Cherry Tree House is situated in a beautiful residential road about a quarter of a mile from the centre of Wendover. The home is uniquely placed to offer a warm friendly atmosphere with a lovely lounge and conservatory, opening onto patios and level gardens where residents can enjoy the surroundings.

It is their philosophy to continually improve and to make each resident's stay as comfortable as possible. Cherry Tree House observes and maintains all residents' rights of independence, dignity and privacy within the community of the home.

My mother recently spent two weeks at Cherry Tree House for respite. The care she received was exemplary. Our initial meeting with the manager was extremely well led and informative and the follow on assessment by the manager was thorough and allayed mum's fears about going into respite. The welcome
we received was warm and genuine. Mum thoroughly enjoyed the food, the many varied activities and the cheerful disposition of all the staff. In the end, she wished she could stay and that is the biggest compliment ever.

Since joining the home at the beginning of the year, I settled in very quickly and found the home very comfortable and airy. The staff are very kind and efficient. Overall, extremely good and I feel like part of the lovely family unit here.

My Mother in law originally came to Cherry Trees a year ago for respite while we were on holiday.
The care and attention she received were excellent and due to her dementia, we decided to make it her permanent residence.
The home is small and welcoming with a family feel.
The staff are always happy
to help and deal with any questions that may arise.
They regularly put on events for charity which the residents and families enjoy together.

My mum is very well looked after. Always warm, well fed and very comfortable. The 'in house' activities are varied and there is a homely atmosphere. The care staff are always available and extremely cheerful and friendly. I probably could not have chosen a better care home.

I am happy here being well looked after. I am relieved that staff, at my request, do not check on my well-being during the night. It used to wake me up and it took quite a while to get back to sleep afterwards.
I always take the "caller" to bed with me (not actually in the bed but on the desk beside
it) in case I need help in the night.

I have been on respite care at Cherry Tree House since end of October 2018. The care and help that I have received has been excellent, with the staff being attentive, friendly and helpful where needed. The facilities are good and the daily activities are a great way to socialise with other residents.


The

food is good, though more of a choice would be nice and it could be hotter - my porridge was cold this morning! And my bedroom is small but perfectly comfortable with its own toilet and basin.


There is one small thing that I have noticed which should be updated. In one of the shower rooms, I note that the floor is tiled and when the shower is on, it gets very slippery, which to me is a very real hazard. To avoid slipping, you have to put towels on the floor.


I would definitely recommend Cherry Trees as a very nice, comfortable place to stay, it’s small (20) which means you get to see and know everyone, including all the staff.

From when I was looking for a home for mum, Cherry Tree House stood out from the rest. The staff are caring, friendly and approachable. They listen and act where appropriate when, as a family, we may have concerns with mum's health. They all have endless patience. It always has a lovely happy atmosphere.

My mother was very happy with her experience and we were very satisfied with the care she received. Most of it depends on the staff and they were all excellent. It was very comfortable and warm and we wouldn't hesitate to come back if the need arose. If I had a criticism it would be that the food was

Everyone at Cherry Tree House makes mum feel at home and I am appreciative of all that the Manager and her team do to support both mum and me. Cherry Tree House has a very homely feel, the lounge is nicely decorated and the bright pink and turquoise armchairs make it a cheery place to be. Mum enjoys
the activities and is a very active resident always participating with the great team. The chef is superb and the meals are excellent and worthy of 5 stars.

The carers cannot do enough to help my mother and make her time there as pleasurable as possible. They are always pleasant and generous with their help. It is the nearest it can be to her living at home except knowing I am relaxed that she is in good hands.

My mother in law was so well looked after here. Staff were very caring and considerate. They noted when Mum may have needed a boost or additional care and they would then spend a bit more time with her which gave her a lift. I would highly recommend Cherry Tree. It was a hard decision to put Mum
into care but we picked the best place.

Since 2008, I have been dedicated to the care sector, driven by a deep passion for delivering person-centred care and empowering care staff on their own development journey. I believe that care is not just a profession but a significant part of your life that requires wholehearted commitment. Liz has worked in the care sector for 25 years and has been with Cherry Tree House for the past 10 years. During her time here, she has been given the opportunity to study and achieve her Level 2 NVQ in Housekeeping and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.


Liz is passionate and dedicated to creating the perfect home for our residents, and will always go above and beyond to make sure we do. She loves being the first point of contact for families and making sure their experience with us is positive by being as helpful as possible.


Outside of work, Liz enjoys nothing more than exploring our local countryside with her family.

My journey with Salveo Care began in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. I have a passion for high-quality care, and clinical oversight and I am dedicated to advocating for our residents and their families. Being a part of Salveo Care is incredibly rewarding as we truly care about the residents’ well-being, and we are genuinely committed to supporting and nurturing our staff team.
