Very helpful and informative at initial contact. Since then, all the staff have been very friendly to both my mother and I. Always happy to pass on information about her condition and tell me about any activities she has taken part in. Very happy with all aspects of her care.

The carers cannot do enough to help my mother and make her time there as pleasurable as possible. They are always pleasant and generous with their help. It is the nearest it can be to her living at home except knowing I am relaxed that she is in good hands.

My mother in law was so well looked after here. Staff were very caring and considerate. They noted when Mum may have needed a boost or additional care and they would then spend a bit more time with her which gave her a lift. I would highly recommend Cherry Tree. It was a hard decision to put Mum into care but we picked the best place.

My mother spent 4 years at Cherry Tree. The staff were always loving and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention must go to the house manager

who went beyond the call of duty to make sure mum was taken care of.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and professionalism my mother received during her 4 years at Cherry Trees. The staff were great and the Care Manager went above and beyond the call of duty over the last 5 difficult months whilst my Mother was unwell. Her support was greatly appreciated. Whilst my Mother was reluctant to go into care, she eventually called it home.

My father has been a resident for some 3 years and during that time our family has appreciated the homely nature of the care provided. As Dad's needs have changed, I've found the staff very willing to discuss and implement, where possible, changes to his care regime.

Very friendly atmosphere in a pleasant, not too large home. Carers try their very best, chef and food produced particularly good. Very good understanding of individual needs and a real willingness to work with relatives to try and create the right, tailored solutions for individuals in care e.g. retaining independence.

Rose May has been a resident at Cherry Tree House since November 2015 and I believe she is happy there. She is 102 so possibly at this advanced age, not many people want to live in a Care Home but she is well looked after with very good care and cleanliness. It has a lovely, homely atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. The food is excellent and she often says this to me. She doesn't really join in many activities but that has always been her way and it doesn't help that she won't wear her hearing aids so conversation is limited and often involves written notes!! Her room is somewhat small but I doubt this bothers her and she does have access to the garden where she loves to sit in the sun.

She was in a Home in London prior to here and I have had experience of several Care Homes with her sisters and other relatives and I would honestly say that CTH is the best I have come across.

Overall Experience
Cherry Tree House has undergone two big changes this year. A change of manager early in the year, which although always unsettling, seems to have had little effect on the day to day care provided. Additional staff training has been put into place. There are now regular (monthly) meetings between relatives, residents and the manager, a relaxed time when issues, if any, can be discussed freely.
A change of ownership of the home has also taken place. I hope that the new owners keep the philosophy of this lovely home. It is a warm, friendly environment for visitors and residents.
There have also been several staff changes but the team, led by the manager and some very good team leaders, provide care of a good standard and my mother is always treated with dignity and respect. She is now unable to clearly communicate her needs but the staff are, on the whole, sensitive to her needs and are gentle and caring.

The standard of catering is especially high.

Cherry Tree is an excellent care home. Whenever I visit my aunt, there is always a nice warm welcome. The staff are all very friendly. The manager is a very lovely lady who also works with the staff in all aspects of their care. A very nice people person who cares about her residents and staff. After working in local government and visiting several care homes this one tops the lot.

Megan MillsonJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2020

My journey with Salveo Care began in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. Driven by a desire to muck in and make a difference during such a critical time, I started my career in care whilst studying for my psychology degree. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with elderly care, and I decided to pursue every opportunity to learn and progress in this field once I had finished my degree. I have a passion for high-quality care and clinical oversight, and I am dedicated to advocating for our residents and their families. Being a part of Salveo Care is incredibly rewarding as we truly care about the residents’ well-being, and we are genuinely committed to supporting and nurturing our staff team. My job, friends and family bring me immense joy in life, and I truly value these meaningful connections.

Liz is passionate and dedicated to creating the perfect home for our residents, and will always go above and beyond to make sure we do. She loves being the first point of contact for families and making sure their experience with us is positive by being as helpful as possible.

Outside of work, Liz enjoys nothing more than exploring our local countryside with her family.

It is an honour to be Salveo Care’s nominated individual and I vow to do everything in my power to keep our residents safe and happy while they are in our care. With a degree in psychology and a passion for wellness, I love trying to find new ways of improving the quality of life for our residents. I'm determined to get the best out of my team so we can work together to make a genuine impact on individuals and the care sector as a whole, in particular focusing on the experience of elderly people. In my personal and professional life, I am open-minded and will take every opportunity to learn something new. With a fascination for human behaviour, I enjoy listening to podcasts, watching documentaries and speaking to different people. Aside from this, I love being a mum and finding creative outlets and I am truly happiest when hosting and helping people.
