I am extremely pleased we selected this care home. The staff are really caring, thoughtful and friendly. The social activities are many and varied. The management team are always helpful and easy to talk to. The maintenance team are outstanding with their service, in particular, the gardens are colourful and the house interior and exterior is well maintained.
Cherry Tree House provided an excellent respite experience for my mother. A small friendly home with caring, attentive staff and spotless rooms. There was a diverse programme of events to join in (or not), creating a stimulating environment and well planned care so my mother felt safe. Great to be able to join her too for a coffee or a meal booked ahead. Visitors felt welcome.
Very good experience. The staff were very kind, helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, and my room was comfortable.
I was admitted to Cherry Tree House in October 2019. The premises were spotless and consequently, there was not the overriding smell which one often gets in premises like these. I would, however, say that the type of some occupants left much to be desired, although I appreciate the difficulties you must face.
My father lived at Cherry Tree for two weeks while we were adapting his house. I was delighted with the care he received and completely confident that he was comfortable, safe and well cared for while I was unable to look after him. Principally, the staff were exemplary. Everyone, without exception, was genuinely friendly and interested in my father's comfort and well-being. The staff were skilled and professional at all times but my overall impression (and I or other family members visited every day) was of the warmth and genuine care that everyone exhibited. They really could not do enough for him. The food was excellent and was very important in helping him recuperate from a long stay in hospital which had sapped his strength and fitness. His room was very pleasant although some of the rooms are quite small since Cherry Tree is not purpose-built, but the overall environment; is homely and cosy. I would not hesitate to recommend Cherry Tree House and its team.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for sharing your positive feedback which is important to us. I will ensure your wonderful comments will be shared with our caring team. Warm regards.
Mum's care needs have changed as her dementia has developed. The management and staff keep me fully informed with all matters involving mum, they regularly update her care plan to ensure it is perfectly tailored to meet her needs. The care she receives is of really high quality. The staff provide regular activities for residents and families alike.
The manger is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional - I have been really impressed with how she runs the care home.
Overall, I am extremely happy with Cherry Tree House. I have recommended it to others in the same situation as me, knowing that it's somewhere that they can feel confident that their loved ones are safely looked after in a caring and friendly environment.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for your wonderful comments, we take great pride in ensuring we deliver the best of care for our residents. Your comments will be shared with our team and are very much appreciated. Best wishes, Jenny.
Keep up the great work. With grateful thanks.
Since joining the home at the beginning of the year, I settled in very quickly and found the home very comfortable and airy. The staff are very kind and efficient. Overall, extremely good and I feel like part of the lovely family unit here.
The care and attention she received were excellent and due to her dementia, we decided to make it her permanent residence.
The home is small and welcoming with a family feel.
The staff are always happy to help and deal with any questions that may arise.
They regularly put on events for charity which the residents and families enjoy together.
My mum is very well looked after. Always warm, well fed and very comfortable. The 'in house' activities are varied and there is a homely atmosphere. The care staff are always available and extremely cheerful and friendly. I probably could not have chosen a better care home.
I always take the "caller" to bed with me (not actually in the bed but on the desk beside it) in case I need help in the night.
I have been on respite care at Cherry Tree House since end of October 2018. The care and help that I have received has been excellent, with the staff being attentive, friendly and helpful where needed. The facilities are good and the daily activities are a great way to socialise with other residents.
The food is good, though more of a choice would be nice and it could be hotter - my porridge was cold this morning! And my bedroom is small but perfectly comfortable with its own toilet and basin.
There is one small thing that I have noticed which should be updated. In one of the shower rooms, I note that the floor is tiled and when the shower is on, it gets very slippery, which to me is a very real hazard. To avoid slipping, you have to put towels on the floor.
I would definitely recommend Cherry Trees as a very nice, comfortable place to stay, it’s small (20) which means you get to see and know everyone, including all the staff.
Extremely pleasant staff. Very efficient and friendly and caring.
The activities are very good and varied.
I can't rate them enough. Thank you.
My mother was very happy with her experience and we were very satisfied with the care she received. Most of it depends on the staff and they were all excellent. It was very comfortable and warm and we wouldn't hesitate to come back if the need arose. If I had a criticism it would be that the food was a little inconsistent, often good but sometimes not.
The ticks say it all - lovely staff, good food. Excellent!
I am favourably impressed with the attention I am given. All my requests are dealt with, everything is done to make me comfortable.
Everyone at Cherry Tree House makes mum feel at home and I am appreciative of all that the Manager and her team do to support both mum and me. Cherry Tree House has a very homely feel, the lounge is nicely decorated and the bright pink and turquoise armchairs make it a cheery place to be. Mum enjoys the activities and is a very active resident always participating with the great team. The chef is superb and the meals are excellent and worthy of 5 stars.
I am very happy. I love being with my friends. I am happy with my care. They are nice to me.

Meet the Team (3)

My journey with Salveo Care began in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. Driven by a desire to muck in and make a difference during such a critical time, I started my career in care whilst studying for my psychology degree. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with elderly care, and I decided to pursue every opportunity to learn and progress in this field once I had finished my degree. I have a passion for high-quality care and clinical oversight, and I am dedicated to advocating for our residents and their families. Being a part of Salveo Care is incredibly rewarding as we truly care about the residents’ well-being, and we are genuinely committed to supporting and nurturing our staff team. My job, friends and family bring me immense joy in life, and I truly value these meaningful connections.

Liz has worked in the care sector for 25 years and has been with Cherry Tree House for the past 10 years. During her time here, she has been given the opportunity to study and achieve her Level 2 NVQ in Housekeeping and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.
Liz is passionate and dedicated to creating the perfect home for our residents, and will always go above and beyond to make sure we do. She loves being the first point of contact for families and making sure their experience with us is positive by being as helpful as possible.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys nothing more than exploring our local countryside with her family.

It is an honour to be Salveo Care’s nominated individual and I vow to do everything in my power to keep our residents safe and happy while they are in our care. With a degree in psychology and a passion for wellness, I love trying to find new ways of improving the quality of life for our residents. I'm determined to get the best out of my team so we can work together to make a genuine impact on individuals and the care sector as a whole, in particular focusing on the experience of elderly people. In my personal and professional life, I am open-minded and will take every opportunity to learn something new. With a fascination for human behaviour, I enjoy listening to podcasts, watching documentaries and speaking to different people. Aside from this, I love being a mum and finding creative outlets and I am truly happiest when hosting and helping people.
