The staff were all really attentive to my mother's needs and generally seemed to care. They had to call the paramedics one night and the care and compassion was exceptional.

My nan was very happy here and well looked after. It was a relief to know that she got the care she needed and she was happy. There were lots of social events organised which really suited my nan and the staff are lovely.

On two occasions my father in law was admitted to hospital and the staff were responsible for identifying his needs and getting the local surgery doctor to see him urgently and admitted to hospital. All the staff are responsive and caring. The summer BBQ was excellent and attended by all.

My father has been at Burlington Hall for nearly two years, during which there have been several changes but the care of the residents has always remained the highest priority. All the staff - cleaners, cooks, gardener, reception plus, of course, the carers are always cheerful, friendly and welcoming. If I have ever had any concerns about Dad, someone has always been available to discuss those concerns and to reassure me. There is a full activity programme and relatives and the outside community are encouraged to attend a variety of social events.

The front gardens are a delight!

Burlington Hall is a care home with an emphasis on care. Care is given by carers who actually do care for the senior citizens in the twilight of their lives.

The carers face many daily challenges but above all, they really do care for these people.

Burlington Hall is a well-run care home, from the moment you go across the threshold you are made to feel welcome.

Everyone is so polite, caring and friendly. This comes across in all aspects of the business.

The residents are well cared for and treated like one of their own family.

The rooms are bright, fresh and well maintained. All residents are encouraged to make them their own.

To smile, and enjoy life is clearly put into practice every day. The wonderful barbecue they put on today was amazing, everyone having fun, dancing and laughing - so lovely to be part of this.

Well done Burlington Hall for all you do. Keep up your amazing work and thank you.

Overall Experience

My aunt was a resident for over a 3-year stay and staff were always very attentive to her needs and wishes. I never had any concerns about her care or daily needs being catered for. The staff at all times were very caring and put the needs of the residents at the front of everything. Money was always being spent on keeping the home clean, tidy and a pleasing and homely environment for the residents. Family and friends were always welcomed and encouraged to spend time at the home, with open days and meals with residents if you wanted to stay. The management also had fantastic family communication, with news letters and updates on any staff or home changes and also encouraged feed back on any area of concern. The home is a short walk to the high street, so you'll often see staff members out walking with or pushing residents in wheelchairs to the various shops or banks to encourage continued independent activity.

Although a visitor, I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff which started at reception and from there I was impressed with the same from the carers I saw.

The ambience of the establishment was first class and the room (visited was kept and of an acceptable standard).

The person I visited was very pleased with the all round service and facilities.

In March 2017 our neighbour and friend was admitted into Burlington Hall. I can not praise the staff highly enough also how kind and caring the manager has been. The food is very high standard. And we have always been offered tea and biscuits when visiting. The rooms are also of very good quality. I would have to say when such bad press is always heard of this care home can hold its head very high. I would like to express my thanks to you all for all your excellent care of our neighbour and friend.

My 84-year-old mother in declining health settled into Burlington Hall surprisingly quickly. The staff are always very kind and know exactly how to act/react to her to meet her needs. The burden of caring for her has been lifted from me so that I can just enjoy the time I have with her. Now my mother's health is improving, she is putting on weight, making friends and taking an interest in things. She enjoys activities and there are lots of things going on which stimulate her. Her personal comfort and individual needs are met. She is very happy and I cannot thank ALL the staff enough. The garden is superb, the cleaners keep her room lovely, all the carers are lovely, the food is excellent and the management are always looking to help - it is an excellent home. Thank you.

My relative moved to Burlington Hall in December 2015. Burlington Hall had prepared for his arrival which included a two-hour appointment at the hospital prior to arrival. Throughout his stay, our relative was very well cared for. If only there were more care homes with the same ethos.

It never easy making a decision to move ones parents from their home to a care home but the staff and the facilities a Burlington Hall made that slightly easier. My mother has been there just over a year now and we are impressed by the caring nature of the staff. They are always available, I have visited various times of the day and days of the week, and have taken the time to get to know the special needs of my Mum.

The facility is secure, clean and safe. They work well with the local doctors and take care when medications are given.

I would highly recommend.
