House was nothing short of remarkable. Mother entered the home almost as a recluse and really not looking after herself. We chose Cherry Tree as it was small and the staff immediately felt friendly, and they assured my brother and me that they would care for her. They kept their word and Mother thrived. She became social and we had a wonderful time being her sons and not having to be her carer, which is not really our best skill. The home and staff have always been welcoming, and we cannot speak highly enough of them.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We are honoured to have been a part of your mother's journey and are so pleased to hear how she thrived during her time with us. It means a lot to know that you and your brother had the chance to simply enjoy being her sons again. Our staff take great pride in the care they provide, and your words reaffirm why we do what we do.
It has a nice dining area, or residents can eat in their room, and the food is good. My mother is well cared for in all personal matters, including having a shower daily if she wants one. Overall, I feel Cherry Tree House provides my mother with good all-around care in a good location for our family.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the staff, home and the care we provide at Cherry Tree House. In the areas that have been awarded 4 stars, our Home Manager would be grateful for your feedback so we can hear how we can continue to improve!
Dad moved in after his former home closed. The staff made him feel very welcome right from the start and offered all sorts of help to get him settled (including hanging some of his own pictures on the walls before he moved in so it would feel familiar). He has settled in very quickly and gets on well with all the staff. Very happy with how he is being looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review - we're so pleased that he's settled in so well with us. He is a lovely and very interesting man, and we feel truly lucky to have him at Cherry Tree House!
My mother has been in Cherry Tree House for respite care and will have mixed emotions about returning home! Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly to both Mum and I throughout her stay and Mum has got on very well with all the staff who have all been so kind, caring and friendly. The home is very clean, nicely appointed and well-maintained and the managers are approachable and responsive. All staff clearly want to do the best for the residents and ensure they are happy, safe and comfortable. As a relative, I have always been made to feel very welcome and have felt 'at home' visiting Mum (particularly appreciating the offer of a drink and cake in the afternoons when I have visited)! Mum has enjoyed the wide variety of food and in particular the cakes and desserts, all cooked in-house. Overall it has been a very positive experience for us both and we are hugely grateful to the whole team for their support and care. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so happy to hear that both you and your mum have had a good experience at Cherry Tree House. It has been a true pleasure having your mum stay with us and although we are sad to see her go, we are so pleased that she is now strong enough to return to her home. We hope to stay in touch and wish you both all the best.
We are very satisfied with the care provided for our mum at Cherry Tree House, since December 2023. The staff are very caring, friendly and approachable, the home is spotless and is very well run. We could not ask for any better care for Mum, who is no longer confident to live independently. We can rest assured that she is being well cared for and is safe.
Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted to hear about your positive experience at Cherry Tree House. Your feedback is truly appreciated, and we're committed to maintaining the high standards that you've come to expect. If you ever have any suggestions or further comments, please don't...

Meet the Team (3)

My journey with Salveo Care began in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. Driven by a desire to muck in and make a difference during such a critical time, I started my career in care whilst studying for my psychology degree. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with elderly care, and I decided to pursue every opportunity to learn and progress in this field once I had finished my degree. I have a passion for high-quality care and clinical oversight, and I am dedicated to advocating for our residents and their families. Being a part of Salveo Care is incredibly rewarding as we truly care about the residents’ well-being, and we are genuinely committed to supporting and nurturing our staff team. My job, friends and family bring me immense joy in life, and I truly value these meaningful connections.

Liz has worked in the care sector for 25 years and has been with Cherry Tree House for the past 10 years. During her time here, she has been given the opportunity to study and achieve her Level 2 NVQ in Housekeeping and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.
Liz is passionate and dedicated to creating the perfect home for our residents, and will always go above and beyond to make sure we do. She loves being the first point of contact for families and making sure their experience with us is positive by being as helpful as possible.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys nothing more than exploring our local countryside with her family.

It is an honour to be Salveo Care’s nominated individual and I vow to do everything in my power to keep our residents safe and happy while they are in our care. With a degree in psychology and a passion for wellness, I love trying to find new ways of improving the quality of life for our residents. I'm determined to get the best out of my team so we can work together to make a genuine impact on individuals and the care sector as a whole, in particular focusing on the experience of elderly people. In my personal and professional life, I am open-minded and will take every opportunity to learn something new. With a fascination for human behaviour, I enjoy listening to podcasts, watching documentaries and speaking to different people. Aside from this, I love being a mum and finding creative outlets and I am truly happiest when hosting and helping people.
